    Today, I wanted to share how I use Evoto AI's photo retouching to make more money doing photography! Modestly estimating, if you're retouching a set of 100 photos for your client, you're spending anywhere from 4-6 hours retouching in Photoshop. But, utilizing AI, you can get perfect retouching results in minutes and only spend less than an hour reviewing the photos to make any tweaks! This lets me book double, or even triple, the amount of clients without compromising quality or delivery speed--all while costing significantly less than hiring an editor, letting you compete with bigger photo agencies that have an army of photographers and editors.

    Wow, I remembered 2 years ago, I sat down with a buddy in discord and he was showing me the early stages of Ai editing. It has really changed from just simple changing the sky blue to orange.
    Question though, how do you feel about Ai taking away from the creative process over film on top of pictures and images?

    • @DavidZhou
      @DavidZhou  3 месяца назад +2

      There are definitely times when AI "replaces" the creative process like generative AI (text-to-images) but, in my opinion, AI assisted tools (like AI assisted culling that just gives you predictive guesses on which photos from a set might be the best, AI editing that learns based on your style and applies edits predictively based on that, and AI retouching as shown here) are just the next level of automation to reduce the tediousness of the photo editing process. I think the real creativity comes from ideation, composition, lighting, posing, direction, etc.

    It still sucks at telling the difference between freckles and blemishes and most of my manual work involves me image by image undoing the removal of freckles... Why does ai software like evoto and retouchforme suck so hard at telling the difference between a freckle and a blemish when we humans can tell the difference just fine. It's been years and ai still can't tell the difference.
    I would give them my money for the time it would save for blemish removal if I did not have to do it manually image by image.
    Get this sorted evoto, it's the first and most important step of retouching.
    After that you might want to look at making dodge and burn better able to detect unwanted dark areas because I often have to open images in Photoshop to do some manual dodge and burning.
    The freckles is pretty much every image so you need to fix that first. Dodge and burning depends on the person and the lighting if I need to do manual stuff.

    Yeah, rip off AI financially , one wedding 83 dollars if only you deliver 1200 images.. it's good but the pricing is very high, the market will be full with editing software like this, and there are stand alone programs for lifetime pricing for under 150 dollars

    • @DavidZhou
      @DavidZhou  3 месяца назад +2

      I think the pricing can definitely come down but at the same time it also depends on how you're pricing your shoots! If you spend even a minute per photo doing manual retouching, that's 20 hours of retouching. So at $83 for 1,200, if you spent that time retouching instead of booking other shoots, you'd be saving (or I guess "earning") $4.15/hour. Traditionally, you'd either only retouch select photos or outsource it to an editor (and I know there are some cheaper bulk retouchers out there), but in my eyes, I have more control over the results of this option and it cuts my editing time down significantly.
      Now... If they can make it even cheaper per export... I'm all for it.

      @@DavidZhou no, dosn't work, it's too much still, sooner or later Adobe will introduce all these features small companies have now, and for 160 dollars i have for life portrait pro 23 or something like this....and you forget something, not all your viewers are from US!...so as you guest it, im from Europe...and one more thing, there are over 5000 AI companies

      @strippedlist I see your point. But AI isn't perfect, and a good photographer will be able to adjust the photos better than I bad photographer, and that difference is important to some people in the market
