Everyone keeps leaving out the fact that the robot shown In the Ashoka trailer is the one from clone wars who teaches younglings how to build their lightsabers. Can’t help but wonder how he fits in with all this..

Pretty much every trailer breakdown covered that, when the trailer first came out. It's not really relevant in a video like this, about who Shin and Baylan are.

    • @BSlackN
      @BSlackN Год назад

@@chrisfromsouthaus2735 I’m not referring to the trailer breakdowns. I’m referring to these two new characters, and this particular video. I think it could be completely relevant when you’re discussing where they could’ve come from and how they might have gotten the training they’ve needed to build their lightsabers. He may have shown up because of them. They could’ve been part of a group of Jedi he was hiding with from the empire. Perhaps he was teaching with them and they strayed from the path seeking revenge for fallen Jedi or just started turning to the dark side, something along those lines.

@@BSlackN You said "everyone keeps leaving", that's simply not true. It's been brought up many times by many different creators. And what, now your saying that because there could hypothetically be a relationship between Huyang and these two, it should be covered? These videos would be 20+ hours long, if every baseless hypothetical was covered. It's hypothetically possible that Baylan is secretly working for Jar Jar Binks.

This is a solid, well thought out theory, and I think it fits well with the direction Timothy Zahn took with the canon Thrawn novels. How cool would it be if during his clash/duel with Ahsoka, Baylan Skoll explains his motivations by borrowing a quote from Thrawn, perhaps one the Grand Admiral had impressed upon him very early:
“There are things in the universe that are simply and purely evil. A warrior does not seek to understand them, or to compromise with them. He seeks only to obliterate them.”
In reference to the Grysk of course. 👍🤞

I like that! He should definitely use that quote

  • @InterstellarApple

Baylan Skoll was around the same age as Anakin when the Jedi was destroyed by order 66, so he may have never finished his training. By the time Shin was born the Jedi were already long gone. Hence, her curiosity and constant questioning about the Jedi, in which Baylan seems to have feelings about but seems to not fully understand it.

at the begining of Asoka production there were a couple of leaks and one was that
    Asoka would meet Force-Sensitive Magic-users
it makes more sense as they are FAR from that part of the galaxy (sith/jedi)
and probably only know of the jedi from legends of great travelers in their history
I think that was the only way Thrawn knew of them before he went out to search for them

  • @biggsdarklighter0473

In legends, red crystals were synthetic crystals. Weaker than natural crystals from ilum or anywhere else, but strong enough to withstand them for some time. there was also an alternative to the saber crystals from Ilum, which were yellow in color, and primarily adopted by jedi sentinels, who were the spies, tech experts, assasins, and anything else that wasn´t traditionally light side. Those crystals were, if memory serves correctly, also a little weaker than the lightsaber crystals from Ilum, but if the sentinels did their job correctly, it wouldn´t see much action anyways.
Sentinels were also some of the most secretive Jedi in the order, given the nature of their jobs. They were unlike most other knights or professions in the order to most knights sent to specific regions of the galaxy, where they surveilled the area concerning crime rate, force-sensitives or other anomalies.
The red crystals got their colour during a process known as "blooding", which is why ahsokas crystals were white, since they came originally from an inquisitors saber, which use red blades, as far as I know, but they somehow got "unblooded"/purified by ahsoka, causing them to lose their colour.
So, my theory is that the crystals were the sentinels crystals, who apparently lost some part of themselves. And in order to not draw suspicion it was easier to repair them using the siths tactics, making a kind of composite crystal, perfectly formed to repair damages to the old crystal (and thereby soul of the sentinel), using the darkside. I imagine their skills in saber combat won´t be the most spectacular, and force powers won´t be used as much, and they rely on other weapons, like advanced tech or sth., similar to mandos.

I can't wait for the Ahsoka series to begin. The theories going around are super interesting. My favorite so far is the one that Baylan is actually Anakin from a different timeline or universe (this is from Star Wars Theory's channel). I would like to expand upon that theory and then give an additional theory. Let me know what you think. Theory 1: Anakin took a slightly different journey in this alternate timeline. He didn't turn to the Sith, but believed what Palpatine told him in terms of resurrecting his wife. So Anakin ends up finding Padme at the last moment and somehow manages to "put her on ice" or transfer her consciousness to a new body. Perhaps this process took years of waiting for the right tech. But he accomplishes his task...somewhat. The Shin character you see is actually a Padme clone, however she's not completely Padme. Think of her as 20% Padme or something. Which would be truly tragic. But she ends up being fiercely loyal to Anakin anyways. How Luke and Leia fit into this, I have NO IDEA. Perhaps they have a mind-mindbogglingly sad reunion during this Ahsoka series. Dad (non-Sith), Mom (pseudo Padme), Luke (Jedi), and Leia (Jedi). That would be kind of awesome actually. But back to Anakin and Padme and their motivations. Anakin wants to use the "world between worlds" to go back in time and cancel Order 66. The fact Anakin discovered the "world between worlds" and has been working inside it, trying to learn its secrets for years...means Anakin is now a master of untold powers and knowledge. He's super-focused on his goal to the point of working with an evil guy (Thrawn) and making a deal. The deal is that Anakin will connect up the pathway to the past, and Thrawn will invade with his fleet and take over (provided Palpatine is destroyed and the Jedi are saved). Thrawn has other plans of course. Thrawn plans to jump back to the battle of Endor and finish the Rebellion at the point the Death Star is destroyed, thus killing two birds with one stone. Ahsoka learns of the deception and informs Anakin of the betrayal. Anakin does not believe her and a tragic battle begins! Theory 2: Baylan is a survivor of Order 66 and wants to go back in time and save the Jedi (see above theory). Here, Shin is just a padawan of sorts and believes in Anakin's cause. Maybe she was a baby Jedi at the time of Order 66, and Baylan saved her from the Jedi nursery at the last moment and raised her as his daughter? Who knows. But I sense fierce loyalty between them for some reason. Another thing about how the trailer depicts the duo...they seem to be slaughtering everyone in sight, as if they are on a mission. Their actions may be misunderstood. Perhaps they believe in their goal so much (resetting the time line) that they believe any killing they do is irrelevant. It's all going to get reset anyways, right? Theory 2 follows the same plot with Thrawn. Baylan believes his promise, but is betrayed. Ahsoka has to step in and stop all of this from happening. To summarize, I like the potential tragic nature of all this. If the series ends up being anything close to what I described, I will be VERY impressed. I can't wait to see what Baylan and Shin represent!

They were active during this time under General Syndulla and Admiral Ackbar. And will we see Luthen Rael reveal hes a fallen jedi in the new season of Andor, since we know some jedi joined Saw Guerrera and his insurgents after order 66, as we saw with Cal Kestis in Jedi Survivor. There's a rumor that Baylan Skoll is actually an Anakin Skywalker from a different multiverse who survived Order 66 but still became a dark Jedi (instead of a full-blown Sith), and that Shin Hati is a female clone of his son, Luke Skywalker, who becomes his apprentice. With the "two wolves" symbology based on Norse mythology, that would definitely make for an interesting twist. Especially with Ahsoka, once Anakin's first apprentice, having to confront them both. We shall see~

MCU is getting backlash for overuse of the multi verse. Can you imagine if another Disney entity started doing it?

It's sad news about Ray Stevenson. This Baylan character reminds me a bit of Ser Barristan Selmy from Game of Thrones. He's obviously a Sith. He could possibly be a Sith Inquisitor. A Jedi who survived Order 66 who turned to the Dark Side. A Sith temple guard or an Imperial Knight
