    Having seen the last episode of the Ahsoka series, I think its pretty clear now what the future has in store for us... and it's going to be horrific. Baylan Skoll is about to unleash a danger on this galaxy, the likes of which has not been seen for thousands of years. Thankfully Ahsoka Tano is in the right place and time to stop it, and she has more than a few special tricks up her sleeves.

      Incorrect. The 3 Moritis Gods did not all die to the dagger. The Son was actually killed by Anakin’s lightsaber… Which may elude to him NOT being fully dead.

      I think one of the reasons Ahsoka is great is they have brought back Mystery. There are still great unknown things in the vast infinite Universe. The Prequels seemed too much like just another day in the Jedi office... and not enough epic mystery even thought they had conspiracy.

    Baylon Skoll is the absolute most interesting character to me in this show. It is heartbreaking that Ray Stevenson passed away, he did such an amazing job. I hope they at least pick up his journey and what he is looking for one way or another. My guess is that they make him disappear to what he is searching for (if that is Abeloth or World Between Worlds) and Shin/Ahsoka are both going to search for him and end up finding it.

  • @dutchrjen

    The Mortis Gods (celestials) are the following:
    1) Father is order and balance (preserves/balances what exists).
    2) Daughter is the light side (creation and wisdom).
    3) Son is the dark side (destruction and power).
    4) Mother after she became immortal is chaos and unbalance. Abeloth (the mother) also brings a "clean slate" or "new beginning" (wipes clean what exists).
    The "mother" drank from the well of power (dark side) and fountain of wisdom (light side), but it went "wrong." Instead of both becoming balanced everything unbalanced. She's full dark and light at the same time but always unbalanced. In practice the result is evil and chaos (but also eventually rebirth).
    Abeloth seems to be the most likely direction.

    Anakin goes from being in Ahsoka's dreams, to being historically present as an archived hologram in front of her, to being present in that very moment with her. He becomes more tangible and real as Ahsoka grows closer to him once more, becoming her true self and training her own Padawan to do the same. As Ahsoka grows into herself at her best, at her core, as does the presence of her Master, because he lives through her. By the end of the season, where we see him as a Ghost, he, present in the moment with his Padawan, no longer has any words to say - the training has been completed, all he does is smile with contentment, as she turns away and returns to her new life.

    I thought that Sabine's force push was kinda out of nowhere, but I thought about it and remembered that the core of Force manipulation is all about belief. Of course, someone as brazen and bull-headed as Sabine would wholeheartedly believe that they can do something right out of the gate once they overcame the initial self-doubt. Pulling her lightsaber across the room in a moment of crisis was exactly what she needed to gain the confidence that she sorely lacked. She saw that she could use the force, and immediately believed she could throw her friend across Springfield Gorge.

      I agree. I think Sabine is the dictionary definition of “do or do not, there is no try” and that is the problem inherit in all Mandalorians. It wasn’t until she was at the brink of death (in addition to years of training) that she was finally able to “break through” and once that happened, she was able to reach possibly her max force strength almost immediately from that point on.
      Maybe the reason there’s been only 1 mando Jedi is because of how long the training/apprenticeship period takes before a Mando can actually “break through”.

    • @PaulusAlone
      @PaulusAlone 7 месяцев назад +7

      Problem is George Lucas cannon was that you HAD to BE Force Sensitive to wield the Force and most people weren’t.
      Sabine herself was repeatedly shown to have no such Force Sensitivity or connection to the Force and then she has a relatively minor brush with death compared to previous events but suddenly she can cheese it like a bank robber and pull off full Jedi moves?
      Nah~ Its that lazy Disney princess thing of “wishes coming true” as if just willing it will somehow give access to raw talent and power?
      That is the modern era narcissistic mentality of thinking everything can be yours if you want it or will it enough and frankly speaking it’s delusional and entitled nonsense.
      Sabine cannot will to power the Force Sensitivity that was lacking in her in the same way that Anakin and Luke couldn’t will their lost limbs back?
      The Force doesn’t work like that and neither does our real world.
      It’s the old problem of Disney Star Wars trying to bypass Force talent and Jedi training and jump straight to flashy OP mode like some hacker in a video game?
      The irony is that Filoni should just have written in a slow Force awakening over the episodes for Sabine or created a plot device or McGuffin like exposure to the World between worlds or something to explain how she can suddenly access the Force at such a ridiculously high level rather than this scene where she just pulls it out of her ass.
      This is actually cheapening the Force into a gimmick in the same way that the lethality and consequences of the lightsaber itself is been turned into a jokey rubber truncheon.
      For example we all know that unlike Anakin or Luke, Sabine is not going to lose a limb or suffer consequences from losing a lightsaber battle because Disney. Thus she gets ran through the guts and back by Shin in earlier episodes and is back on her feet in no time.
      Meh~ It’s Disney Lucasfilm trying to turn a harvest without putting in the work.;3

      @@PaulusAlone George has said that “everybody can do it” not just the Jedi and “it’s just the Jedi [and sith] that take the time to do it.”
      Those are quotes from him. Hell, the biggest problem the fanboys had with the prequels was they thought the miticlorians ruined the canon of everyone being able to use the force. (Although that’s not what miticlorians indicate).
      There’s also Luke who showed no natural force talent until he met Kenobi when he was like 20, other than being a good pilot/womp rat shooter. Much the same, Sabine showed some aptitude being able to wield the dark saber with some ease compared to Mando who always struggled with it.
      Sabine also spent years witnessing Kanan and Ezra using the force and then training with Ahsoka (between Rebel and Ahsoka series). Between her genius level IQ and natural dark saber skills, I feel like she has shown that the “passive” force is strong with her but the Mandalorian psyche makes it nearly impossible to break through the “wall” that prevents her from accessing “active” force abilities like manipulating objects.
      Once she’s was at the brink of death with no other way out, in ADDITION to years of training and natural passive force talent, she was able to finally break through to the active force. This is much different and way more developed than the Rey/Mary Sue argument in which I would agree with you.

  • @zachf9464
    @zachf9464 7 месяцев назад +28

    I think Sabine is the dictionary definition of “do or do not, there is no try” and that is the problem inherit in all Mandalorians.
    It’s arguable that she has shown “passive” force talent with her genius level IQ and effective use of the Dark Saber. It could be that it wasn’t until she was at the brink of death (in addition to years of previous training with Ahsoka) that she was finally able to “break through” to using the “physical” force (telekinesis/object manipulation) and once that happened, she was able to reach possibly her max “physical” force strength almost immediately from that point on. Also, force push/pull is as basic as force usage gets so it’s not like she did something groundbreaking by pushing Ezra.
    Maybe the reason there’s been only 1 mando Jedi is because of how long the training/apprenticeship period takes before a Mandalorian can actually “break through” and maybe this just isn’t known and therefore Mandalorians are just never considered for training.

The way ahsoka looked at morai at the end of the episode combined with her saying they are where they need to be, given her past on mortis… While it could be the mother, I’m not sure why she’d take out the statue of her daughter where as the son wouldn’t want the reminder of him killing her

That's how he came up with Thrawn, he needed a gunning and strategic imperial officer, so instead of creating a new one, he just said, "Hey, let's use Thrawn." He doesn't steal from legends he just comes up with an idea, researches to see if any exist already in legends, if there isn't any in legends then he'll create his own from scratch.

    THEORY:
    Nightwitches claim to have existed before time was counted in their power.
    Night MOTHERS are multiple here, whereas there was only one such rank in the main galaxy; Mother Talzin.
    Their Magick is based in Dark Side control using alchemy and manifestation of words to conjure and control Ikor (the green energy substance).
    Abeloth was known as the Mother, and is a Dark Side entity that uses words to corrupt and ensnare the minds of those she wishes to corrupt.
    I submit that the Dathomiri are cultists of the most ancient kind that worship the mother and traveled to the known galaxy as Abeloth's corruption led to the destruction of all that was here, settling on Dathomir. By this time, the Celestials had already abandoned the Mother by millennia and came to the main galaxy, kickstarting what would eventually lead to the influencing of the Jedi, then later the Dark Jedi, and later still the Sith and other cults of force users.
    Abeloth is now alone, calling to Skoll to be released so that she might follow her "Family" and lay waste to what exists in our own galaxy in her corruption as revenge for her abandonment. The Witches have gone to hibernation to evade Abeloth's control and are likely few in number after having so many of them turning and needing killing, leaving only what was necessary to be found and escape in some foreseen salvation...Thrawn.
    Now they are paying for passage with their fellow Dathomiri to seek asylum and restart their once great empire, not in subjugation of the Mother, but by subjugating a thrall of their own. Thrawn is simply using their desperation to meet his own ends, likely already planning ways to contain and control the Dathomiri, or possibly even betray them outright, for the sake of the Empire.

    • @marcelgrabowski5939
      @marcelgrabowski5939 7 месяцев назад

      It is not entirely out of question to just let them be, Dathomiri were overall highly isolationists, and even if great mothers plan to carve empire of they own, they are not sith, they could coexist with Thrawns own empire, or even ally with it, considering that Thrawn was all the time very fond of having allies.

    just a thought on how the almost certain ritual will play out:
    Baylen = the father as he uses both sides of the force and stays in the middle
    Shati = the son as she is chaotic and lives for violence aka gives into the dark side
    and Ahsoka is the daughter by literally having the daughter inside of her
    its a given that Baylen wants to take the power of the celestials for himself but im guessing as a twist Sabine is going to at least temporarily play host to Abeloth as she best represents the whole "part in the world but not of the world" as while she has some force ability she is neither greatly talented nor leaning one way or the other, instead she has mostly served the force.

    And for those who can buy the lightsaber summoning, but are struggling with her yeeting Ezra 2 minutes after first using the force, remember one of the franchise's first force teachings;
    Size Matters Not.
    Provided she could aim him right (which she barely managed to) it wouldn't be much, if any more difficult than force-pushing her lightsaber across the gap. (Though don't quote me on that, it's been a few years since I properly watched the OT)

    Another great video. Thank you. Not having read any Star Wars books or seen the video games, videos like this help me fill in the gaps. Ahsoka seems to be doing the role of the daughter. In every way? No. But briefly seeing Anakin smiling in episode 8, the same confident and relaxed way Ahsoka keeps smiling, assures all of us that she's on the right track. This tells me that Anakin's destiny to bring balance is a continuing role, including letting the audience know how important that role has been throughout the franchise, tying and balancing everything about Star Wars together neatly for everyone, even us viewers. Baylan craves a non-cyclical nature to everything at some undefined "beginning." Killing Ahsoka would be the only way I can see. I doubt that will happen unless they kill each other. Why? Anakin fully supports Ahsoka just as she is with Sabine, always master and apprentice. Baylan never got the memo for his diad with Shin, it seems. He can't even support her from another realm until he dies. They are both teetering on the edge of possibilities, so to speak, leaving the well-interested audience to speculate if or when they fall. Still, everyone has a role to play in a balancing act a long time ago in a galaxy, or galaxies, far, far away.

    Um, Shinn wasn't abandoned by Thrawn, she had time to make it back to the Chimera but she wandered off to the bandit camp instead.

      @ukmediawarrior queen of a small tribe is still a queen. Mother Talzin could have been ruler of a rather large area of space. She chose to stay on Dathomir and be absolute ruler versus the bullshit Palpatine had to deal with because his reach exceed his grasp... Galactic Empire only endured for 20 years, nothing compared to the Galactic Republic.

    I was initially very skeptical about Abeloth potentially appearing, but have wanted someone to use her in live-action for years. With the episode being named Dreams and Nightmares, the celestial statues, the fact that Baylan's wording when he talks about the power strongly indicates something long-living and intelligent, the overall creepy feel of Peridea, and a few characters being uneasy, she fits really well with the current hints available.

    Anakin is one of the few force ghosts willing to interfere with events in the physical. Most jedi would probably just observe and talk at most and even then they rarly even talk as a force ghost. I think part of the reason he is the chosen one has to do with him mastering all aspects of the force, and because of his personality, and attachment he is more willing to interfere in the death of ahsoka or maybe have more other similar meaningful impacts on future events. as obi-one said "You can't win, Darth. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine." If obi-one views "More powerful then you can imagine" as talking to the living and giving them advice and wisdom, and anakin views it as using the world between worlds to save someone he cares about and then teach them and even spare with them. Its almost like anakin has become a vessel for the will of the force. Idk im bad at constructing theroys but i hope someone sees this and steals my idea.

    The fact the “power” scares zombie raising dark witches makes me think it’ll be Abaloth. Plus the timing around Halloween now seems extra intentional, ending the season with a literal soul consuming monster feels right.

    Shin was not abandoned by her master, he gave her the ok to walk her own path for power and she took it. She could have stayed with her master if she wished.

    I was hoping Sabine would be a Jedi without being force sensitive. Jedi learning to build an order that doesn't solely rely on Lightsabers and magic powers feels like a cool new direction for them. If Sabine learned the ways of the jedi and practiced Jedi discipline she wouldn't necessarily need the magic.

    After every episode of this show I've been like "damn, no Shin & Baylan content but I'm sure next episode will be better" all the way up until the end.
    It's pretty disappointing to have learned essentially nothing about the master & apprentice's relationship with each other, their motivations, their history, values, etc even by the last episode.
    Yeah, I'm sure we'll see more of Shin and of course RIP to Ray Stevenson; but especially since I'm sure this was pitched as a "1 season show that can span further if needed" (hence no official S2 announcement yet), I'm disappointed that Dave didn't think to make this a more self-contained story for the new characters it introduced.

    Lol My only question; Why would the family build statues pointing towards their psycho mother for any lost soul to come across and set her free? Maybe it’s just me. Also I’m not sure what to think of Sabines, her force powers seem beyond what she’s learned from Ahsoka, it didn’t feel earned. Other than that, I bow to Filoni!

      All she did was pull a lightsaber and give Ezra's force-jump a boost, the same thing Ezra did with Kanan pretty early in his training on Geonosis. The scene where she pulls her lightsaber to jerself was also pretty clearly a callback to Luke, whose first use of the Force was almkst exactly the same.
