- An atrial septal defect is a hole in the wall between two upper chambers of the heart. To close this congenital hole, the doctor will place a special device in the child's heart by catheterization. The total recovery time is 1-2 months.
Patient should take rest and walk at a normal pace. After 2 weeks, you can start light exercise.
Don't play contact sports for 1 month after surgery.
Sexual activity can be resumed 3 weeks after repair.
Driving is allowed after 4 weeks.
If you need to travel by airplane, walk in the airplane once every hour.
Patients can resume work duties after about 6-8 weeks."

I am ASD closure patient since 2.5 yrs and I v been prescribed metloc XL 100 Rivaroxaban 20 and frusemide 10 Spironolcatone 25 for life long. Do these drugs damage kidney? Please reply

I recently had my ASD closure of 2.5 cm. Its now about 2 months. Everything was normal my ecg my heartbeat was normal. I was feeling easy but from few days back I v been experiencing irregular heartbeat fatigue even faintness and few times chocking breathing. Can you please suggest

@@vishalmehta5526 much better then before. Before i used to have mild pain sensation in my left chest, shoulder, back, arms parts which is gone now. I used to have suffocation when walking upstairs or while running but now I feel much better in stairs. Initial first few post ASD closure months I felt little uncomfortable sometime and doubted if my device is not ok but now its been 6 months more and now its ok but yes sometimes arrhythmia happens but not so often. If u have the same case no need to get panic. I stayed inside the OT waiting for 26 minutes where I waited more than 10minute for my turn. I mean to say that the closure took some 15 minutes. A night hospital stay and then tomorrow discharged. Simple. Wish you good luck.
@@Hatkhola.Chautari brother can you share me your number . I had a open heart surgery 3 months ago but sometimes my heart rate get increase for few minutes to 130-140 then it comes normal
