30:04 has the most devastating 1-2-3 coordinated attack I've ever seen from the bugs. Charger takes down the building but you can dodge it, hunter blocks the view while brood commander appears from the rubble to butcher you.

Charge meter no longer jumps from like 90% to blowing up, you can charge it to basically 99% now.
? It would always get to max charge and you had like a ~second (or possibly >0.5 seconds) to shoot. Once you are past the black mark, you were never getting more charge. It was just a buffer before you blew up

Overpenetration on the railgun is exactly what it needs to get a good niche that fits with its aesthetic.
Stalkers are SOOO much harder to see now, it's insane. They're scary again! I both love and hate it because now they're far more annoying because you can't see them from a mile off but they're also far more fun to fight as you genuinely have to keep track of them because its so easy to lose sight of them now.
Umm...... Use a flamethrower or the electric shotgun to basically sweep around you. Think of yourself as the Pyro and the Stalker as a spy from team fortress 2.

Their cloaking ability is a hint to another enemy that does the same. Be ready 👀
I thought It was just me! I thought I haven't seen them in a while and forgot how invisible they are.
They buffed it from blurry cloak to literal predator lvl of cloaking it was fcking terrifying.....but buffed arc blitzer can perma stunlock them to the point they'll run away

@@OhDough I'm actually so excited. Every patch the game comes more alive with these little flavour changes. The ship tv and crew constantly referencing current events, new animations for boarding ships to cut down on walking time, little animations to show you important information, etc.
Watching it grow will be such an amazing experience over the years

@@rp2974completely false, you have no idea how many lvl 50 idiots I see, they are either dying all the time, wasting stratagems or killing other teammates with them, engaging with patrols or minor interest point enemies for no reason, reinforcing people in the worst places possible. Those are just most of the noob plays I see some lvl 50s do.

The senator feels so good with extra damage/ speed relod and improved iron sights, overall I love this new weapon balance patch

@@LaserTractor Dagger is pretty good at sweeping across trooper heads. It might be a bit more useful when they add more on handed primaries.

The Eruptor doesn't feel any less powerful to me IMHO. Just less ammo.
One thing that's good to do with Gas Strike is to just hold it if you feel you're going down. Your character will drop it on the horde that just ended you, and it will end them back. The way you gauge it is if you suddenly got slowed down or something similar, and the oncoming horde is basically impossible to get away from, as an example.

OhDough I just wanted to say, in the case that you weren't aware.
All Stratagems dialed in can be called even after the Super Destroyer leaves low orbit. You have to keep holding onto the stratagem orb after dialing it in for it to work. If you end up putting the orb back, or come in range with a stratagem scrambler, it deactivates and won't work anymore.
Idk if this is patched, but in the case that you don't know of this, I hope you see this.

The delay when you press ready is actually really good. Bec it allows you to unready if you miss clicked or if you remembered you had the wrong loadout, you couldnt do this previously if you joined a in progress match or was the last one to ready.
Didnt even think about that but that's a great point.
Certainly happened to me enough times where i brought the Redeemer on a search and destroy mission instead of nadepistol.
Not to mention bringing bot loadouts on said bug missions...
ever since I started helldivers 2 I've been craving some kind of videos with it and this is exactly what I was looking for. solo missions with commentary that's both informative and entertaining - couldn't ask for more. great vid yo

the railgun playing well in unsafe mode feels so good now. Now i feel like I have many ways to play rather than feeling like everything that was fun was nerfed. I can go flame (unless that fire nerf effects us too? and the dot bug fixes hopefully), Quasar, or railgun, or anything in between.
I hope you're playing solo. Fire DoT is still bugged and not working if you're not the NETWORK host. If you're not host, fire damage is still so bad it's not worth using. If you are the host, you will roast everything easily and die instantly if you're ever set on fire. You don't even have time to dive and stim.
@@Spectacular_Insanity yeah, generally if I want to firedamage with my buds, Ill host or one of them will if they want to roll firebat builds. I just saw they haven't fixed the DoT damage bug. At least with the railgun its some variety. Its the DRG mentality for me, just make guns FUN, and the overall game will be great for it.
@@Spectacular_Insanity brother, if youre like the people i see all the time that REFUSE to dive when on fire, and this time i saw a dude standing for 3 whole seconds burning alive and not doing anything about it, then its your fault.
Even before the nerf it was easy to react to and just dive, now that its even easier i still see people burning and not diving its baffling.
Fire is still good as it can kill every bug up to chargers, the DoT nerf is actually a buff because before it took 4 ticks to die, now it's 7.
@@KimchiKommandernetwork host and ship host are different. Fire DoT is primarily solo play, unless you feel like gambling every match haha
Hope to see your opinion bout the Blitzer soon, it became quite the capable weapon vs bugs, no need for sights aim, just walk turn camera and shoot, it got quality of life stagger against spewers and stalkers and also one tap potential against broods (when close),
When compared to the Incendiary Breaker i feel like im exchanging the breakers long range and high fire rate for the Blitzers stagger and zero reload animations, also having infinite ammo helps quite a bit in multiplayer when everyone is competing for supply packs after the ammo nerfs.
I tried it with railgun and felt i had a decent matchup against bug units, instead of going for the triple headshot on the charger im going for double tap on the leg for armor removal then finishing it imediatelly with a single shot from the grenade pistol.
Also tried my hand vs fliers and it does insta kill them easily when they enter its zap range but i still took damage as their corpses grazed my character.

I’ve played around with the Railgun a bit today. It’s definitely quicker to kill Chargers now, but since they also took the stagger away I think they could have given it a little more oomph.
This damn loadout got me a James Bond style jumpscare!
Folks not used to Railgun being able to finish off Bile Titans again, so I've done both the EAT hits and running towards extract with the BT chasing, turn, charge Railgun, dive backwards to look cool as I fire.
Teammate sees it coming and throws an Orbital Railcannon at it. I blow its head off. Railcannon targets the next biggest thing: a Wilbur scampering up to nibble my toes as I'm lying on my back.
I get this massive laser come swooping up between my legs for a couple of seconds, before a magnetically propelled slug from space vaporises the bug right there. Just as well it has zero splash damage!
glad they added this mission, i had originally missed them while climbing difficulties, though i thought they’d make it a minor objective but this is cool too
How is the new Senator? I think i'd go pretty well now with the Ballistic Shield with it's Med Pen, maybe Eruptor for closing holes/fabs.
I've been using the Eruptor and Senator combo few the last few missions and it feels fantastic.
Eruptor is very effective against spewers, decent against medium enemies, nice for clearing grouped up enemies, and completes objectives. Senator is great for cleaning up stragglers, close range, or any enemy that dies in a single headshot.
The two weapons make up for each others weaknesses well.

Unrelated question, but what helmet are you using in the video?
The ready up delay seems to be waiting for everyone to salute rather than just clicking the button. If you're allowed to unready in that time, it could be nice for those moments where you realize a second too late that you forgot to swap off of a trash weapon/armor that you were testing out.

Railgun feels really good against chargers. Didn't do much against bile titans, but I can rely on my 500kg.
I usually go for the leg because just two shots.

If I take the expendable anti tank launcher can I just throw them randomly every 60 seconds and they'll stay there? Or will they despawn after a while?
It stay where you drop them. And yes, people litter the map with EATs lol
@@HydrengeaEdelweiss 10 minutes = 20 EATs on the map (assuming perfect timing), no despawn!? I want to do this if true.
Expendable EAT is goated on high diff. Always great and they stay the whole match. Gotta Always be thinking ahead
Honestly I think railgun will be better than it was before. Considering we could not penetrate the chargers head before.
Titans going to take probably about the same as it used to minus the bug the titans had giveing inconsistencies but you still might want to throw on supply pack if your going to blow through ammo that way.

I had a couple times where I charged it up high enough (I was probably about to blow myself up) that it would only take two shots to the head for a charger.
Could the "collar on hunters" actually be the new headshot protection of medium and heavy armor? At least in part, they do feel a bit less aggressive too. That's weird because it was not mentioned in the patch notes.

i used the flame thrower when they reduce the fire damage. It does affect our damage, but charger are still melted

i was playing earlier today and i dont know what you're talking about when you mention the inability to ping on the map, i think that might be a bug on your side as it still seems to work, i can still tag nests and secondary objectives on the minimap

Idk, that leads me to believe that they're bugged because I got several missions where they all jumped continuously after me and never paused. Also a couple of times had patrols that never lost track of me no matter how far away I got-- they just maintained their top speeds while very clearly running on a basic intercept pathing. Like their trajectories were synced tracking with my every movement, even when far enough away they were showing up just on the edge of the map.
Also, I'm getting stuck prone or getting ragdolled when diving frequently. Any time bugs reach me if I'm on the ground there's like a 50% chance the game won't let me ever stand again regardless of inputs.
If you try to run while crouching, you stand up. But if you're being slowed then it doesn't let you stand up.
@@ghoulbuster1 no disrespect, just I've been playing 160 hours and never had any problems hopping up from prone. Tapping jump makes you stand the quickest (you must know because idk how you'd survive without knowing). If I was getting hit by bugs, I could at least dive away and try to chain dive to a position I could shoot or stand and run from. Now, if a bug is touching me when I'm down it's pretty much all over, which is pretty dumb imo.

Always unsafe, you don't need much charge now so just hold it for a second and a half
That’s a good question about our fire damage and does the ship upgrade just bring the damage back up to where is was before the nerf without the upgrade at least for the stratagems
Fire damage was increased back in another patch before too
so you're supposed to hit for the faceplate to kill a charger? I thought the mouth might have been more vulnerable... was wondering why I couldn't kill them

Played this mission, my loadout was Precision, KG and Spear.
Spear was ok against the Titans (one shot to weaken), and ok against chargers (it made chargers bleed with armor exposed).
Little did I knew I could lock on to... Shriekers. Yes. What a joke! Yet I opened fire on one of the Shriekers. It killed another 4 flying right next to it.
So turns out, we never needed Airburst in the first place. Spear is your next AA gem. But shuhs... don't tell this to everyone, otherwise devs might nerf it.
"Pro" tip: you can also initiate the lock on process while reloading, and fire instantly after it reloads.
There is definitely a game performance issue when it comes to stability my computer cannot run it now. I’m waiting for the next update

It doesn't work with scout bonus either and didn't require it before

Railgun is pretty decent now at 3hkoing chargers. Though just having a fast medium sweeper like AMR is probably better to use as primary medium clear, while using dedicated heavy stratagems when necessary for heavy counter. Mediums TTK are fast on railgun, but definitely not as fast as AMR since multiple can be easily killed in one clip

you should give the airbust launcher a shot after the fix if you haven't already. Its actually pretty solid for crowd clear, although probably still a mid support weapon overall since you need to rely on EATS or a teammate for chargers/titans.

I don't know if you know this but it's much better to hit the leg of a charger to take his armor
I don't play this game, but if dev team removes option to ping secondary objectives they should make radar station objective always visible to mark other objectives. Send this idea to devs.

Kinda wish the railgun shots would blow bigger holes on bug armor. Something like a Quasar basically strips an entire charger leg of armor, so you can easily finish them off with other weapons. But its definitely nice that it can penetrate the armor at all, even in safe mode.
I love the reverse quality of life vuff where they removed useful things like being able to dhoot spore spewers ans being able to ping minimap locations.
Did they fix the grenade pistol coming with a double shot?
Ran the diligence counter sniper earlier and it felt pretty solid. Same with the Liberator you should give em a shot 💪🏼

I unlocked railgun today after finally reaching level 20 and I gotta say, it feels really good! I have 0 experience with the nerfed and pre nerfed versions but I like it a lot

Ok is it just me or does the gas strike not land where the marker is? I've been using it for 3 or 4 days and it always seems to miss the mark by like 10-15 meters every time
