concider me an eagerly awaiting customer this game has everything i want in a space RTS ive wish listed it on steam but sadly can not crowd fund due to well things being tight thats said keep doing the ungodly awesome :) one final thing will it be mod compatible?
We believe in indie developers to make the games we want to have fun playing. All the big companies are wasting their talent in making games no one wants.
I know I keep repeating myself, but the physics engine looks and feels impeccable. Finally, after 25 years we get to see something that's actually a definitive upgrade over Homeworld 1 in terms of physics (the sequels and the remaster being quite the opposite, Homeworld 2 being the worst offender because RNG takes control away from the player). Love that missing shot + accidental friendly fire at 8:12 btw.

Good to see things from Terra Invicta becoming the standard in space games, as in even the largest ships are capable of performing a tail slide as the physics of space is different from one in atmosphere.

@@perafilozof I´m currently replaying Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption, but i also enjoyed Homeworld, especially Cataclysm, as well as Master of Orion, both the old ones as well as the remake from Wargaming. Plus i play Sins of a Solar Empire with a friend.

Nice overview for a game I haven't heard of. I used to enjoy this rough genre. Homeworld, SIns1, Sword of the Stars, Star Wolves, Stellaris, etc. At this point I was an Honorverse space game. Glad to see ships of the wall here, hah. I'll keep an eye out for this one.
Oh man, you know of Star Wolfs! I must have replayed the first game 5 times over. Too bad the 2nd and 3rd weren't as good. Also, you should watch my channel more, as I find and showcase such games all the time

@@Silverwolfe3198 Oh I see. But laptops are an expensive and not a very efficient way to play PC games. But if you will also use it for other stuff, then I understand.
@@perafilozof it will also be used for work and travel. I also don’t know if I can justify having a full PC setup for where I’m living at the moment. I also don’t plan on playing super-performance intensive games. I’m perfectly okay with capping my fps and lowering my graphics below default if I run into troubles.
Wish they would have more than just "bombing" the planet. Would be nice to have some depth to planet conquest beyond just nuking them from orbit. I get it, t's the only way to make sure, but it'd be nice to have a ground combat mode, too.
Hi, one of the stretch goals of the crowdfunding campaign is boarding enemy ships, so it could probably be adapted to planet invasions. Great idea in any case. Than you for sharing it!
Hi! The idea is to have ground combat too. Not a separate game mode, but modules for ships that carry troops and can try to conquer a planet over multiple turns.

You know, most developers here in the USA get paid 100k / year, or more even in some states. So effectively, the developer is only asking for one year's worth of wages to make this entire game with ALL the features in his stretch goals. That's hella impressive! Had to be said. Until Rome 2 they were one of my favorites. But since then most old staff don't seem to work there and under SEGA things have been going downhill a long time.

And recently I wishlisted games like starhome and Emphemeris after watching your last video ( not sure last video or before that, I am not the sharphest when it comes to remembering things ☠️ ).
Sounds a lot like Sword of the Stars, kind of total war meets homeworld. First game is gold, but the sequel was a buggy dumpster fire on release, devs kept trying to add more without fixing what they already had, and didn't take well to the justifiable criticism on release.

Watching the gameplay footage makes me wonder if we'll get to see planets and stations be part of the battle maps, that way the defender can rush their garrison and in-production ships into battle while the invader tries to rush their siege ships to low orbit and get a bombardment bonus after winning.

Well a lot of work. Still some one would make some co-op or multiplayer for custom ship for testing see how combat works. It remind of the old game that shutdown do to game balance weapons...
@@perafilozof Well it depends. I wish there are many game modes for fun to enjoy. But the races will be challenging. For weapons type would be hard to balance. For machine, bio, magic and so on for fun to test.

@@perafilozof Honestly a lot of problems seems to be coming from Sega. And I'm still pissed that Hyenas and poor decisions might have cut support for WH3. Though now they picked Alien again which I hope will turn out OK (and won't steal funds from WH3 war chest). When it come to TW I started with Medi 2 which is like mythical, unreachable unicorn in eyes of the fanbase. Personally I like WH trilogy the most, the diversity of fantasy setting simply can't be beat by history. When it comes to historical entries it's Fall of the Samurai. I yearn for a great blackpowder game (even in WH Vampire Coast is my fav) and FotS is the best fix on the market. Unfortunately it's basically a Saga title which means the diversity of factions is even lower than in normal historical TW.
@@Wafelkowiec I blame SEGA too, and have for a long time. But people who left from the developer, left their legacy and name behind but non of the talent or backbones. So the publisher roles them around and keepa pushing for the wrong things. My personal favorite is Shogun 2 and I consider it the pinnacle of CA and the last game they made with heart.

Ships move like in the expanse Ships proceed to crash and explode refuses to elaborate Looks silly TBH, space combat seems chaotic and impossible to follow and control once shooting starts, even the biggest ships move like they are F1 cars out of control. Combat needs a lot of polishing to even get close to Homeworld, which is not great to be generous
Hi, this is exactly why I showed all the goofy moves these ships have made in my playthrough and why I added that alpha version text at the top of the screen. It is definitely not an easy system to implement, especially since this kind of combat should be happening at ranges of hundreds if not thousands of kilometers since space is so big and so are these ships.
