Probably one of the best rythm sections in the world.

Two of these cats, namely Kenny Drew and Niels Henning Oersted Pedersen, I have heard/seen in CPH in the early 60's. GREAT

The upright bass sounds like an electric fretless! Wow..

Playing like an electric too, looking at him you'd think it's no harder to play when it most certainly is!

Man... he is one of the most competent bass players of the time !!! Often you will find his long name abbreviated in NHOP ... NIels Henning Oersted Pedersen... all his production is a guarantee of quality.

Alvin Queen's calipso-bossanova rhythm starting at 1:45 is so good that if Kenny Drew played just about anything it would still sound cool. I wish Alvin kept that rhythm all the time but he shifts to bop at 2:15.

    最初「前衛的な事もやってたんだ」と思ったら、いつものケニーさんでした。分かりやすく、楽しく、陽気で、それでいて素晴らしい演奏です! 私、ケニーさんは毎日聴かないと元気が出ないタイプです。
