I found this extremely helpful, especially knowing the (rough) timeline for each of these steps.

3. Write the hook( which is usually the lead - in to your sales message)
4. Finalize the offer.
5. Write the first draft
6. Copy editing
7. Write the second draft

Hey Alex, thanks for the shoutout here and on your email list! I was laughing to myself about how you explained the doc for all your research should have a bunch of quotes and text pulled from different resources. Sometimes I think I overdo it though and spend wayyy too much time researching than actually writing. After research, my doc looks like an insane mess, but I feel like that's the only way to get comfortable with what you're writing about.

As far as niching goes (I just finished watching your video on getting your first clients), can I niche/specialize in long-form Sales Letters (as opposed to niching within an industry)?
I am assuming that it is probably best to niche within an industry, because if I think about somebody looking for a copywriter they would probably first type into google, if they worked at a wealth management firm for instance, "financial copywriter".
I feel like that's what they would type into google before they typed in "sales letter copywriter" (if they were a wealth management firm looking for a sales letter)? Although does it really matter what they might type in? Most of my efforts will be outbound, reaching out through emails and such.
I feel like if I specialized in sales letters, it could potentially put a client at ease, though. Just seeing my website and seeing pages and pages of sales letters, and that being my specialty.
I like the idea of specializing within sales letters and keeping my industry open, because i want to work with new clients, new industries, new products and services!
Do you think this is doable?

I have a question about writing the statement of work for a sales page project: would you list the individual steps in this video as deliverables, quote the prices individually (like the price for a first draft, second draft, revision etc.) or would you just quote one total price for the sales page?
I would break it down by asset to help to client see the big picture (and see where their money is going).
Can you send link to read more about the outline creation of a sales page.

I'm assuming the hooks you are referring to in this video are the same element you have discussed in one of your later videos by the name of Headlines. To my bewilderment, which set of instructions should I implement in my copy.

After completing a course on basics of copywriting, I was going to write my 1st sales letter, that's what they said to do next.
Like I said, I only knew some basics like, about AIDA & PAS & on how to write headlines etc.
But when I searched on internet, in most of the videos, I found that, a sales letter should be written in a specific template, like you just have showed in this video.
But, After watching near about 40 videos & reading few articles, I still didn't get an better idea, on how to get started with it, until I found this video.
After watching this, I got some clarity. I made some notes on it, started writing according to this & Yesterday I completed my 2nd draft in 8 or 10 hours.
Isn't, it amazing that, I have completed my first sales letter.

Well you don’t create the niche. You find clients in that niche and you write for them. You need to determine demand and market need, and go after those clients.

By this i mean what way we should practice while writing the others copy as practice!
As should we just wrote it as simple it is or what way plz can you tell about it?
There's lot of options. You could find swipe files and then "fill them in" for a random product you find on the internet. Or make up a product and write copy for it from scratch. Or re-write Sales Pages, Ads, or emails that you see on the internet.

A sales page is is a broader term and just means a “sales page”. A sales letter refers to a longer sales page in written format.

How do you or your client know if your sales letter performs well when there are no previous sales records?
I'm having a hard time to justify the performance of my copy as ads and Landing page also include other sales elements such as VSL and graphics. Especially on facebook ads where people tend to watch video ad rather than read copy (my assumption).
Well your clients should have a target or goal in mind, so that's what you would base off of. Other than that you don't really have anything to compare to, so this will be your baseline!

I’m a Brazilian writer and I’ve been follow this steps to write in Portuguese. Now, I want to learn how write in English. Your grammars rules are kind of insane. Do you use any grammar book ou writing guide? If you use, can you share the author and book?
