Finally one of a select few pointing out the "locked punch" training nonsense. Circling around beating up the arm.
My favorite style !! 🤗❤
Jay what's the intention and/or purpose of the "lock"?
It's a "finish" - it shuts the counter line down and finishes with would normally be a knife in the hand
I describe it as "serrada means you close....and if you close it, lock it permanently"
Solo baston looks a little unusual, but when it is espada y daga it makes more sense
@@HAVOCJKD thank you
Nice work
your sticks are seemingly very short, am I right?
Shorter than the "typical" stick yes - as a rough guide its armpit to wrist.
The shorter stick allows for full deployment of the weapon length at all times - thanks for watching!
You have to tell them its Abanico
Ok we will.
We know, it's just this intro vid is intended to be as jargon free as possible- abanico, Florette, sunkete, redonda are all terms that sound confusing to non players- by avoiding them it makes it accessible.
Thanks for watching
