the twirling strikes are called abaniko or pitik, it is used in corto (close/short range) and medya/mid range. thehorizontal strike is called banda y banda .
As Kali, Escrima and Arnis Instructor (3rd degre)here i. Phiippines, i couldld tell that guy is a legit, i can see that his techniques is a combination of balintawak, arnis de querdas and abaniko style.. maybe he is from 7 pares or dose pares club. He also use rompida strike.
Never knew there is Filipinoese or what not just Indianese and large Military ships from them. That's all we get to know.
You guys rock. Been training diligently in FMA for about a year out here in AZ with a wonderful instructor. Yet everyday i feel like a toddler learning something new. Lol i love it.
I watched one of your videos, got a stick and a tire and started hitting it. It's hard work and is going to take a while before my body will be able to truly get a work out from it but it will make me hard. I've done nothing for too long. Thank you for the inspiration ❤
Freaking awesome demo, love it, so proud to be a Filipino who practices Filipino Martial Arts!🇵🇭👊
those wrist movements are also used to mask your stick's trajectory. because you usually look at the oponent's face, weapon and arm so you wont notice these small changes if you are not aware of the technique. We use it a lot on balintawak arnis.
When I was in middle school university in Cebu City, we have a basic class martial arts, BALINTAWAK Arnis. 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

Master... 🙂
🙏🙏👍
I respect the master on his arnis skills. I am a Filipino but I could not understand his Filipino accent. 😢
Wow now
Красавец!
What location is that? It looks like a beautiful environment.
*_It makes me think of the base of one of the Pyramids in Mexico! I'm sure it's probably some open, public place in Calgary, of course. But that's still what my imagination thinks of!_*
*_Lolz!_*
🙂
It is mix with boxing, it is similar to my style.
He spins his hips the opposite way you do (both work) 2:14
Good observation.
So what’s the difference between escrima and kali? Cause I always thought they were the same
I remember the legend Cacoy Canette

Can you mention size of stick please..
Where can I purchase practice sticks or real ones?
There are some in Amazon but the real ones are made out of Rattan.
Cebuanos are really good in English. Cause their second language is English not Tagalog. But anyways, that was great Master
🙏
actually....third....Visaya is their language also.......at one point, Filipino's had to know 4....their tribe, Tagalog which was the language for business when dealing with Manila, Spanish and English(colonizer languages)....my Grandfather was alive for the Spanish American/Filipino American War.
@@fishonado too much drama..YOU HATE CEBUANOS..YOU BETTER DRINK TUBA AND SLEEP!

Oops hit the button.
The practice sticks used are very light weight, what are the traditioal ones used for actual combat made from?
Rattan wood.
Kamagong
A machete
When a guy is charging on you its hard i train with dual metal pipes that are 1.5 kg i wonder when will i get this fast
KALI
Masters 200/3""to you mister pro"""
.
Balintawak style.hehe
the arts of the Visayas and Samar.
why mentioning samar, is samar not in visayas or YOU HATE OR ENVY TO HIM BECAUSE HE IS A CEBUANO AND YOU HATE TO MENTION CEBU!
I hope this is not a foolish question, but
Yes that's correct Kali is Martial Art of Allah-Tara whomever, and Arnis is MAP by Jesus-Rama. Kali is Filiponese so racist to Bhutan netizen.
Hola felix member me i love u spar me
Great, but, even tho you're a yank, maybe show some respect and don't pet the Grandmaster or point your stick at him.
Respect is sshown different in different cultures, he wasnt disrespectful, he just showed it in other way
🤣 'even tho you're a moreon, maybe show some respect and don't make so stubid comments.'
We know quite well what Bhuulokee practices, Machete and more machete, well well. So let's get to bottom of Native Traditional and find their weakness, cons, and falsehoods if they are there. Well, they have to be there if they are there. NO?
Large collection of Slurpy and 7-11 there I heard at least.
Never have I seen this used in a bonafide street fight. C'mon who has ever witnessed a damn stick fight in the middle of the street ?
the limitation of this art is your mind. If you limit yourself thinking where you can find blunt object in streets then you will get beaten.
Maybe not in the US where everyone tries to box and fail to take the advantage of using other martial arts.
Lol grab anything that resembles a stick in the streets. Bat, pipe etc.
just show ... a billion moves and not one solid hit 👊🏻
That's because it's a demonstration, not a sparring match.
Because they're not fighting, they're training, with weapons.
it's not about sparring or bc their training .He just throws and twirls the stick without any structure. There is not on solid hit...
Potete far vedere un tutorial con i disarmi più utili e concreti e come fare la sumbrada? Nonn riesco a trovare un video dimostrativo che me lo insegna.
