I've been in the automotive field and cars since I was 14. I use to drag race and circle track race and was into different things until about 5-6 yrs ago. Since getting into the offroad side of things I've met more of the coolest and best people. The way I've seen Chris, You, Walt, and many others act just shows why this sector of the industry as a whole has the best people in the entire industry.
I'm proud of you 🤙🏼 Awesome wheeler and on your way to becoming an awesome fabricator with the help of awesome friends 😊🤙🏼 GOD Bless your newfound gift 🙏🏼
While you were notching that tube, you eyes and mouth gave it all away. I will apologize before I say it......I'm sorry Hollie.......I started snickering 😆😆 Of course I have NO room to snicker or laugh because I could NOT so any of the things you are doing on Nessie. Cheers and have an awesome day.
Hello Hollie, Walter & Chris! Boy, it’s getting exciting to see the build thru different stages! BIG 👏👏👏 to Chris! He’s a fine addition to the team Nessie!👍👌 On a funny note, Chris could be the offspring of Carl Fredricksen from Disney movie, Up!🧐😱🤣😂 Just kidding🤗🤙
I really look forward to when it’s sitting on its own weight under the coilovers and bypasses. That’ll be a big jump towards it looking like it’s more complete.
Your and Chris' precision is right on point with those pipes. Paul on fabrats talks about being able to weld your gaps if your lousy at cutting your angles and that does not apply here, it looks great.
Im happy for you, not only that you are one of the few girls that has the guts to fabricate and work on your own jeep. Yes there are gilrs doing you tube videos and they think they know everything but they not. Keep learning keep making mistakes the more mistakes you do the more you learn! 👉❤️ i love the videos and how you explain everithing!
Brilliant job👌🏻but here's my one opinion on this episode. There's always an opinion😆 The lower spare tyre bar I would have had it at 90⁰ to the face of the tyre. It would give you more rear end clearance. Maybe only about 50-100mm but still extra room that's not going to hook up. 👍🏻
Now that you got Kris with you...Can you ask him when we're going to get another Trail To SEMA??? Best crawling series ever with the Ultimate RUclipsr All-Star cast.
You iknow who else will be dead proud of you when he gets wind of your tube fabbing skills? Your mate Ian Johnson from big tire garage. He gives lectures on roll cage design and fabrication for ESAB. Or at least he gave one for ESAB at the 2018 fabtech convention. I am pretty sure he would approve. Im proud of you too but I dont reallty pull any weight in the Jeep fabrication community :)
Thank you for the support. I was chatting with Ian the other day. When we chose ESAB as the welding/cutting/fabrication brand to outfit the entire ship with, it was largely based on the amazing experience we had with ESAB at his shop during the giveaway Jeep build. We’re planning on doing a few Zoom welding lessons soon 😊
Seeing as there is much focus on lifting the spare wheel, how about making a pivoting cradle that swings up and down to load and unload the wheel ? It would also be part of the holding in place mechanism. Hope this would make sense? Cheers
Totally makes sense, but the tire carrier is also serving as a rear bumper and will take several hits from rocks and other possibly vehicles. We thought it might be best to avoid having a hinge in such a high risk area where, if it were to get tweaked OR fail, it could cause additional issues. 😀👍🏻
Simple math works for almost every time I studied all the way to algebra 3 till this day I have not used algebra at all great video keep up the good work God bless from GA and stay safe and happy holidays
Hiya Hollie, What is the plan between the bottom back of the fenders to add structure back to the tub? Yes, You did a great job today and learning a new skill is a great thisg.
Good question, Rudy whipped up some body mounts for the rear yesterday and those will help secure the rear corner. In addition, we will be adding 3/16 aluminum corner armor that will both help to strengthen that part of the tub and relocate the wheel well. That said, the tub is no longer a structural part of the vehicle. It is there to preserve the look of the original vehicle and that’s about it.
Nice work! Most people don’t get the thrill of building your own stuff. I’m glad Chris is showing you proper techniques. It should speed up the build. Is the hole saw getting worn? A new one will cut faster and easier. Also marking your cuts with tape or paint pen will reduce the mental load and stress. Less second guessing.
Looks like your going to need to buy yourself a tubing bender and notcher for your shop since your getting good at it. It will come in handy in the future for future builds aswell.
Lol sweetness I dont know of anyone one who hasn't needed to make those apologies. Myself I loved math and spent many summers working on it as a wee laddy but never evolved into the depths of the alphabet being interjected into the standard math but one day quite by accident I discovered I'd been doing algebra and trigonometry. Yes somehow it filtered in possably via osmosis or some means of that I can not fathom. But good save on the coping I see it look a bit fudged but you caught it and corrected it.
Awesome progress. I'm happy to see you getting hands on with some good instructions. What are you doing overhead? Single center fore/aft bar? I Rx that, plus a diagonal over driver and diagonal over codriver. I've seen a couple broken backs from roof penetration in roll overs.
Remember, it's only a mistake if we don't learn from it. You were able to save the tube so it wasn't really a mistake it was just a lesson to pay more attention next time. 🤔 Anyway, math are hard. Most people are more gooder at English in school.
Good question!! A company called PRP makes a tool storage bag that goes in the opening and is held in place by the same Y strap that holds the tire down. It’s a pretty awesome (and secure way to use space). 😊👍🏻
I would love to do all of that but since I make daily video-ms and normally have a whole day of build footage to go through it takes me 3-6 hours to edit. I’m at the shop 6:30-7am and don’t get home until around 1am
Probably 6 months is enough for anyone working nights and weekends. I think anyone who is willing to work 12hr days 6 days a week could do it in just a few short months.

Holly your hands on the build with Chris guiding and teaching. I am so impressed and looking forward to seeing the finished product.
From an opera singer to a mechanic and fabricator with the skills to excel at all three. Nessie will be proud to do your bidding.
Really really coming along!! I think Chris is so awesome for passing on his knowledge like that…..now you get to pay it forward 👍🏻😀

I love watching you learn Fab skills and this Jeep coming together. I’ve been doing this a long time and still find joy doing custom fab work.
Looking awesome 🎉🎉❤❤❤
Looking great y’all!
Awesome job Hollie
Can't wait to see it when it is completed. You are doing great.
Good to see you gaining confidence in your efforts. That door and tire carrier look great.

The Jeep is coming together nicely.
I'm so so cheering for you and Chris .My hope is that you guy on race day go and kick some butt . Great video as always 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Have you ever thought of using cutting oil when using the hole saw??? It may help the bits last longer and cut faster. Just a thought

Great job Holly and yes I have to admit screw up's we're humans bound goof one way or another. You going paint rollbars blue 💙
Great to see your growth as a builder. Love these daily clips, too.
👍👍
When it comes to constructing anything, give yourself twice the time that you think it will take. Your making good progress so don’t get discouraged.
You need a small sealed quantity of the water from Loch Ness to mount on your dash for luck.
This is happening. I’ll be making a trip at some point next year to Aberdeen and we will head north for some! Great suggestion 😀🤘🏻
Off topic, we are thinking of taking a 10 day self drive tour of Scotland this year, what would you say are some must see places....
👍❤️
YOu need to use some cutting oil when notching your tubes it make it easier cutting

Coping is tough. My therapist is always trying to get me to work on my skills.
Great job Hollie. Chris is an absolute natural at this. I have more trouble brewing coffee, than he has building a race Jeep.😂
Really getting into the groove on this jeep build, it's coming together very well, will be driving it soon
You should be using cutting fluid it'll make your hole saw last a lot longer
I absolutely do my 😊 is there a specific one you like to use?
WD40 works good but if you have it rap a tap
