I was standing outside the gates and all of a sudden the gates opened and the Clydesdale horses came thundering right past me. I could feel the ground shake under my feet. Awesome!

Draft horses are surprisingly smooth to ride. I had a 17.2 hand Belgian and she was precisely that. Absolutely the smoothest trot. Effortless to sit to. Her other attribute was she was off the charts intelligent. Freakishly so. What a character.

I was raised on a farm in Maine My Dad worked in the woods with draft horses . I enjoyed Riding & Grooming them growing up. They are Truly Gentle Giants Loving Caring very Attentive, very Intelligent .So enjoy All Horses but Clydesdales are the Best all around Horse. They rise to the occasion & do whatever is expected of them with Pride. A Most Beautiful Calm & Peaceful yet very hard workers. Someone once told me you can't ride a work horse, I quickly told them they were too late ,the first horse I ever rode was my Dad's Work horses. They are Gentle Giants. I was about 5 or 6 years old at that time. I have Loved Horses ever since. I am now 73 I Loved my Arabian for many years divorce forced me to sell him , I will own another someday but Berriah Vashti " Whom God has Created Beautiful " was he name .Bought him at 4 months old had to sell him at 13 years old . I love Clydesdale Horses. I'll never forget when they were brought to NYC after the 911 attack and bowed their heads and kneeled on a knee. I still cry when I see that when they play back moments following 911 😭🧡

My dad sometimes works at a Clydesdale farm with 10 or 11 clydesdales, and they are massive! One of them came right up to me while in his stall and let me pat him. Let me just say he was really sweet!
I worked at a horse ranch that gave lessons to mentally and physically disabled children. We took in basically any unwanted horses, and so most of them were kind of rejects.😅 but there was this one horse there he was a Part Clydesdale. He was the biggest animal I’ve ever seen in my life. He was gorgeous white with gray spackling so sweet. A lot of the other horses gave me a hard time, but not him such a gentle giant. I don’t work with horses anymore, but I still smile anytime someone mentions Clydesdale because I think of that horse.

My grandfather loved them endlessly, sadly they and his farm was sold due to economic trends! Yes, he was a decendent of Scots in Tasmania, always true to tradition! ❤️

The Clydesdales and the Gypsy Horses are my favorite. Mostly because of their statuesque tall muscular beautiful body and that long flowing hair. If somebody heard you describe them they would swear you're talkin about one beautiful man who has a very solid frame, LOL!
