      I can tell you for sure that you are not a burden to your family, bc if the roles were reversed with any one of them, you would want them to know that you love them and want them to rely on you in tough times. I know it's tough to not feel that way, but it's important to remember that this is something that happened to you and not something you decided to bring upon yourself, so there's no point in feeling guilty or like a burden! sending you lot of love too, we'll be healthy soon enough.❤️

      It is hard on caregivers and loved ones and I know what you mean. I hate it when I feel terrible at family functions. I feel like it brings the mood down. But your people care about you and it's the cancer that they don't like, it's not you. You're a very important part of your family and they worry about you, that's all. It never bothered me if they wanted to have fun. It's perfectly fine. You just keep fighting and focus on you. It's ok to be selfish (not saying you are) during your treatments and hopefully recovery. Your focus needs to be you. So don't you worry about that. What kind of cancer do you have? This just showed up in my recommended videos, I’m 25 and I’ve had Hodgkin’s lymphoma twice. I am sending you so much love, always advocate for yourself and don’t be afraid to ask for pain relief. If you have to get another bone marrow biopsy, try and see if your doctors will put you out. I want you to know that there are people in this world who appreciate your bright individuality, you are valued and we all hope that you can get through these hard times. You also inspire me to not dwell in self-pity. Thank you so much for all you do, and if you decide to take a break from making videos to focus on your healing process - feel free to do so! Saying "I'm sorry" doesn't feel enough, but I really am sorry, Lisa.
    Just a tip for when chemo starts (from family experience, I'm by no means a doctor): nutrition is fundamental! So try having smaller meals every few hours instead of the 3 average meals a day; you'll also probably need more protein than you do now, to help your immune system and everything else.
    A little side note: you look lovely with this haircut 💗
    Wishing you a calm and speedy process of recovery!

      @LisaFevral  2 года назад +44

      thank you so so much, Luiza! Yeah I've been hearing that smaller meals will go a lot better than big ones, especially with all the side effects, so I should think about that beforehand to plan it out.

      @@LisaFevral Nursing student here! We've seen that with chemo you might also find strong smells (for example the smell of fish, some veggies like cauliflower, etc.) to make you feel nauseated, as many people find their sensitivity to certain smells to be increased. You might want to avoid such products or avoid the kitchen while food is being cooked altogether in order to keep you from turning away from food. Cold foods also have little smell, as opposed to warm ones.
      I am so sorry that this is happening to you, please keep your head up straight! A positive outlook really does make an impact on the course of the illness.

    My coworker had breast cancer at age 27 after already being a kidney cancer survivor which she had at age 6. She beat both. She says the best things that helped her was dark humor and meeting others who were either getting treatment now or in remission. Be kind to yourself on this journey and try different coping mechanisms to find what works best for you.
    Also to help with the unfamiliarity of hospital settings, pack a backpack with personal items like your own blankie, stuffed animals, pillows, dress comfy, bring a photo to set on the table if you're going to be there a longer time, and bring an activity of some kind.

    It sounds like they caught it fairly early. So that's really good. I've had lots of different chemotherapies and immunotherapies. Some are worse than others. In my experience daily pill chemotherapies are worse than any of the infusions I had. I'm still currently taking zelboraf pills daily for the past 3 years and it sucks. You can feel every single bone and joint in your body because it makes all of them hurt. Doesn't really make me sick or tired just pain. Not to mention that it's $12,000 a month. Luckily I was approved for the last 3 years for free meds. But as much as I hate it, the cancer hates it too. Everybody is different but I think you'll be ok. Hang in there young lady. Hope is a powerful thing.

    I'm so sorry to hear this news and everything you've had to go through to get a diagnosis, but I hope you know how strong you're being, not despite being scared of what could be and/or the medical exams, but because you went through with everything and are holding on and that takes a lot of courage and resilience. Don't worry about being slower posting content, do it at whatever pace you feel comfortable with, even before all this making videos was supposed to be something you enjoy and have fun doing, something for you as much as it was for us, so I hope it continues that way. I haven't been following your channel for long but we can always go back to our favorite content meanwhile you post something new, I know I certainly will, so go at your own pace and take your time, to post, to heal, to do whatever you need to. I'm glad that you have a good prognosis and a treatment plan already, and also that you have a good support system surrounding you. Even if it's hard I hope it'll be uphill from now on, one step at a time but towards recovery and wellness. Sending you a warm hug and positive energy 🌻✨

    I am just seeing your video now 5 months after you made it. I wish I had something great to say, but Cancer sucks! I do have a close friend who was diagnosed with non hodgkin's lymphoma right after we graduated from college. He also did not have any history of cancer in his family besides some skin cancer his grandma had to have removed from the side of her face. I am now 53 years old, and he is 55. I am happy to say he has had no positive scans and has been in remission almost 30 years. I wish you all the luck and strength in the world. Some people handle chemo better than others and I pray that you have the least amount of terrible side effects possible. I hope after all of this you will be free of cancer. I am sending all the positive vibes through the internet that I can. Wishing you the best, Jonathan

    i can only begin to imagine how difficult these past months have been for you, first not knowing what's wrong and why you felt so tired and had so many odd things happening to your body. i can imagine there was some sort of relief in knowing what's wrong now and that there is a treatment for it, but also knowing you have cancer has to be one of the most devasting diagnoses out there. i don't really know where I'm going with this, but I just wanted you to know that even though we look like little pixels on a screen, all the people here under this comment section are with you in this, I wish a speedy recovery and a successful outcome out of this; life is so difficult as is and it's about to get more diffulct for you, but there's still so much ahead of you, and I would love to see more of your ideas even through this screen. take it easy, and don't pressure yourself too much to continue posting if you're not feeling like it 💗

Wish you to overcome this tough challenge cause being healthy and full of energy again, having hair and every single morning without goddamn blood tests are worth waiting. One day you will just wake up as healthy person and live a normal life.
