    A few years ago I wrote to the Harbour Authority to ask if the red-and-white stripes on the lighthouse could be made vertical to match the SAFC strip. To be fair, they were good enough to reply to say that it wasn't possible due to navigational standards etc.

    its a shame you cant get in to the old dock . where the 2 old piers are that will be some history

      I know! I've always wanted to see the old customs house too which is owned by the port of Sunderland, so much history down there!
