- Tristan and Jeandre (on camera) encountered this beautiful garden orb spider (different to the golden orb spider) keeping vigil in her spectacular, sprawling web for unsuspecting prey this morning. Her wait paid off as two flies got stuck in the sticky netting, and soon became her large breakfast.

Drop jaw amazing. If you came a cross a creature like this for the very first time, you wouldn't expect them to be able to do the breathtaking things they do. No wonder Spiders make their way into so many myths and stories across the world. Even into calling our internet "the World Wide Web" 💚🕸🐾
I read this comment as my mouth was hanging open haha. It really is wild.
doing gods work
I find these small creatures, the ants, bugs, spiders up to frogs, lizards and snakes endlessly fascinating and they are all essential elements in a balanced ecosystem. Show me more!
Fascinating. It's not always just about the "big game." 🕷
the spider wrapping with the web reminded me a lot of the scene of the spider man wrapping the lizard in amazing spider man.
Image stabilization..you should find it.
Goodjob cutting right before she bites
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the cameraman standing on the web with his pink spiderman crocs left totally unharmed!!!
That’s nice!
A spider a day keeps the pests away. Remember that.
The last fly was dinner for later.
You sound like Stewie from family guy
yeah and serail killer vibes too
How can you tell the difference between a male and a female?
Male is way smaller than female and has like "boxing gloves" next to his mouth
@@markmlinar3703 well in some spider cases like the tarantula the males are bigger.
I didnt know that
@@henriquedearruda8902 not always. I believe also the females live abit longer than males
How does the spider do when its time to eat that she stored.since its wrapped up.Does she unwrap it or does she eat everything including that thing around it?
My guess is the spider just tears apart the cocoon and not ingest the silk web. As you can see, the spiders legs seem immune to the sticky web
No! As a person who studies spiders they actually eat the silk and reabsorbs the nuitrients to spin another web in case of the web being damaged
