    one of the real lessons about manuals.. the arms shooting out and arched back are the counterbalance,to avoid falling backwards..

    What a great video! You are such a helpful teacher, I am so happy you include drills to practice. No wonder heel manuals have been so hard, I wasn’t flaring 😂❤

    This is exactly the video I was looking for! I'd been trying to do double heel stationary manuals & it seemed impossible...now I know I need to flare out!

    Do you bend your knees while doing manuals? I’m on a journey of learning to skate. I just mastered bubbles but can’t transition I don’t know if it’s just that the wheels are sticky. I practice at home too nervous to go outside at the moment.😊

    • @Skatie
      @Skatie  Год назад +1

      It’s good to keep a soft knee with a slight bend at all times. The heel flare manual requires a slightly straighter knee to balance. Make sure you’ve unlocked backwards skating before learning to transition. I have a video on the way to help with transition drills so that might be a good one for you.
