  • Lynsi Snyder is the owner and heiress of the In-N-Out Burger company, the only grandchild of the original founders of the company. She was raised in a loving, Christian family that was broken by her beloved father’s alcohol addiction and infidelity. Lynsi strongly identified with her dad and was devastated by her parents’ divorce at age 12 and later by her father’s death during her teen years. Lynsi then began a journey of seeking love to fill the void of her father.
Her first three marriages all ended in divorce and were part of what Lynsi describes as a downward spiral of wandering farther away from God, her family and her own identity. Eventually reaching the lowest pit of her life, Lynsi had a remarkable encounter with God, discovering His love, acceptance and identity in a profound way. Today, Lynsi and her husband, Sean Ellingson, have a ministry to train and equip Christians to use their spiritual gifts to serve and heal broken-hearted people. In this interview, Lynsi will share her remarkable testimony. She will also share about her passion to fight addiction and human trafficking.

My little brother is addicted to drugs and alcohol. Please pray for him to surrender to the Lord. I have been struggling with him the past year and it was an emotional roller coaster for me dealing with his addiction and guilt tactics. I gave him an ultimatum this weekend. Go to rehab or live on the streets. Idk if that was the right thing but I know he’s in the Lords hands. He refused to work or help me out and I live by myself. But I know the Lord takes care of me. I really want to learn more about how to help someone with addictions. It breaks my heart to see him making bad choices. Hearing this testimony really gives me hope for my brother. Thank you for this ministry.

Hello, Julia. It means a great deal that you felt comfortable sharing the difficulties you are facing in connection with your brother’s addiction. Our hearts go out to you - - the feelings of pain experienced by members of an alcoholic’s family are very real, and we want to be of assistance as best we’re able.
Know that we’ll be praying for your brother, asking the Lord to deliver him from his addictions and guide him to seek the assistance he clearly needs. May God bless you and grant you wisdom as you look to Him for guidance in dealing with this situation.
Also, if you’d like to speak about your concerns with one of our counselors (at no cost to you), you may call 1-800-A-FAMILY (232-6459) weekdays between 6:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. (MT). Meanwhile, you might want to check out the following, as well:

At 10:45 he says something that I've seen so much a part of the church. Many believers project a perfection because they are Christians yet they don't posses it. They just pretend to

I mean that’s quite the issue with “The Christians”. It’s the reason why people with brain cells often leave churches when they see the façade when they’re just seeking healing.

Focus on the Family give me a break, focus on Christ. Jesus said, Luk 14:26
If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
