Interviewer:- "Let's talk about your part in Aliens, Bill".... Bill:- "No, let's talk some more about Sigorney's part". What a humble, lovely guy Bill Paxton was.
Bill Paxton playing that marine guy constantly losing it and then getting it back after being told few things from the people is that I believe calling great acting.
What made Sigourney and Jim's portrayal of Ripley great was that Ripley was a bullshit-hater, not a man-hater. The Alien movies do not show a trace of contempt for men, but they show an appropriate contempt for evil and cowardice, which are the real problems in the world that political rhetoric attempts to conceal. When Sigourney Weaver mentions stereotypes in this interview, she isn't blaming men, but saying that the stereotype of the timid female is perpetuated by both men and women, and that it's bullshit. Cowardice is not a gender trait, and the Alien movies are extremely clear about this. Also, Ripley isn't portrayed as superior to men. She would not have survived without the efforts and sacrifices of other crew members.
This comment could not be more spot on. This is why today's younger generations just don't get it. Instead of being strong females in their own space, men are now parading as women and taking their spaces from them. What lunacy.
Bill Paxton and Sigourney were part of my movie childhood. love their films. Gorillas in the mist, Ghost Busters, Alien franchise "i love 3", Terminator, Ghosts of the abyss, True Lies, Weird Science, Avatar, Predator, Galaxy Quest. Sigourney still looks amazing and i heard shes lovely and seems lovely. Bill was a great guys too. Rest In Peace to another hero of mine gone :(
I love Sigourney Weaver interviews, apart from beautiful, she's super funny and ingenious, I love the faces she makes. She's so special...And our beloved mr. Paxton, he will never be forgotten.
Even though BP is gone, i still think Hudson is one of the best supporting roles ever and one of Bills best. He didnt get "enough" credit. Fuck why did he have to die. You will be missed Bill...(
I remember seeing a scene or two of Frailty when I was a kid and thinking how ... intense Bill was in it. Anyway, as I got older I always wanted to see Frailty in it's entirety but could never remember the name of the movie. Luckily, the other week I just happened to notice the cover on a shelf at my local movie store, so I bought it ! I have now scene the whole movie, and yes - Frailty is a great movie ! Matthew McConaughey and Powers Booth deserve recognition for their part in the movie also, I believe.
Bill was what, 61 years old when he died? To me he looks 50 tops in this clip. Not only he was taken so abruptly and shockingly, but also at such a young age in my opinion. He's so cool, positive and young spirited. People like him taken away is so awful and unfair.
Aliens was so far ahead of it´s time. So complex and ambitious; visually it´s still rivals and tops most science fiction movies of today. - And then there is the acting and storytelling.
RIP Bill Paxton. Loved all your roles and sorry you're gone. And yes, Hudson was the valve release. We needed him in all that horror. Thank you for such a wonderful character. And to Sigourney, keep rocking it madam.
After they were done with this interview, Bill Paxton turned to Sigourney Weaver and said _"That's it man, interview over man, interview over....what the f*ck we gonna do now? What are we gonna do?!?"_
This makes me so sad. RIP Bill. Private Hudson was and always will be one of my favourite movie characters of all time and Paxton one of my favourite actors.
A little credit should be given to Hicks. He taught her how to use the weapons. He saw something that was worth training. He was integral part of her story arc.
I saw the movie for the first time i was a toddler back in the 80s, i think in 87 or 88 can't recall the year, but for some reason, I absolutly loved Bill's Hudson character and wanted to be him and fight aliens when I was older... a shame that my childhood hero passed so soon...
"Game over, man! Game over!" Will miss Bill Paxton. He was great in just about everything such as the sleazy car salesman in True Lies and as Maria Alonso's partner in Predator II.
❤❤❤❤❤ Sigourney 😮. My fav movie is Alien because it scared me so much and my mum reminds me of Ripley. This is beautiful - thank you so much for sharing and just incredible to see Bill. Miss you soo much dude. RIP
Love the whole cast, but Michael Biehn, apart from Kurk Russel, got some of the best action rolls in cinema back then !!! Bill made it so memorable though. And Sigourney, well, what can you say ??? Just a mind blowing actress ...
Bill is the best and rocks even after his passing. And Sigourney is as good. But being that I'm a guy that has always loved her. Man she's so beautiful
It’s surreal watching this now knowing Bill Paxton would be gone seven months after this was posted. RIP Bill Paxton. Thank you for Aliens, Twister and more!

RIP peace Paxton. You made my childhood a joy! Thanks for Hudson and the rest of your characters!!!
Hick was the male hero of the movie but Hudson was more memorable with his one-two liners. Sigourney Weaver is still beautiful as ever.
salamander337 get away from her you bitch
Lmao
Yeah but froim your handle i thought your favorite character would be Newt, of course
stop your grinning and drop your linen!
Hicks was not the hero of the movie; all the actors played second fiddle to Ripley.

great comment
Couldn’t have put it better myself 👍
Siskel and Ebert eat you heart out well analysed .
Truth, Nailed. Till the end of my days, I will always consider Aliens the perfect movie. One of the greatest of all time.

RIP Bill Paxton! My deepest condolences to his family, he was a great actor and family man...he will be forever missed!

Fuck why did he have to die. You will be missed Bill...(
"Thou know'st 'tis common; all that lives must die,
Passing through nature to eternity."

RIP Bill.
2 characters in Aliens that are afraid, but at one point face their fears and become courageous protagonists. Awesome actors.
Bill Paxton is also a great director. His film "Frailty" is awesome...
I remember seeing a scene or two of Frailty when I was a kid and thinking how ... intense Bill was in it.

KronnangDunn yes, it is.
Great cast, great movie
Absolutely great movie that doesn't get the recognition it deserves, likely because of its somewhat spiritual ending.
Ah Frailty. If you don't see evil you're evil.
I idolized Hudson as a kid. And I still do today. R. I. P Mr Paxton you were and always will be a hero to me.
Game over man. Game over. ☝️
R.I.P. Bill Paxton. Looks like you finally made it out of this chickenshit outfit
FilmMasterAdam Were fucked man.

@@tinytanks oh no, he had a botched operation? That's horrible:/
@@micahrutland9021 yeah bill died after what was supposed to be a routine operation. Tragic
It hurts watching this with Bill gone but I'm glad it's here.
Game over man in 2017 . Rip Hudson. You were amazing in aliens. Always on my mind.
Aliens was so far ahead of it´s time. So complex and ambitious; visually it´s still rivals and tops most science fiction movies of today. - And then there is the acting and storytelling.
RIP to all that have past in part 1 & 2 of my favorite and most iconic franchise.
It's a crime Sigourney Weaver missed out for her Oscar nomination for The Ice Storm.
Her role in the Alien films was inspiring.
6:26 Suddenly, this interview gets magical! R.I.P Bill Paxton.
RIP Bill Paxton, the favourite actor of my childhood. Taken way to early
RIP Bill Paxton. Loved all your roles and sorry you're gone. And yes, Hudson was the valve release. We needed him in all that horror. Thank you for such a wonderful character. And to Sigourney, keep rocking it madam.
Two of my favorite people talking about one of my favorite things. I'll miss you, Bill.
After they were done with this interview, Bill Paxton turned to Sigourney Weaver and said _"That's it man, interview over man, interview over....what the f*ck we gonna do now? What are we gonna do?!?"_
She replies "Maybe we could build a fire and sing a few songs....why don't we try that?"
Thanks you two😂

When you really look back at cinema history looking for the most courageous protagonists - you got to put Ripley in there.

Both of them are amazing people. I'm so glad they were part of one of my favorite movies of all time.
A little credit should be given to Hicks. He taught her how to use the weapons. He saw something that was worth training. He was integral part of her story arc.
Ooh, that's a burn. Interviewer describes Ripley as the baddest ass character, while she's sitting next to the "Ultimate Badass"
XD lmao
