    I have my grandfathers corded Black and Decker Leafhog blower Vac that I use at my grandmothers house. It works great and mulched the leaves up well. But this one seems like it does way better mulching the leaves up. Very impressive

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  8 месяцев назад

      This mulches them very well, but struggles on wet leaves. It's great if the leaves are dry.

    I was just raking leaves yesterday and started to consider this, the cost is my only apprehension. $369 tool only crazy to me since its essentially the $150 blower with a blade and a bag.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  6 месяцев назад

      It was more expensive that what I though too. It works well on dry leaves. It mulches them down more than other brands.

    I was looking at this. I have other 40v lawn tools and really want a leaf vacuum. As much as this looks nice I am not sure about the $500 CAD price tag when a corded leaf vac is like $150 - $200.

    OMG I love the pointer!
    I appreciate the video, because it's helped me know NOT to buy it. The suction power seems barely acceptable on dry leaves, so not ready for wet leaves or any more demanding task.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  11 месяцев назад +1

      Haha, thanks, glad you like the pointer. This blower is handy, if the conditions are right. Someday I may feature a gas blower vac, just to see a comparision.

  • @craftlocust

    Great video. Can the bag be left open or removed safely to allow mulched leaves to simply drop to the ground?

    • @MrDanBaltimore
      @MrDanBaltimore Месяц назад

      Yes the leaves do not have to go into the bag

    Could you use the vacuum to clean out rose petal debris from 1" granite rock - how to protect the mulch blade from sucking up the rock?

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  28 дней назад

      If you hover this over the rose petals, it will quickly pick them up and not the rock. It's not that powerful to pick up rocks or pebbles.

    Mr. Mark Thomas! Really good Review my friend!
    Ryobi is stepping up their game of late. This looks to be a good product, albeit a little unorthodox looking. I owned briefly, they’re top of the line ‘Whisper Series’ 40 Volt blower and really liked it, save for three concerns: Cruise control would not stay on ‘High’ speed, and it was very tippy when sat down on the ground ( minor nit I realize ) but despite getting two 4.0 Ah batteries with the kit, they are the weak link. Judicious use of ‘Turbo’ would only yield around the same runtime you experienced in your Video, Mark. And the batteries are two big to carry on your person. I liked the Ryobi, even over the EGO I ended up keeping, as it was smooth and quiet, and really moved leaves out of my diptych, especially on Turbo.
    Ryobi needs to upgrade their 40 Volt batteries, as these tools deserve better batteries.
    I get about 25-27 minutes MAX, from the 5.0 Ah 56 Volt Ego. I still liked the Ryobi, but for pure runtime and performance ( 765 CFM ) the EGO is hard to beat. Stay safe everyone! 👍✌🇺🇸

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  Год назад +1

      Thanks for sharing your insights, George! I definitely respect your opinion. I haven't had a chance to try Ego yet, but will probably start of with one of their blowers. The runtime you mentioned is impressive.

    • @georgedavall9449
      @georgedavall9449 Год назад +1

      @@MarkThomasBuilder Thanks Mark, and You’re Welcome! Shucks, that is High praise coming from you! Feeling is mutual. 😊
      Just to be clear, for You and the Community; The Run times I quoted for the EGO, were timed with my countdown bezel of my watch, and so there may be a +/- 30 second deviation. And I stressed MAX, which involved 30-40 % use of Turbo, I’m guessing? If I use Turbo over half the time, it would be more like 23-25 minutes or so, and of course, YMMV, as well as different conditions will effect runtimes.
      I meant to add, the fast charger that came with the Ryobi Whisper Series blower, was a good unit, and had a fan, and charged the 4.0 40 Volt batteries rather quickly. Larger Ah batteries are available, but that just adds to the cost. So Ryobi, if You’re ‘listening,’ please update your batteries! Best to You Mark and the Community! 👍✌🇺🇸

    It was great my friend. Perfect and professional as always. One question, if a stone enters during suction, will it not damage the machine's propeller? 👏👏👏👍👍👍

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  Год назад +1

      Thanks, that's a good question. I haven't picked up a stone yet and would say the suction isn't powerful enough to lift one up. If it did, then yes it would likely jam and potentially be an issue.

    • @masoodamg6633
      @masoodamg6633 Год назад

      I think so too. Therefore, you should be careful and use it in a place where you are sure of the absence of stones and similar things. Thankful@@MarkThomasBuilder

    I have a hard time removing the bag after use, dirt and clippings seem to block turning the knob. In order to remove the bag, I need to spend 15 to 20 minutes knocking the clipping out of the unit. Do you know a faster way?

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  3 месяца назад

      I wish there was an easier way to remove the bag. It almost needs a different size knob or something. Wish I had a better solution.

    • @MarkThomasBuilder
      @MarkThomasBuilder  Год назад

      I've tested a Sunjoe one that has wheels on the end which is nice when vacuuming curbs. The performance seems a little less, due to the smaller battery.
      Worx makes one but it's corded, last I knew. If you move up into a gas unit, then ECHO and Stihl make one, but I haven't tested it yet to see how it performs.
