It wouldn't be used against you legally 20 years ago, so why now? Because our justice system has been completely subverted? Grow up.
I personally don't ever use that kind of language no matter how upset I get. That has a lot to do with my upbringing. I understand in such a situation one will use the strongest language in their vocabulary so no issue with that, but one can be just as assertive without adding words in there that don't add to the meaning. Yelling put the gun down or I'll shoot your head off would work just as well as yelling put the gun down or I'll shoot your #@*# head off, plus it takes fewer words. Again, I guess it has a lot to do with upbringing, so I don't really blame the officer here as much as those who drilled that language into his head. I remember a day when I would not have been the exception for saying this and the world was also a better place then. Just saying.
I am lucky enough to have a personal range. Quite large in fact. Ive even been able to shoot from moving vehicles, parked vehicles etc. We don't do that much, but have brought our cars out and practiced shooting from inside them. If you don't have this luxury... find somebody with some land and guns and befriend that person. Bring them some ammo and I bet they'd let ya shoot. After a while, you could almost surely atleast park your car on there range and shoot from inside, Its great practice and a lot different than you'd think when actually doing it. Other than that, you'd probably have to find a highly specialized training facility or range etc and pay for the privilege. It really is a weird thing to do though, any CCW and especially LEO should practice shooting from inside a vehicle I believe. Almost everything changes in that situation and its easy to get proficient from your vehicle if you just have a little chance to practice for real. I'm gonna have to drive my truck out to the range again soon and practice this type stuff again myself after seeing this lol.
Thank God for these cops. This lunatic is pointing a gun at people. Cop shoots to scare him, then gets up to him and starts using intimidating skills. Great work.

It's not a matter of if we have this right. It's a matter of we absolutely have it, regardless of whatever anybody thinks about it, and our bill of rights forbids it's infringement. The bill of rights doesn't give us anything. It only recognizes our preexisting rights and protects us from the government, our public servants, who swore to uphold that fundamental value. If a cop is introducing me to new swear words with a gun pointed at me, I think he is looking for any reason to blow my brains out. I submit.
That's exactly the reason why it shouldn't be said because a prosecutor might use this 2 years down the road because you did blow somebody's brains out.
Contrast this video to the recent one where the cop drilled the perp in the face after being rammed in his squad car, then shot at. I'd say this guy's got some room for improvement, both on the PR end and the marksmanship end.

Some departments actually teach cops to swear, loudly. The shock of a cops swearing like an asshole at them is sometimes enough time to give them the edge. It's still weird, though.
Aaaah yes,... the language of the "new" generation. I'll betcha former military. Times have changed. These young'uns know that new age criminals react much faster to cursing.
Naw man, while I don’t use language on the job normally, sometimes during high stress moments it comes out and that is just how it goes. Although it is against policy, that fact is understood all the way to the chief. I have had my gun to someone’s head screaming that I will blow their fing head off if they keep reaching for their gun. I didn’t have to shoot because they got the message, so I am very comfortable with my language. That is the way the world works.
Something to think about and train is kicking down the parking brake if you have vehicles with a floor mounted unit. It will help with keeping someone from using up their hands during shooting! Great lessen once again. Thanks

John - great job pointing out the tourniquet issue. I’ve corrected cops and MPs for that several times.

Right, let's have a whole discussion about the officer's language and not the fact perp was shooting at other people and our officer.
It's important to learn how to shoot from every type of uncomfortable position I learnt this today always resonated in my mind
Like the backseat of a Volkswagen?(Mallrats)
I saw a video with 2 guys that looked just like you guys practicing shooting from the drivers seat just last week.

@@Oscar-fc2ye No, censorship is exactly what it is. It's somebody telling somebody else what they're allowed to say. Here n America, that's a no go. N fact it's the cornerstone of our American ethos. U might disagree, u might not like it but, it's this way for very good reasons. There r consequences for every liberty we have a god given right to, and rewards. It's not a matter of if we have this right. It's a matter of we absolutely have it, regardless of whatever anybody thinks about it, and our bill of rights forbids it's infringement.
