    ⚠️UPDATE! I mistakenly said turbo and spoke about the horsepower/torque specs on the gas model 2.4L Turbo. The Hybrid AWD-e has the 2.5L non turbo. This offers 243 combined net horsepower, with 186hp @ 6,000 rpm and 175 lb./ft torque @ 4400 rpm. NO TURBO!
    (But my comment on the exponential power during the test drive stands. Very similar feel to a turbo!)
    Welcome to my video on the 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid LE!
    Since 2001, the Toyota Highlander has offered reliable 3-row transportation with plenty of comfort, and cargo space to boot. It has grown in size and technology over the years. Plus with the evergreen Toyota Hybrid System, it gets the gas mileage of a small car!
    But the Highlander has gone through big changes for 2023! With an updated powertrain, and some new software, the 2023 Highlander is actually much different than the 2022…even though they LOOK the same.
    In this video we will cover the exterior, engine and drivetrain, then make our way inside to talk about the space and style in the 2023 Toyota Highlander Hybrid LE. We will also take it for a test drive and explore this efficient 3-row SUV.

    Okay. First…great informative video Brian! Second, if I were genuinely interested in a Highlander hybrid I am sold on the LE Hybrid! Yes, I would miss the tilt and slide sunroof, however I would be willing to live without it. I definitely like the black and gray color combination! As long as the cloth seating doesn’t feel “woolly or scratchy” I could live without the Softex seating! I will say I didn’t realize that Toyota did away with the 2.5 liter 4 cylinder hybrid system! I’ve seen the new 2.4 liter turbo engine in the Highlander and the one in your example looked identical to the 2021 Camry 4 cylinder hybrid system. Beyond that I am sold if I were seriously interested! Wow what a great way of explaining everything about this wonderful SUV! Just another reason I appreciate you and your willingness to explain everything! Well done Friend! Always with full respect! Mark in Iowa.

    4.9 star review. Missing from the review is: the all-weather floor mats are non-standard, and are an added cost. Matter-of-fact, even carpeted floor mats are not free. And the mudguards are added to the base cost. My 2 week-old 2023 Highlander hybrid LE came with carpet mats, but I recommend getting the all-weather ones with the sales person's discount when you buy the vehicle. Way cheaper. Drove my new Highlander from L.A. to San Diego after purchase and got an amazing 43 MPG. It was mostly a flat freeway and I used a feather touch on the pedal to keep it under 60 mpg for engine break-in period.

      How’s your Iowa winter been?

    • @marksmith4582
      @marksmith4582 Год назад +1

      Everywhere between mild and frigid! Not a lot of snow however! Our region of the Midwest has been predicted to be a more “open” winter with not as much overall precipitation. So some snow now and then, and some rain now and then. We were absolutely below zero a week before Christmas. Then temperatures moderated to around 40 degrees. Today was 6 degrees and sunny. Tomorrow should be just slightly warmer…slightly. Around 30 by Wednesday and Thursday then drops a little for Friday. Then we jump to upper 30’s to mid 40’s by next Monday. So all over the place.
