Hi everyone! Just to be clear, this video was not sponsored by Notion in any way and I don't currently have a relationship with the company. I'm simply sharing my favorite tools with you in hopes that it will be helpful and inspiring 😊 Thanks so much for all of your wonderful support ✨🙏🏼
Can you share the template of 'learning data science' with us free or paid whatever you choose! I see a lot of resources but gets overwhelmed. Its nice to see all sorted at one place. Btw superb video & good luck for future ones.
Do you by chance know a way I could use this to help remember to study the kanji, and to actually study them better? In a way that works with Remembering the Kanji by Heisig I mean. My biggest problem is not forgetting information - I remember pretty much anything I study or research - but rather forgetting to study and learn that information, I do it with everything I am actually interested in but oddly don't forget with things that I simply hate.
Bruh. I literally just started using Notion last week and had been debating how to add my language learning stuff to it. I specifically remember thinking a few days ago “oh wouldn’t it be nice if the dude with the hair made a video about it?” ..... 😯😂 Needless to say, I’m surprised and very pleased to see this!! Will be setting up my language workspace tonight!
@@flawlessvicd7612 Bro I LOVE being uncool! Thanks, now I know to use Bro way more often so no one accidentally mistakes me as cool… how embarrassing that would be!
Yay I'm glad the video left you mind blown! I hope your workspace will be beautiful full of Turkish stuff! It's looking like Part 2 is a popular vote! 😀
I've watched a ton of videos on using Notion, and this one is the best. Clear, practical, yet still infused with Robin's usual positive energy and passion for learning. Well done.
I've just bought an iPad Pro. I'm trying to learn Spanish as I live in Spain and have been looking for a way to keep all my notebooks and stuff organised. This is amazing. Thank you so much. 👍
I just found Notion a couple weeks ago and am in love. I've been looking for a place to put everything I have had spread out over tons of notebooks, apps, sticky notes, and my brain in an organized place so that I can stop being overwhelmed! I've been looking at other language learner's templates and have found some pretty amazing ones! Thank you so much for this wonderful video! ❤️
THANK YOU! Took me about 6 tries but I was finally able to find a video that walked thru someone's process while also giving a good idea about how the app works and easy short cuts. A lot of ppl just go on and on about their own setup with no explanation so thanks!
Thank you so much for this!!! Wow, you really deserve more recognition. The content you post has helped me tremendously in my language learning journey. I find that, with the more mainstream polyglots, there isn't too much of an explanation for their methods that can be applied to every aspect/language. Esp. with Notion being so new (for me, at least), nobody really goes into such depth with how it can be used this way. Thank you for such original content! I'm looking forward to a part 2 :)
I’m learning a language right now and feel overwhelmed by how to organize the information I’m learning. I’ve been writing things on paper but it’s not working well for me. And I’m also new to Notion so I was intimidated by how to use it. This video was so helpful and gave me very practical tools on how to use Notion. You’ve inspired me to use it for studying more efficiently for my language. Thank you so much!
This is the first video I have watched from your channel. I have never seen such an organized, productive video, it was insane. I enjoyed this vid very much, thank you!!!!
There should be a triple thumb-up sign for this. I am an ex-professional language learner. Now it is just a hobby and it is so hard to integrate it into daily life. Now I have my notes all over the place (virtual and actual home space). Ironically, I learnt about Notion from "Jardin de Martin" channel and this overview is just awesome. Thank you, Robin!
I have watched many videos about how to use notion and this is the one that finally helped me. Especially because I've been looking for a language learning template that was simple but useful. Thanks for the tutorial!
Hi Robin, i just found your chanel a few days ago and i have to say IT'S GREAT! love your videos and the positive energy that you put in every single one, i'm a spanish speaker, right now i'm improving my english and with your chanel i've been learning a lot, "mining" videos in order to add cool phrases and idioms to my vocabulary. Keep it up! I'd love to see a second part of this video, cheers!
Hi Jose, wow thanks so much for the really encouraging comment! I'm really happy to read that my positive energy and videos are having an impact! I really appreciate the support, keep up the great work with your English! 💪🏼✨ Cheers!
Thanks for letting me know @Fisico gamer! I can definitely see how it could be quite overwhelming since you can do so many things with Notion. I'm happy to try and make nice tutorials that hopefully make it easier for you! :)
I’ve been trying to learn how to use Notion for weeks. I’m only halfway through the video but this is so far the best Notion tutorial I’ve ever watched. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. Been looking at Notion RUclipss for over a month and this is by far the most helpful so far. This is a great help in getting me started and will sign-up with Notion now. Love your language vids too.
The first part was awesome... reaching the templates part of the video my brain had a stroke of info! I will have to rewatch this a couple of times but this video is amazing! Thanks 👍
Also, I'd love to see you do another one of these videos, where you take us through the whole process! I'd love to see some more language setups from you!
Such an amazing playground for nerds and for everyone with OCD 😅 I guess I know how I'll spend my weekends: I'll be organizing my whole and entire life, making lists and etc. I already have a BuJo, but this seems to be a lot cooler
Yeah, part 2 please. Also, I haven't finished the video yet so maybe you mention this, but I realized that if you go into a RUclips playlist, I did the Easy Italian playlist, and use that link to embed a video, you can then cycle though the entire playlist right there in notion. You can only use the next and previous video arrows, so it's not perfect, but it's still pretty useful
Wow! Here I was enjoying my dessert and watching your vid at the same time and 8:06 happened : I forgot my yogurt's existence! Really cool ! I hope that Notion is light enough for my old pc to run without pb :) Thanks for the great advice!
Notion is such an amazing app i'm surprised that it's not that known by students, workers or anyone really. I've been using it for a while now but not at it's full potential, so thank you for showing the things the app can do!
This was excellent! Very simple yet powerful. My curiosity got the better of me and i try to flesh out some of the stuff you did. This started me down a rabbit hole of getting nested kanbans (ie a task (project) which itself has some tasks in it) , which I now have in my notion. So i have one master databases and have all projects and tasks in this master levels. I then have sub levels for each language which links to this master but filters on the language i want. I then took it one further and made this master include all my non language learning stuff too. I think I'm going to test this out to organise my life lol The other thing I did was, I have a master phrases db for each language, and then i can drill down to each lesson or show to have only phrases from those particular lessons and shows. Not a lot of language learning today but this has definitely set me up to be more effective and efficient in my learning.
Man, this is I think my very first youtube comment! I just have to comment now because YOU inspired me, you are such a great and intelligent man. I use your videos as material for my studies on English. I feel so bad because we are getting so much important information through your videos FOR FREE. I feel like I should pay to watch these kinds of videos. All the best to you man! And please, (this is for viewers) if you had noticed some mistakes that I've made please correct me. See ya.
This is so amazing. I downloaded it immediately and will watch this video over and over until I’m able to set up my own language learning page. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for this video. As a result, I was quickly able to create an extensive, well-organized, (and eye-catching) note-taking system in Notion for my French studies.
I just wanna say thanks, pal, this video was amazing. I'm learning English and I was looking for some advice on how I can study in a more organized way I think I found it. Te ganastes un Like.
I’d love to see how you review the contents you’ve studied. How you go through pages or tables that you have created on previous days and how you review them on the next couple days, later on, next month, or two months later perhaps. like, a repetition system, I don’t know if get it, but I hope so haha. Amazing video man, thanks for that!
Extremely powerful. Particularly for Wikis. My only gripe is that one could get bogged down with the overwhelming potential, whereas you just get stuff done on OneNote.
Hey, thanks for a great video! Very informative. I just recently found your channel and it's already becoming one of my favourites in the language category. :) I'm a language enthusiast and I've been in the chaotic state of "I wanna learn everything!" and fairly recently started to focus on getting my french to a high level, but still mostly doing passive input so Notion seems like a powerful tool to keep my language material structured, so I'll give that a go. Cheers! Also learning dutch at a lower level, as I have some friends there, and dabbled in a bunch of other languages that I'd like to focus on later aswell. And being a bit introverted I quite appreciate your other videos on "solo output practice" etc. There seems to be, like you said, a lot of things you can do with Notion, so a part 2 would definitely be interesting! Keep up the good work, man!
Hi Robin, I love watching your videos, its my first time watching a language channel regularly. Would love part 2 and another video about time management.
After seeing few videos, now I am sure I want more of this way. This is how one can learn it. Already the slope of its learning curve is high, so grabbing all information at once with no repetitions and ideas is no way to learn from. Please do more videos, you should be sponsored to be the official tutorial for them or at least for the rest of people to create videos following your steps.
look at 7:00! I think you chose it just cuz it's a book, for your "phrases" page; but, it's the title of a rather horrible section of the bible, the "book of Job." it's not bad per se, just... incongruous? funny?
cartweel ahhhh I see! To be honest, this entire video was improvised as I was previously going to show my personal Notion space and after 5 hours of struggling to find a good format, I suddenly had this idea to just build a language learning system from scratch 😅 By that time, time was getting pretty desperate and I did this in one take completely improvised, but it was a super stressful experience haha just watching the clock and trying to build as much as I could. The weird part is that when I did that “phrase book” search, I clicked on one and it was clearly a passage from the Bible and I thought it better to not include that, so I picked another one, and another, and all three were passages from the Bible. So finally I kind of reset with the camera still rolling and just cut that previous part out, but I didn’t even realize that it happened again! I wonder what about that query returns a ton of things from the bible 🤯
Hi Robin! Thank you so so much for this video. I only found your channel recently and I must say, this Notion tutorial is a gem! This is what I needed to get my language learning organized. Honestly, my notebook is just not enough. I was following along in my own Notion as you explain, pausing every now and then. You really explain and demonstrate very well. Thank you, again and I'm looking forward for a Part 2.
New here. Really enjoyed this video. I've been using Notion since May 2020, really like the software. For those who don't know you can share a page with our people. For example, I've been learning French for years and to help my progress I've started teaching my mum French via video, so I share screen and we work on Notion. She has access to view and comment outside our lessons, so great place for categorised shared resources. The software can allow the guest to edit if you want to the person to have more control. I have also found the person contact template can be changed into a LDND, last done next due, which is great for remember when you last completed a task and it auto calculates when to tell you to do the task again. Anyway, would love to hear more on your Notion setup Robin. Thanks
I started messing around with this site once your explanation started. Seems like it’s not only going to be useful but also really fun! Thanks for the information!
I absolutely loved this video! This is brilliant! I had never used Notion before, but now I do thanks to the video, and I am loving it so far but would love to learn and explore more! Thank-you for this helpful tutorial!
Hi Robin! What an unexpected but delightful re-encounter! 😊 Your video has helped me start my own notion system. I found it really valuable to watch - thanks! (and hope all is well :))
When you're early, but following Robin's directions so getting a cafe au lait with coconut milk first (my coffee preference at work). Can't wait to see this.

How did I miss this video?! I've literally just got notion so I'm learning the ways to use it and this is so fun and interesting watching how others organise themselves! I've definitely picked up a few tips here!
Wow, was just literally looking for a Notion guide and lenguage learning. Havent finished watching the video but subscribed instantly. Keep up the nice work. Edit: Finished the video, awesome, waiting for more tutorial on improving Lenguage Learning.
