Buying a men's watch for women is such a valid assessment. My wife basically "stole" my 5 digit seadweller off of me, (saying it looks better her smaller wrist than mine) also occasionally wears my longines heritage 1945, now wants to see if she can get a 41mm datejust (fluted bezel, white dial, bar index). I also my add a 34mm rolex date are perfect watches for ladies as well!
For me the best holiday and watch shopping would have to be Hong Kong. I thought it was a beautiful city by day and by night. And so many watch shops, everything one can imagine. Prices are quite high I thought but the selection out weighs that for me
Just ordered a Christopher Ward the auto Sealander. Looked at a pre-owned Omega Aqua Terra which is better in every way BUT at 5 times the price, I just could not justify it. They also collaborated with Roger Smith to form the British Watch & Clockmakers Alliance, and for that they get my upmost respect. Plus it’s a bloody good watch! 😁
I already have a CW Trident MK1 and am a fan of the new Aqua Terra 41mm with the blue second hand, but I have recently seen a few videos of the Sealander and I think it might be one of best all rounder watches in that price range. Looks right for any occasion.
Pound for pound German watch making is as good as swiss if not better. In my experience German watchmakers max everything out of their watches. Sinn for the money is amazing.
Thanks for the comments on German watchmaking. While I cherish my Swiss watches for the level of style and class they bring, from a practical point of view, I find that my Damasko DC67 outperforms my Swiss watches comfortably in every way. It is a simple a watch (with a Swiss movement) that performs its daily tasks perfectly and is so scratch resistant that it still looks brand new... literally! From my discussions with fellow owners of German watches in this price range (i.e. Sinn and Damasko), it seems as if these watches appeal more to enthusiasts who want the best tool for the task… wearing a watch every day and not wanting to be concerned by damaging their timepiece. If this is your wish, look no further than the German watches that are almost indestructible. Cheers, Fed!
I have a great idea for the car fans of the channel, and you can help Frederico out immensely. Instead of a Ferrari or Lamborghini, buy a Corvette. It is probably fast enough to cruise in the cities and get you seen, AND take the money you save and buy a nice high-end watch from Delray Watch. Just a suggestion...
Though Porsche is my personal choice, I certainly agree with Ferrari over Lamborghini and your spot on with Christopher Ward. Thank you for the Q and A Fed.
I totally agree.. HK is a great city with great food and TONS of watches. I really feel with so many stores selling nearly all brands available in the world.. I find it hard to imagine you couldn't find AND buy some of the most sought after watches.
Great Video. Per square mile, Las Vegas is best for watch shopping. There are three Rolex ADs within walking distance from each other, plus multiple outlets for all major brands.
Sinn EZM 3 for my dive, Archimede Outdoor for everyday and Jaeger & Benzinger for my dress. Vintage Hamilton tank for my family hand down....No swiss in my small collection
Swiss vs German? I'm a Japanese watches fan, but I do have a cheapest Swiss watch in the group : Swiss military Wenger classic field watch for my daily beater, I said that is a great value piece that I ever had. So everything starts from bottom, next time I will try a entry grade German one .
I drove a Ferrari tractor in the mountains of northern Spain in the Basque Country, really smooth drive for a tractor, it was like drawing circles in a field with enjoyment. I didn't need the Speedy however to time the loops, the tachymeter would have been way off XD
Got a chuckle out of this because I’ve been in the foreign car repair business for over 45 years...Ferrari customers are the biggest douche bags of all, not even close. But I’m sure you are the exception!! I’ll add never get a Maserati or Lamborghini person talking about their car... you need 4 hours minimum.
Dubai, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and the rest of the Persian Gulf, and yes, even Basra are best enjoyed in the winter. A British general in the First World War once said of Basra that, first the Devil invented hell and then he added flies and called it Basra. The Persian Gulf is no place to visit in the summer.
I’ve been watching for a while. And I always “liked” but today I finally subscribed. But man to man… watches are something you find in the finer things club. But… Your collar says very old tjmax purchase. 🤣🤣 But seriously tho love your stuff!!
Greetings from Dubai Another great video Can we have a video of you and Christian from Theo do a pro n con of GP Laureato. I enjoy videos from both of you but would love to see you two debate about this watch
Tried to buy a watch from Germany and when I asked about the tax refund I was told that the price was the price. I do not live in the EU and have to pay 20 % tax on import so my watch buying plans are on hold.
Nomos do make some awesome watches. I have to go with Ferrari Tom Selleck s Ferrari 308 in Magnum Pi is still my favorite Ferrari and he still sports his Rolex Gmt till this day
Now that i realize, i only have 2 swiss watches in my collection, a lot of soviets and russian ones, from Germany a nomos, a sinn, a junghans, a Glashütte original and even some Ruhlas, and from Japan some orients ans casios, but swiss watches i only have 2 tissots that were my first mechanical watches
What you said about Lambo owners could also 100% be said about Ferrari owners lol. Having a preference for one over the other is fine but your bias was on full display 😂
I agree there are just as many douche bags that own Ferrari as Lamborghini. I know Rolls Royce owners and they too are douche bags. Vegan Tesla owners are also douche bags.
I'd like to see an even bigger resurgence of French and British watchmaking. Supposedly these are where Swiss and German watchmaking, respectively, derive much of their styling from.
There's a lot of empty hype about Swiss watches. It's a great marketing business model. People can pay $10,000 ++++ for a $2,000 Rolex so the hype works. And then, the aftermarket idiot sector increases the hype even more!
When is Hans coming back!!??
I love my Glashütte Original. Probably the best value I've found in mechanical watches.
I particularly love their Iconic Sixties series! I’ve been a fan of GO for over 20 years now; long before most had ever even heard of them.

Yes but Lamborghini makes way better tractors.
Even the tractors aren’t cheap!
@@robertschmidt9584 duh, its agricultural equipment, probably cost as much as the cars do.
@@thefreshprinceofbelleairbeach no shit! That was my point.

Had a CW they are fantastic. The Sealander rocks, totally correct re the Omega, I have one, but the CW is a smashing watch. Enjoy it. 👍🏴

Ugh, I keep trying not to make so many Rolex and Omega videos.... But uhhh, it just HAPPENS, lol! IDK what is wrong with me. I NEEEED HEEEEELP haha.

Your take on most Lambo owners is how I feel about most Rolex owners.
Great Episode Fed, really appreciate it!
However, only answer to the question Ferrari vs Lamborghini can be Porsche imho ;)
G-SHOCK RULES!! Better than any watch mentioned here!!!!!
For me:
Below 10K? Swiss or Japanese (Omega, and Grand Seiko).
Over 10K? German (A. Lange & Sohne).
I totally agree.. HK is a great city with great food and TONS of watches. I really feel with so many stores selling nearly all brands available in the world.. I find it hard to imagine you couldn't find AND buy some of the most sought after watches.
Maybe Lamborghini is a d-bag brand now but Enzo Ferrari was probably the biggest d-bag in the car industry and racing.
Opinions on Ebel watches?
The 39mm version at Gnomon was $599US. Looks like they raised the price slightly after all the demand.
I just bought a Junghans Max Bill Automatic. I think this beautiful minimalist watch is a awesome value. German quality.
Hey Fed, show us more from Baume et Mercier please. :) Keep up the good work, love your content buddy.

I like vintage Lamborghini’s like the GT350 and the Miura, but agree that later models are over the top

What do you think about Mido watches especially 1970 to 2000 Oceanstar Commanders and Chronometer.
I’m a new subscriber and I am really enjoying your channel. Thank you for sharing.
As a Swiss, I disagree. The Trinity should be changed to Quadriga and include Lange & Söhne.
What watch brand/model is the Lamborghini equivalent for the DB crowd?
Daytona/Rolex! Have a few folks in my social circle who own a Daytona/Rolex and half em don't know what to do with the Chronograph function
@@Offroading_in_DXB I know plenty of Deep Sea owners that don't even swim let alone dive. A shower is the closest they get to deep sea diving.

ALS and Sinn are much better than their Swiss comparisons for less money in my opinion.
ALS aren't the bargain they once were.
I whish there were more 36 mm watches. You can hand them down to ether boy or girl and they don’t look obnoxious on my very slender wrists.
I love Chris ward fed!!!!!
Surprised Fed didnt say Alfa
First tick
Buy your lady a men's watch, yes Federico, you get it!
Pink shirt and shiny Rolex.. is this going to age well?

Swiss or German? As an enthusiast, I would argue both.
Christopher ward great price and great watch ! But still puts a deragatory attitude concerning Christopher ward! He just means it’s not a Rolex lol
I saw a woman wearing a 39 mm Explorer, it looked way to big on her tiny wrists.

Womens watch? Cartier.
There are a good number of Ferrari owners who also qualify as douchebags. I am a Ferrari fan myself.

This guy drives a Ferrari? I guess you can make more money selling watches than I thought.
Ferrari, Lamborghini ... they are expensive to own and all the petrol models are so cheap second hand right now. Sorry, just saying.
