Watching this time-lapse video is kind of like watching ants coming to a piece of food, crawling all over it! 😂🤣😅 Congratulations to all those involved, great news for the crew and fishermen, to see HER back in the water! 🤗 🍤🍤
Tbh the only shrimpers in this video were the guys that threw a line on both boats then the captains just wiggled it off with the tide. The real work was done by whatever company that was with the backhoes and stuff on land getting her out of the beached zone. I've seen them have to use airbags and all kinds of equipment to get vessels off land. But pulling it off once they are done is easy.
Glad to see this shrimp boat back in the water. We had one, Donna Kay, that got beached at Cape San Blas on the Florida panhandle. It's unreal how quickly it got vandalized and then some wannabe artist decided it would make a great canvas for his graffiti.
the captain was trying to get his boat in before the storm hit, but he started having engine problems and he knew he didn't have enough time to get someone out there to fix it before the weather started getting bad. So he did the only thing he could think to do and beached it. Looks like it worked out for him, the hurricane's gone and he's still got his boat.
After that, shrimpin' was easy. And since people still needed them shrimps for shrimp cocktails and barbecues and all. And since we were the only boat left standing, "Bubba-Gump" shrimp's what they got. We got a whole bunch of boats. Twelve Jenny's, a big ol' warehouse, we even have hats that says "Bubba-Gump" on 'em. "Bubba-Gump Shrimp." It's a household name.
I appreciate all the jokes! But all jokes aside, that is how some take care of their families! I'm the daughter of parents that did this to provide for us. Many a times my Father wasn't home because he was out in all kinds of weather breaking his back to provide for my Mom & myself with a few of his older boys!!! At times, I miss those days because to me life was simpler & my parents were alive! But, a Las nothing stays the same & I cherish those memories!!!!
The owner of the vessel is required by Federal law and the US Coast Guard to be responsible for the removal of the vessel. It was fortunate there was no environmental damage such as oil or fuel spillage. While tugboats and excavators are not cheap $, it was a relatively easy refloating/removal.
Dude, learn your stuff before you type....boats like that need removed from the beach before disaster strikes like safety issues, oil or fuel leaks especially if they are still workable.

Not when it's buried in the sand like this, you'll just rip pieces off it. Leave it to the experts, looks like they did a pretty good job without your input......? When they had it off the sand and out in the surf, maybe they shoulda changed the tow rope position, but they got it done whatever.
@@nickmaclachlan5178 thats exactly what i was tellin the other guy. If u spin it,what happens if shaft & prop catches just rite? Ull rip the boat in half...
@TP Exactly, I LOVE shrimp but I hate what it does the ocean , mainly the ocean floor. I've been on a trawler and it is devastating to the ocean floor....
Looked like they were scooping the sand back in to the holes as the boat was pulling away. Either way, pretty sure the waves will smooth it all out, especially with the tides.
I think that boat belonged to Forrest Gump.
Exactly my thoughts lol
That's what I said than I looked at your comment too. Have a great day 😀
I actually think it’s bubbas boat
That’d be bubba-Gump shrimp.
Jenny would be so proud
Shrimpin' ain't easy
But it's necessary
You ever try chicken shrimp? Shrimp gumbo, fried shrimp, shrimp strew
@Repent and believe in Jesus Christ its true 👍
Impressive rescue!! Glad to see Forrest Gump's shrimp boat back in the water.
Amazing 👍
You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, shrimp-kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple shrimp, lemon shrimp, coconut shrimp, pepper shrimp, shrimp soup, shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp and potatoes, shrimp burger, shrimp sandwich. That- that's about it.
Came here for this.
Forgot sushi with shrimp and shrimp tacos.

Lt Dan made his peace with God.. hallelujah for bubba Gump shrimp gumbo...

This is awesome glad they got him out and ready for shrimping like Bubble Gump 😀
You mean Bubba Gump or you just being cute?
Way to go 👍👍
Crazy crowd of people came to watch
Forrest called. He wants his boat back
Wow these people work extremely fast.
Yay!!!!
I would love to see those props!
Lieutenant Dan: "Is that all you got?"
Ice cream lieutenant Dan!
At first I thought those were ants running around. 🤔😀
Boat at the end...yipppeee 😊
Those shrimpers know how to get a job done! Those are working people with friends who help one another out. Loyalty to God, family and community.
Leave god out of it. For you religious people if there was a God there wouldn’t of been a storm, or his boat wouldn’t have been beached.

Great resue
You don't all messed up now Bubba.
It must've been expensive getting dug out like that. They must have more money than Davy Crockett.
There goes the price of shrimp!! Sky high! 😆
LMAO, watching this wearing my Bubba Grump t-shirt 👕 🤪
Great job, working with the tides and diggers 🤗😆
Lootennant Dan, our boat is stuck in the sand.

That's sad.
Yeah, Unfortunately it doesn't take long for the SCUMBAGS to appear!
That’s my boat. Jenny. - Forest
Was it Forest Gump’s boat?
Yup!
I seen that happen in Ibiza but it was a boat full of cocaine
Shrimp boats be like 🤷♀️
How did it get there? I mean we only heard about that hurricane for daaayyyys before it hit. ?????

That was $$$$$! Those excavators are more important elsewhere. That fisherman knows someone.
can you blame them? that is their life and they will need it more then ever, plus he could of rented that.

It cant just be left on the beach
More important? To who exactly? This is someone's livelihood.

Lt. DAN!
If I knew a storm like that was coming in my boat and I would be gone west
Had plenty of warnings
I know, cause everyone can afford to just fuel up,pack up,lock up & leave huh...

Always pull a boat from the bow, not the stern, when trying to free a ship aground.
Uhhh...Florida was at the bow. Ocean was at stern
