SOFTEK® combines the fabricated, box section STEERTEK axle and Monoleaf™ spring technology to create a cutting-edge, weight-saving front suspension system.
SOFTEK is designed for heavy-duty truck applications rated at 12,000- and 12,350-pound capacities. STEERTEK is also available with the AIRTEK front air suspension.
The ultimate lightweight ride solution providing:
Weight savings. It's up to 85 pounds lighter than two-leaf suspension with an I-beam axle. The fabricated axle contributes to the weight savings. Shackle redundancy replaces the need for a second leaf. Parts integration decreases complexity. Increased payload capacity. Improved fuel efficiency.
Superb ride. The Pure Monoleaf design delivers a smooth ride. The monoleaf spring removes interleaf friction.
Oustanding stability and handling. The Hendrickson patented STEERTEK NXT axle. Box-shaped cross section better resists twisting forces. Increased roll stability. Up to 55 degrees of wheel cut. Integrated features give total driver control during maneurvering.
Durability and maintenance. Integrated steering and tie rod arms increase strength. Innovative two-piece knuckle improves serviceability. Maintenance-free brushings require no lubrication. High-quality seals and bearings increase service life, keeping you on the road longer.
From Hendrickson’s portfolio of front suspension systems. One component of Hendrickson’s many lightweight products that work together to increase the bottom line.
Ride light. Ride smooth. Ride strong. Ride Hendrickson.

I know they are not the same but some of the things I see on these trailers are similar to the trailers at harbor freight tools.
