Best time of my life working with the best aquarium people in this world! The WA was the pioneer in many aspects! I knew I was living the gold times back then! Serious work with serious results! A great example to be followed! Amazing video!
@@Exallias1 I was fortunate to have the opportunity and to be trusted by you and the whole staff. Thank you so much, Dr. Bruce! I'll never forget your example as a director. I wish I had the opportunity to continue caring your torch. I'm not afraid to say that my dream was to become the director one day and carry your legacy, with that line of thought and knowledge. This longer version is one of the trophies we carry. Time runs fast! Once more, thank you so much for all you did and still do. 🙏
Sadly, the Aquarium lost all of those old large giant clams. They were the oldest and largest in any aquarium in the world at the time. The last big one was nearly 50 years old when it died.
@@Exallias1 Such a bummer, I think they usually pass away in captivity due to some bacterial or viral infection. One of my crocea’s I have had for 4 years died a week or two ago, it had a little pinched mantle and the next two days, it was just empty shell when I checked on it. So sad.
@@BIG-ES- who knows why they died at the Waikiki Aquarium after so many decades, but they have had significant turn-over of employees taking care of those animals.

Great time, great people (including you !) and great to reminisce about that "golden era" when we all accomplished good things
