    The way you draw the muscles on the body is an excellent method to show the muscles live in action.

    Thanks a lot. You illustrate it with a drawing which is very helpful for understanding and advise to apply heat. Very smart

    Hi Neil. Many thanks for this stretch. I find it much more effective than the usual recommended head to armpit stretch. Could you indicate how many repetitions each session and how many times a day I can perform the stretch please.

    When I do this stretch is causes extreme flare up of my pain/headache I have from my neck and shoulder pain. Why is this? And how can I fix it?

    • @aikiuke
      @aikiuke 4 года назад

      I've had similar issues and icing or heating the area for 15 mins or so seems to help me.

    I did this stretch but I went too deep and got a sharp pain lower in my back which has been there for the last few hours, like a few inches below my armpit and a about 5 inches in towards my body, any idea which muscle or ligament I could have pulled?

    is better to use hot pack or cool pack?

    • @Ex0rz
      @Ex0rz 6 лет назад

      Depends. Cold is better 99,9% of the time. Pretty much 100% of the time actually. If you have an inflammation, then cold is 200% better. Even if you dont have one, cold still increases bloodflow in the muscles.

    • @9929kingfish
      @9929kingfish 5 лет назад +1

      Ex0rz really? I thought heat increases blood flow because of vasodilation as opposed to decrease in blood flow from vasoconstriction with cold

    • @chirag7732
      @chirag7732 5 лет назад

      Obviously hot pack.....as it decrease the tightness and increasing the blood flow by vasodilation

    Never pull. Those muscles are very thin and sensitive.

    • @Nielasher
      @Nielasher  7 месяцев назад

      Absolutely, gentle stretches are key for sensitive areas like the levator scapulae. Thanks for the reminder! 🙌
