- Here is a newly available performance by Hayley Westenra singing Danny Boy to an Irish audience. From deep in the HWI archives, it was presented by our illustrious Tourist, edited and uploaded by Dave, subtitles added. Hayley sung a very slightly modified version of the original lyrics.
This is not HD video, it was upscaled from an SD camcorder to best preserve the separately recorded audio, captured from the audience on a high quality digital recorder.

Goodness... that's the best rendition of Danny boy I've ever heard! One of Hayleys best live performances too! So pristinely effortless, that golden tone.

Because there are people like me in the audience who are starting to lose their mental connections, even to songs we have personally sung. It helps us to (silently) sing along and keep a connection to a past that gets hazier every day. Does that answer your question?
