    Planning on this repair soon for my 07 GX470 but due to age and my being in there anyway, I’m replacing both exhaust manifolds and gaskets. Doing it while in the truck. I’ll have it tore down anyway doing wp and timing belt at the same time. Thanks for the video. It will come in handy. All I can suggest to everyone is be patient. That’s 15+ years of heat and rust to get through without breaking any bolts off. PATIENCE IS TOUR BEST FRIEND. 😁

      Yeah good idea to replace the manifolds as well. And I agree, patience. These vehicles are so reliable that by the time they need fixing they've basically fused together into one piece.

    This could not have come out at a perfect time! Thank you so much I’ve been looking for a video so I can do it myself. I really appreciate the time you took to make this video!

      Hey, I'm glad I could help. Hope the job goes well. Just be patient and make sure to have a mirror handy for finding some of those nuts and bolts.

      @@aiyogarageI own a 2006 Lexus LX470. I think I have issues with my exaust manifolds. The question now, is only the gasket bad or should I replace the whole set. MAHLE gasket set is about $60. The Lexus OE gasket set cost over $120. I only find the manifold set at Lexus dealer $700. Should I buy only the gasket? Thank you

      @@rhoodj I would buy the manifold as well. I tried only doing the gasket to save this customer money, but it ended up needing the manifold as well. Thanks for watching I hope that helps.

    Thanks for this video. Im doing this job right now in my garage on the passenger side. Its still a motherfker. I highly recommend a set of wobble socket extensions to help get more flexibility. Also, a nice set of impact ujoints. With these items, was able to get an impact gun on every bolt. Use lots of Penetrating oil and heat first.

    Man this is more relaxing than an ASMR video. I don't even have this car or this issue with my car. I'm just watching this and feeling relaxed as all get out

    Hey question how do I know or could i find out if its a manifold gasket leak or a manifold crack

    • @aiyogarage
      @aiyogarage  7 месяцев назад

      You won’t know without inspecting it. It probably isn’t cracked, probably just warped. But I would recommend replacing it with the gasket. Hope that helps

    Hello am going to do mine tomorrow getting a hard time to get the screw part number do anyone know will appreciate

    • @aiyogarage
      @aiyogarage  2 года назад

      Hey I can't find the part number I used in the video. I believe I got mine from auto zone. But it is a stud and nut style. If you look online you're see a kit that comes with springs; those are for the exhaust connections, not for the manifold. Hope that helps
