I wish I went but I was only 7! Limp Bizkit was one of my first favorite bands and I've seen them four times, but I would love to see them in a festival setting. Every generation deserves to have their own Woodstock!
I was there too brother. And I agree with you 100% on limp bizkit. They got shafted with the blame for everything that went down at woodstock 99 and I believe it messed there music career future up. And it was not there fault .. just like you said they played sat .... Sunday evening is when the chaos started and it was over high prices. Everyone had enough.
I've watched both of these videos now. You sound very level headed and respectful. Thank you for your story and me and my husband appreciated you snapping the glow stick what a moment
the prices are crazy to fathom. i’m only 21 but recently went to one of the biggest festivals in my home state Oklahoma, Rocklahoma was it and they still had water bottles that were cold at $1 a piece. even in 2022, amidst all the COVID stuff they still found a way. and of course free water that wasn’t the coldest but after seeing those prices in person, it’s nuts to imagine them even trying that in 1999. some of the food was outrageously priced but we brought sandwich stuff and made hamburgers one day. it’s such an awesome experience though, seeing you talk about collective soul playing shine while just hanging out in the tent is a very relatable feeling.
What a good story man. I’ve always been fascinated with Woodstock 99
I was only 12 during Woodstock 99, but this was right around when I seriously got into music. Me and my buddies had a rock band, and I absolutely loved Korn, LB, Offspring and Kid Rock 🤘
I was a mere 2 months old when this amazing event was going on but watching all these documentaries and sets from that weekend makes me nostalgic in a weird way. I sure loved listening to your experience!!
Just binged watched the Woodstock 99 docs and I came here to check out the fan memories. Yours is the best. Can’t imagine dealing with that heat and the smells, but what an experience
I could listen to your stories of Woodstock '99 allll day long! I was 16 at the time and if I wasn't in the UK I'd have moved heaven and earth to be there! Subscribed and hope to hear more stories, thanks for sharing ✌🏻
Fantastic video. After having watched the documentary, it's fascinating to see Woodstock through the eyes of someone in the crowd. What a story.
I was not at Woodstock ‘99, I’ve just seen the videos and listened to the stories. I have thoroughly enjoyed your account of being there.
Hey man I loved your stories and this video, I'm 19 and I would do anything to go back in time and go to Woodstock 99. Seemed like an amazing time even though there were a few negative things that happened. I subscribed and would love to hear more about the festival!
Thank you for sharing your story. Very interesting and you know it was a good concert when people are looking up footage and personal experience stories. 🎉
I love these videos, you should do more 90s concert retrospectives I would love to hear about more shows you saw.
Thanks so much for sharing!! Very cool to hear a personal experience, I love how you tell stories and explain things! It'd be cool to hear about your other concerts you went to in the 90s!
just hearing you talk about this is taking me back to that weekend ,good video man and hope to hear more about Woodstock '99!🤘🖤❤️
just finished the documentary and watched both of your videos! i lovedd them
Kid Rock did indeed play after the Tragically Hip performance. Alanis Morrissette played just before Limp Bizkit. Awesome videos man!
I absolutely loved hearing your stories man! I was only 11 at the time and I remember seeing some stories on the news painting the whole event in a pretty bad light. I feel the Netflix documentary did that too. While there were some negative things as you mentioned... Damn what an experience it must've been! Your Collective Soul moment sounded epic. If I could turn back time and if I was a bit older at the time, I'd be there in an instant. Even with knowing all the challenges. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Also great description man. Felt like I was there could visualise it all 🤘
