Rexes are weak, and there is definitely six dinos deadlier, gigas are slow and lots of dinos can survive a hit from them, but gigas have a bleed effect so there is a high chance the bleed will finish off some dinos, but you could rather easily escape them.
Thylacoleos are good if you can get a high level.
@@sheppin7178 allos get the same bleed effect, and what they lack in the giga's hp pool, they make up for in numbers and the fact that they're fairly quick
Gigas are not slow... Literally their walking Speed = Rex running Speed, if not faster... Gigas are the most Dangerous creature on Land.. end. (Remember they can damage stones structures )
I remember taming a 142 Spino with kibble I had saved up. Then I had to choose between the loooooong way around the mountain or a 2 min swim on the side of a cliff. Luckily my spino survived the jellyfish, but just barely.

When I was fresh faced and new to the game, a Therizino was stuck in a rock. Dumb ass me thought it was friendly cause when I first initially walked past, it didn't attack me. So I then approached it even closer to see WHAT it was (those claws dude) and it got unstuck and tore me to shreds.

I thought a carno was a iguanodon and when I went closer he started chasing me and my raptor, I got my other tames to kill it but it got my raptor to below half health and damaged my base a bit.

Dude I got spawn camped by a Therizinosaurus when I was like level 1-28 in single player until I got a decent crossbow with tranq and only then by sheer luck I was able to take it out of my spawn

Daniël Meijer during the day you need to pretty much run into them to aggro them or stand few meters away. During the night their aggro range gets quite big tho.
As a low lvl player on a beach I can remember that troodons were the biggest threat. Especially at night.

On the xbox one version of the game they're really annoying they pounce on you and it's one of those things where if they're on top of you then you can't move and they do a lot of damage to your health

@Seif Fadly I have had that happen and in the forest at night they are utterly terrifying (like their name suggests) especially if you have almost no light available.
I was going through a forest in offine multiplayer and I had gotten surprised by one that suddenly came out into view at night and I didn't even know what it was (I was just starting Ark and didn't know all the creatures yet) so it terrified me in the moment.

Megapiranhas are the worst thing for me. I lived in a peaceful waterfall near the swamp and the green obelisk. I’d tamed Megalodons and rode them through the river and back to my home, they’d bred and I now owned three Megalodons, that was until a crowd of Megapiranhas invaded. They took advantage of my young Megalodon that I’d named Waterfall. The Megapiranhas killed Waterfall. The parents began to rage at the Megapiranhas and attacked them fiercely. That’s when I decided that I needed to do something. I used the Megalodons to rid of all the things that posed a threat to me or my dinos, I made Behemoth Gates and gateways. Walls, every wall stacked and aligned to prevent any intruders from ever getting inside. Gates, shut tightly, only opened for welcoming friends inside that had brought land dinos with them. I made _sure_ my dinos and I would never be harmed in my walls again. And it’s worked ever since. I’ve never lost another Megalodon. And I won’t ever again.

There needs to be a cooldown after when eels and jellyfish stun you so you aren't perma locked in.

My personal favorite counter to the jelly fish is the baryonyx. The spin attack stuns them and makes them easy cleanup
Direwolves are my favorite and are hard to tame.
The wayi did it wasnt that hard i was with a friend so he got on my argentavis and picked one up allowing me to shoot it with tranqs (we dragged it away from its pack)
I tamed 6 direwolves at one time easy taming pen with ramp a flyer lead them to pen and stand on ramp hit em with tranc arrows then done

If I could only have three dinos in the game, a theri would be one of em. There are few things that phase me in pve when I've got a murder chicken tagging along. They'll calmly eviscerate a higher level rex, then let you hop on their back to clear a forest.

For the Therinzinarsauras, me an d my friend (both lvl 33) actually tamed a lvl 11 male therizino, we were scouting it out and we decided to come in contact, my friend died but head shot hom 5 times with treunq arrows then i one shot him, 30 min tame.

When I was a noob I killed the number one spot Dino well not killed, knocked one out and tamed one early in the morning with my bro watching. Knocking it out was easy it just took ages to tame

I can't understand why ppl like rexes outside of boss battles. Ok their stamina is shit, their turning is shit, their slow as fuck, they get stuck easily in trees. 10/10 times i would choose a Carno over it as a general mount.

Also they harvest far more meat and hide than a carno. And carno also has a trash stamina regen.
I'm not sure if rex got better stamina regen with tlc but it doesn't feel so slow anymore. It will burn out quick but it will be back in no time.

With the dire wolves, to tame one my pack and I just simply flew into the mountains, snatching one up with an Archie, then placing him in a small hut and hitting him with tranqs.
Speaking of Therizies one came and wiped out literally 90% of my tames earlier today when I was offline 😭😭😭
Yeah...Theros are really good. Not just for battle, but for harvesting stuff. One of the best overall dinos IMO. I was part of a tribe once that used these things almost exclusively for combat mounts. Each player would have a group of 4-6 set to follow a 'leader' and we'd run them slightly away from our bronto platforms for protection. (We were a primarily nomadic tribe). The amount of times PVPers would come at the brontos with rexes and yuties, only for 12-16 high-leveled theros to just flank and gank? it was honestly kind of hilarious. Rexes' huge size made them easier to flank and focus down. We had our own Yuties, but we kept them close to our main "base" (Our base was 5 brontos set to follow each other, and we had another 5 groups with their own convoy protection theros. We also had a few quetzs and argies, but those were primarily relegated to scouting and resource gathering.

After a few hours of starting Ark, random therizino wondered around my base. I had no clue, he did not look like a scary dino so just went with my basic bow and spears and attacked him.. boy was I in for some shit :DDDDD I had to safely move around him for the next 5 hours before I could make a taming pit to capture him. First big suprise in ark definitely.

Spinos are also great at getting biotoxin from cnidaria. Not sure if it's immune, but I'd assume it would be since it's very effective at collecting it.

The Tusoteuthis is immune to the cnidaria's stun (long term) and venom of their attacks. However the Tusoteuthis still can receive a 2 second from the cnidaria's very first shock and cancel out the Tusoteuthis' first attack, but the second attack will still go through despite they are still being stung by the jellyfish.
I once got knocked out by the same troodon twice after my friend killed its pack
I was expecting something like an alosaurus as number 1 or something like that.... they come in packs and they deal a lot of damage. Or megalosaurus they aren't that common but if one spots u during nightime your screwd they can grab you and trash you and they ignore your armor
Therizinos are pretty easy. I was at south zone 3, and I and an ankylosaurus from herbivore island. My ankylosaurus demolished the Therizino.
Therizinos r hard startin out but later on they r easy as a tree. Although dodo wood kill them at lvl 1

The very first time I got attacked by a pack of Troodons I was traveling with a Parasaur trying to tame my very first Raptor. I was using the Parasaur for it's sonar ability, and I fully expected it to die before I got back. I even named it "Fodder" as I was essentially going to use it for canon fodder while I would bola the Raptor. I ended up being jumped by Troodons while walking towards a Raptor in the distance, that Parasaur killed every single Troodon that was munching at my unconcious body, and even a couple Piranhas that were somehow hitting me even though I was only slightly in the water while unconcious. I still have no clue how he did it, maybe because all of the Dons were so thirsty for my succulent bodily juices that they didn't even consider fighting back my Parasaur, but regardless, I respected "Fodder" tremendously more after that moment. This all happened like 2 and a half weeks ago and I still have and protect that Parasaur with my life
the eurypterid is like the sea troodon,and they can swim around on land at viking bay in ragnarok

My dog had to be passed on (killed, kinda but with good intentions) because of a brain tumor which had caused it to lose 2 senses in 13 hours, which were sight and smell.
Also it could have gone to horrible things such as not being able to walk, and might have caused having to take it to the vet during the middle of the night, which is too much.
EDIT: it would have suffered.

Therizinosaurus needs a nerf, they're my favourite dinosaur to use, but still, especially for players that have just started.
Golden Starr theri is supposed to be almost as strong as rex.
Minus Won Well still, they're too strong for players who are just starting, especially if they don't know that they're territorial.
What they *could* do is make it slower, so people actually have a chance.
Golden Starr just don't get to close to them, ark is all about dying.

I definitely agree that Thylacoleos are extremely deadly. Unlike most animals there is almost no escaping them. You try to run, well those things are most likely faster than you. You try to climb onto a rock, well they can just climb up to kill you. You try to fly away, well they can get through every terrain until your mount is out of stamina. I honestly think it makes sense that they would be so powerful. Wild cats are one of the most evolutionary-perfected creatures on Earth. They are born to kill and they do it so beautifully efficiently it is almost like a blur. That’s why I’m terrified of Thylas and why I treat them with such respect when I see them and/or tame them.

Megapiranha? Those are only a threat if you're new or don't pay attention to your surroundings. The trick is to take a quick look and get out. Or throw a dodo in and swim away as they eat it.

The giga isn't that deadly. He only lives in high level area's like snow and mountain biome and can easily be seen from afar and avoided. In a fight they are a pain, but it is quite easy to avoid a fight with them.

I hate deathworms and troodons
President Snow Deathworms are rather easy once you have a good rock elemental, rex or a wyvern.
Also they can be easily avoided. Just use argentavis to get chitin or to discover ruins in the desert. Other than that only reason I see to venture there is to fight deathworms and then there's no reason to hate them.
