Thanks everyone for their patience with me, this was a big video to tackle and as a result there was so much footage I had to break this video up into 2 parts. I really hope you enjoy it and stay tuned for Part 2! Thank you for all your support!
Great video. Love it when someone measures the weight, balance point and joint diameter. If we just take it from the manufacture, they can just make up numbers and they will lose their integrity. Nicely made, quality control for manufacturers is very important. Thank you uploading.
In my experience, it's more rare to see the measurements be exactly what they say they are, very minor differences. I wanted to try and cover as much as possible with this comparison and that's why I had to break it up into 2 videos. Hopefully I can get the next one out in a couple of weeks. Thanks for watching!
It takes time to "unlearn" deflection. The deflection a cue has makes the largest difference over long distances. Like a 12ft corner to corner shot on a 9ft table. Low deflection is "more forgiving". I think the Revo may just take more time to adapt to. I remember when I switched to a Z2. It took awhile..... But it was worth it.
Vibration is bcz the revo has the lowest deflection it moves out of way of the cueball when you hit with max 3 tip english that is why! But i love the video you should look at the mezz ignite sounds just like wood when you hit the cue ball and it has low deflection as a revo. Thanks!
You are exactly right about the vibration which shows how much flex the shaft has which in turn generally means less deflection a shaft has. I want to an Ignite when I get my hands on one. The next shaft I plan on reviewing (because I have right now) is a Go Custom CF shaft. Hopefully I will be able to get that one out before too long. Glad you liked the video!
@@teewhitt I bought one from him about a month ago. I plan on reviewing it once I get back from my business trip in August. I agree, he is a great guy to work with.

I will probably have review before too long. I haven't been able to get my hands on it yet but I plan on it soon. Thanks for the comment and glad you liked the videos!
Awesome video! Gonna check out pt 2 next. I shoot with a Revo, and my buddy shoots with a Cynergy. I'm debating on selling my Revo and buying a Cynergy but I love my Revo!
Thanks I am glad you liked the video! The Revo has a lot going for it but I am just more comfortable with the Cynergy and Prime M. The main gripe I have with the Cynergy is it plays a little soft. Probably my favorite thing about the Revo is how effortless it is to move the ball around the table, the english transfers so effectively to the cue ball. The problem I has was with the slow cut shots, I just could not consistently get used to to it. Hope you like part 2 and thanks for watching!
Great video. I think you reviews are great. I would like to see more in depth reviews on your tips plus other ones you don't use on a regular basis. I use an Ultra Skin Ivory Medium on my carbon fiber and i like it a lot. Before that on my wooden shaft I used an Ultra Skin Black Medium. Just in case you wanted a place to start.
I do want to do some tip reviews but I want to get a lathe so I can change out tips myself first. I could do some of the tips I have installed right now though, I will see what I can do. I am glad you liked the video and thanks for the support!
Thanks, I am glad you liked it! The Becue does sound different, closer to wood than say the Revo. It's definitely different than the rest like how far back the balance point it. I didn't want to show any bias on what I prefer in the video because I wanted just show the comparisons but I do play with the Becue the most.
Great video. Thanks for making the effort! Just a thought.. it'd be great to hear your opinion on what does each test comparisons actually mean for a player's game performance. You could even talk about intangible pros vs cons about each of the tests, in case there are no real tangible differences. For instance, on the vibration test, does more vibration on the shaft translates to a better performance? I always thought less vibration would be better, and that higher end shafts would always have less vibration. However, after seeing the Revo vibrate the way it did, I'm not sure about that anymore. Anyway, if you can maybe get this type of information on a follow-up video (part 3 maybe?), I would definitely tune in. Thanks!
Thanks, glad you liked it! I wanted to comment more on the tests but the video was running long. I may comment more on the tests in part 2 if it doesn't run too long as well, a part 3 may be a better idea. Thanks for watching!
Fantastic review as always, would love to see the Pechauer Rouge compared to the Becue Prime M, as these r the 2 shafts I am considering. I talked to Steve at Pechauer Cues 2 days ago about possible fit of the Rouge on my J Flowers & Josey butts (really a nice guy) & told him how great ur reviews r & he said they were stacked but in a couple wks he might contact u to see if u would want to review there shaft?
Thanks. I appreciate reaching out for me but I am not looking at taking on more equipment until I can get some of the other equipment that I currently have right now. Unfortunately I don't have Rogue at the moment but I do plan to do one eventually.
Thank you, I am glad you like it! Testing that many shafts at once was really challenging and long. So long in fact that I had to break it out in 3 separate videos so it wasn't a crazy long video. Thanks for watching!

The Zans are really nice and they get a ton of action but I’m not as consistent with them as I am with a Kamui Black. Thanks for watching, glad you like the video! Stay tuned for part 2!
I haven't played with the 12.9 but in general, yes there is a bit of difference. I wouldn't call it a really big difference though, an 11.8 is a different story. Thanks for the comment and for watching!
Thanks for the comment. There are a lot of LD and CF shafts out there and it's going to take a lot of time and money if I were to do every shaft. I will look into the Lucasi and I will have to see about doing a review on it some time. Thanks for watching and I hope you liked the video!
I had the measurements on the video, however, I have the live recap video where I go over things more. It’s a long form video but around 21 minute mark I talk about my personal preference. Before that I talk about how other things went with the testing.
Great Video again. 👍 I bought a HXT LD Shaft to pimp up my 27 year old cue. It was like learning to play pool again. 😂 But i also have a question : The Revo shaft was vibrating like hell. Does that mean, this shaft is better than the others ? Really looking forward the second part of your video. Best regards & greetings from Germany
Thanks, I am glad you liked the video and it's nice to hear from Germany Pool Addicts! The Revo does a good bit of vibration and that can be due to the light foam front end mass it has. LD shafts are designed to have a lighter front end mass which gives them more flex. The Revo is known for how LD it actually is but that doesn't mean i's going to be better. The Revo is an excellent shaft, however, for me it's too much low deflection so it's not best suited for my game. The Revo has nice hit also which I really liked (great feedback). The HXT is a really good budget LD shaft and you get a lot for the price.
I do have shots with sounds in the part 2 video. The shot examples are at the end of the tests I did. I watched a lot of videos where they were doing a tap test like what I did and was trying to be as thorough as I could. I agree it doesn’t tell you much. Thanks for watching!
That's a digital caliper, not a micrometer. A micrometer is shaped like a C. Some sellers on Amazon will add the word micrometer to a caliper for advertising. They are different though. And you know tips can mushroom, so you should have measured across the end of the ferrule, not over the tip.

That's why now I try to script my dialog to keep me from doing that. Good catch and I can't believe I didn't catch it in editing either. I need to see if I can correct that in the video. As far as the way I used the caliper, I can't get the display to show on the camera if I were to do it across the ferrule like you're supposed to. I know at the time the tips were not mushroomed as far as could tell at that time. However, since this video, I have changed up my overhead camera angle thanks to the new table light and am able to do it correctly on camera. Thank you for the comment and I hope you liked the video overall!

@@PoolAddiction I LOVED THE MEUCCI I HAD THE 11.75 30 IN BUT ITS WOOD FILLED AROUND THE JOINT
I’ve been told that some of the Carbon fiber shafts out there have a wood center through all or some part of the shaft. To me, that’s not a true CF shaft. It’s more like a wood shaft disguising itself as a CF shaft. I wish had money to throw away and cut some of these shafts up to see how they’re made.
