I have a question. Why is it different toe side to heal side. There is no handle pass on the heal side one. Can you do the heal side version with a handle pass?
Hey JB, I'm thinking of switching to Hyperlite, for the next season, the Wishbone is on sale now at my local store, but I dont' have any experience with systems...which one do you use? I might stick with the regular boots tho...
Do you believe me if I told you that I can throw FS 360 but I keep failing my TS BS 180? :( I’m not sure whether I want to do the early handle pass. I was told by a great rider that what I want to focus on pushing on the handle for all my tricks so that I can “understand” how to properly execute spins / flips. I realized lately on my 360 that I can now throw it much later by having more tension in the rope and pushing on the handle to initiate the rotation more correctly. And I felt I have a much better control on how I throw the spin and especially how I stop it because prior to this, I would over rotate and end up board slide / almost 540. However, when trying to do the same thing with the TS BS 180, it’s much harder to push on the handle because of the tension, and I wanted to be sure whether I’m doing it correctly. Some people mentioned that backing off the edge is a bit cheating and that I should aim for a soft progressive edge on which I would use the tension to initiate the backside spin, and that learning that will unlock a shitload of tricks. It’s just much harder than expected :D
I mean if backing off your edge is cheating and passing early is cheating then that makes busty dunn and Yonel Cohen (the fastest spinners of all time) cheaters... In my opinion work smarter not harder. Here’s a clip of Yonel doing a toe back 10 off a fairly small kicker. instagram.com/p/B8wXw5FHjje/?igshid=v68r76n2b42k
Thanks for the tutorial - my plan is to add a rewind on top!

How different is it if trying to land blind? Would you still pull on the way up the kicker or wait till much later?

You can do the handle pass if you’d like
It’s not a whole lot different
So you can do heel side or toe side with or without handle pass?
if you aren't running summer camps/clinics around the country, you should be! Great explanations and Thanks
Thank you, I don’t run any camps

Regular boots are fine, I use lowbacks with murrays
