It's nice to see Ross and Rachel have a heart to heart about becoming parents. It was one of the best moments they shared post break up, and seeing Rachel leave once she sees Ross with Mona is just gut punching.
In my opinion it was few and far between. But I agree with you.
This is why I thought her feelings were valid when Ross went on a date with the baby store clerk. I didn’t like how she went about it, but Ross already proved through Mona that he couldn’t balance both lifestyles. He should’ve decided on his own to focus on Rachel, much like Rachel realized that she needed to put her life on hold.
@@lordalessan yeah, and to be fair she was literally about to pop when she said she didn't want Ross dating anyone and be there for her. She even knew she was being unreasonable, but, as Ross himself understood, she was allowed to be unreasonable because pregnancy is a lot and he understood she needed his presence at that time as she was carrying their baby. Earlier in her pregnancy Rachel never said anything against Mona, but as it got closer to her due date it's understandable she became more dependent on Ross as she was dealing with everything that comes with pregnancy.
Ross and Rachel really did make a beautiful couple. If only their relationship hadn't been so toxic.

Joey's heart to heart with Ross is not seen here but it should get a lot of credit. He may have been the stereotypical idiot but when it came to matters of the heart and family, he was the smartest of them all.

Not true actually, the stare is her feeling as if they just shared a moment. She actually goes after him to take him up on his offer of coffee, but she sees him talking to another girl and she is disappointed and leaves. She never thought of him as a backup, that door was always closed

It's beyond F'ed up to date while you're pregnant with another man's child. What man would want that? This is taking it too far. Terrible example for anybody.

The problem with this relationship is that it has always been what Rachel wants. They’re together only when Rachel wants, they’re broken up when Rachel wants. And everytime Ross is close to move on, Rachel either wants him or will not allow him to move on.
"They're together only when Rachel wants". Not true. Rachel wanted "ill-advised" solace sex after her father's heart attack and ROSS refused Rachel. Ross then told her that they shouldn't have sex again, like ever. And, when Rachel wanted to consider getting back together with Ross, his dalliance with the girl from the copy place(?) was a barrier because Ross CHOSE to cheat. Those are just two instances I can think of that disprove your "it's ALWAYS what Rachel wants" claim.

The thing about being a parent . Here’s an anecdote. I was born into a poor family . We didn’t have much money . Naturally I was malnourished as a baby. Someone visiting saw me and felt sorry and gave Dad some money to go buy me some baby formula. Dad wanted to save up that extra money to buy me more . So instead of taking public transportation, he biked back and forth to get me rhay baby formula. It’s been 2 years since he’s gone. Not a day goes by when I don’t think of him and every time I flirt with the idea of wanting to end it all , not because I don’t love my life ( I love my life ) but only so to see him again , even if it will be for a mere 5 seconds. My heart fills up like a balloon just writing this .

Ross may flip out a lot, but he has a point here. I'd find it hard to understand a pregnant woman who keeps going on dates with random guys, especially considering the fact that the father is alive, healthy and by her side.
So Ross can date but Rachel can't if they are not living together and not in a relationship what's the issue.
@@schewitt1977 If we put aside the fact that this is comedy, and regard it as a real-life situation, it quickly becomes apparent how absurd it is. Unlike the fallacy that Hollywood is trying to spread, most men out there are actually not thrilled at the idea of raising somebody else's child. So Rachel putting herself out on the market while pregnant, instead of patching things up with the one man who would actually be a good father to her child, is pretty damn reckless, illogical and cruel.
