That square drivetrain as far as I understand was an April's fools joke and this is the second video I see that takes it seriously.
The world does not need people going 37 mph on electric bikes.
This lock does not leave a single chance for criminals. Lockpickinglawyer: heavy breathing
Have saddle springs been away for so long that they get "invented" again?
I guess im older than I think...
Ha! I was going to post the same thing.. saddles used to have springs. My first bicycle without any was the racing bicycle I bought when I was 13. When that's said, unless I'm riding on cobble stones I don't feel the need. I just lift slightly if I'm crossing something bumpy. As I was a tractor driver for many years I don't for a second buy the comparison to driving a tractor.
@@tohaason Bikes still have saddle springs, in fact I have a bike with saddle that has cushioning and springs - pretty comfy. It is my impression, that in some parts of the world people have forgot how a "normal bicycle" looks like, that it is not just sport or mountain bikes. Anyone who lives in Netherlands or Denmark for example would be very surprised to see this as a new "invention", as they are mostly standard equipment for a bicycle.
Actually, when the wheel was first invented it was square. It was back nearly to caveman times. But, of course, it had a problem as it turned going bump ... bump ... bump ... bump ... ... ... bump ... bump ... bump ... bump ... and so forth. So, then the first improvement to the wheel was made. It was turned into a triangle. Eliminated one of the bumps.
That seat spring looks really interesting and Im gonna look into getting me one of them for my 2 bikes! Awesome idea(s) and TY for bringing it to my / our attention!
Always enjoy watching your videos
The ebikes with a crank based motor, Bosche and Yamaha for example, are easily upgraded with a few cable ties and some tape. They get their speed from the magnet on the wheel and sensor on the frame and measuring the cadence. However, moving the magnet to the pedal arm with some tape and inverting the sensor so it faces the new magnet position means the cadence will now be far far slower and therefore convinces the speed electronics that you're going slower than you actually are. The motor will keep supplying juice up to your ability to keep pedalling via your gear ratio. And yes, I have done this to my own Yamaha bike. The obvious downside is the motor, now producing more power eats through your battery capacity, so unless you have a decent sized battery it's probably not worth the speed improvement.
Also, it might be an illegal modification. E-bikes are limited to a certain speed so that they aren't classified as motorcycles, requiring a motorcycle driver's license, etc. It depends on your local rules.
It might get a bit dicey to juice up a bicycle whose tires and brakes aren't designed for such speeds.
@@spoonido Any bicycle must be designed to handle going downhill, where you can easily go much much faster.
When that's said, disabling the limit makes the bicycle illegal to use in most of EU at least, and around here you'll occasionally get checked by police. So a change which cannot be easily completely removed when going back on a public road make create problems. And other issues.
The Quadrant ring was an April's Fools joke! DOH!
Like that seat suspension bracket!
You all have to understand that you only buy shapes, not another type of technology in the field of mechanics. These exterior or interior shapes you call them design, but the mechanical technique, you also use the one that was conceived 150 years ago, only with small innovative transformations.
I'm a competitive endurance cyclist and I love watching your cycling videos. I don't think I'll ever use these products, but they might be fun to use in parades and such.
I have to disagree, I’m a competitive masturbater and I can see myself using them a lot
The seat isn’t a shock absorber it’s a spring. Shock absorbers have dampening. There is no dampening there.
Great videos and comments guys, here, have my like
Interesting stuff, if for nothing other than the ideas.
I've watched quite a few of theTechZone videos and have to ask; Being that most of the inventions featured come from countries who use the metric system, and the entire world (less a few countries) use the metric system, why are all the measurements and capacities given in feet, gallons and ounces?
Maybe put up a super of the metric equivalent when these are mentioned.
Thanks,.
Finally a shock absorbing bike seat! Always thought it was rediculous how they didnt exist. It shoulda been common sense. 🤷♀️
It's NOT a " ba-tree". It's a " ba-TTerY "
Thousand dollars for a portable battery? I can buy the whole electric bike for that
That’s what i said
That's a terrible start to a video, neat concept.... For only 15 miles an hour....
Not some if the ones I've seen, most Nice electric bikes are closer to 5 grand than 1. I get what you're saying though, compared to that bike sure, but put that device on someones already 4 grand mountain bike and I think its worth it.
@@chimmeychonga8987 or you buy an ebike conversion kit from aliexpress for less than 1k but also get a 700W motor ;)
You can buy a motorbike for that...
Am I the only one that thought it was outrageous to hear that mentioned in the second topic about "speed box 3.0" at 1:20 they state it lets you bypass the speed limiter so you can go "37 miles per hour".... on a bicycle!!?😳 😮
Wow. This did not go as I expected
Lol. That drifter bike at 3:52 can be made cheaply on any bike by just have a spiked weel in front and a normal rear weel. Doesn't have to be expensive weels at all 😉
}
Those who have lots of money and don't know what to do can buy these
great start. a thousand dollars for a portable battery. whilst a thousand dollars here in phils can buy you an electric passenger trike.
Seriously??? A 34$ for the best bike seat suspension? IT'S A BARGAIN!..... Oh wait!!!!! 35$ for a piece of wire?!?!?! 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Imagine that linka lock glitches and engages while riding lol
Lol a chip that over rides a factory setting. The world needs more organ donors.
The “suspension” seat would be horrendous, the variance in distance from pedals on every bump eughhh.
3:40 wow I'm so glad that you can get a $10 discount if you get both wheels! Lol for $300 for the front and $290 for the back haha
at 0:30 that was the princip of the Vélosolex it showed up 1946 in France so not such a brand new invention. Back then they used a 49 cm³ 2 stroke engine.
Велодрифтер з передніми шипами-найкрутіший,тупо кайфує на сракопаді)
Imagine spending $1000 on a small electric motor when you can get a well kept Civic for the same money.
Lol yeah I don’t think so
I’m betting civics are going up faster than rents. Auto incorrect.
I don't think you've bought a used car since 1997.
@@robneff7084 The only Civics worth driving are from the 90's my dude.
Or 2x toyota yaris 😅
Very nice...... 👌👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍
Jesus is the only way humbly ask him he will answer you
Seriously you managed to miss the fact that the square chain ring is a april fools joke from 2018
Loopwheels is an interesting concept, but @ $600 for the set, you might as well get a new bike.
Interesting concepts, the square front chain wheel, was most interesting, however, it appears that the real cluster was modified to make up for only one front gear, I gather the square design made it unsuitable for using multiple front gears shifting…
The best way to improve a bike is to make it lighter - which means virtually nothing extra is ever going to help. I'd buy a gadget to stop ASDA carrierbags swinging into the front wheel though.
The prices mentioned are for people who have a lot of money and don't care about 'product value for money' aspects.
גאוני
That's not called a chain ring. It's called a sprocket
:"Chain ring" is a common term used in the bicycle industry and among cyclists (I once raced bicycles). It refers to the front sprocket(s).
Bike more different more incribly more incrible others ❗❗❗♥♥♥🌟🌟🌟
It would be cool if you can recharge your battery by using your bike.
In California if your e-bike can exceed 20 MPH you are required to register the bike, have a license and license plate. So using a chip to exceed the built in speed limiter is probably going to get you a ticket if caught. Basically modifying your e-bike in this way will move it into the same category as a motorcycle.
Doubt anyones gonna inspect the bike for a chip unless ur literally racing infront of police or your really stupid
Some unique ideas,js.
Lol, that’s a good one
leaf springs outside the wheel
right about now, like the song says
if you promote or brag about something, dont think any other will believe in you
smile, you are in candid camera
why are you smiling with a such a face, pretending to be very nice
appearances, right
I have one similar to #2 on my ebike. I bought it because I wanted to move my seat back farther. The shock absorbing action is an added perk. It's a little bouncy but it's not a deal breaker.
those loopwheels have been around for almost 10 years the only snag with them is they weigh quite a bit almost 2kg per wheel and the wheelchair versions cost over $600 each wheel and thats without tyres
To it's credit, the loopwheels do work and provide one of the best rides that I have ever been on, the smoothness will spoil you. How do I know this? because I have one, unfortunatly it sits quitely in my basement because the bike wheels seem to have a flaw with the carbon fiber loops and the mounting system to the rim, it fractures apart after about six months, however, the kind folks at Jelly Products did replace my wheels after the inital failure and they do still sell them for wheelchairs, however it looks like they are using different materials and mounting hardware for those. Shame... 😭😭😭
Logically, like all suspension on bikes, they will increase the energy expenditure required to move the bike forward. I guess that's not an issue for everyone but if you rely on your bike a lot and live in an area with plenty of hills I think you would regret it.
Trenux, the folding bike trailer, is nothing but vaporware. There are multiple crowdfunding pages, and the "official page" does not exist. Would be nice if it did exist, but you really need to research the products you present before you make a video advertising them.
Well.... the title is Bicycle inventions you haven't seen yet. So they're not lying...
Bike chip tuning 🤣
The Polar Plugs seem…dubious. It’s got to generate enough heat to be felt through your grips, which are generally some sort of rubber or foam, materials that are pretty good thermal insulators. But not so much heat that it starts to break down the grips. And in most cases the bars are aluminum, a really effective conductor, the rest of which are exposed to the air. So I would expect them to suck a lot of the heat out into the air, rather than into your hand, unless the bars were dangerously hot.
And they’re not going to do anything to protect your hands from windchill, so you still need gloves that at least block the wind. Not to mention brake levers can get _cold_ in winter.
Seems to me that if you want to be able to wear lighter gloves in winter, pogies are a more effective solution , and don’t require recharging.
They've had heated grips for motorcycles for years. Never had a problem with them, and they work pretty well. I imagine heated bicycle grips are a very similar technology.
7:18 where can I find this? Link says connection not private
If it aint broke why fix it! What's wrong with spokes and round wheels and seats that are comfortable and don't give you piles ; just asking!!
Where can I buy the bicycle seat
เจ๋ง
And you would have one bike. Instead, a portable will fit most any bike.
Looks like Polar Plugs were cancelled and everyone is asking where their refund is.
Your title is wrong. I have seen some of these.
Overriding the chip on an e-bike will more than likely void the warranty.
If the loop wheels are heavier then why are they "better" for folding bikes that get carried about or wheelchairs where the extra weight will cause the user to tire faster?
Last on isn't a bike so much as it is a maths exercise.
Void the warranty and possibly break the law. A powered bicycle that can go above a certain speed (depends on your locality) is considered a motorcycle, requiring extra lights, driver's license, etc.
Loop wheels might be better for comfort. Same reason mountain bikes and fat-tire bikes became popular for city use. Definitely not for efficiency.
0:30 Rubbee attachment to convert a standard blke into an EB electric bike. Detachable power unit. Brilliantl. Also check out the bike lock
You shut is costs 100,000 GYD and and battery costs 500 GYD
The chip which overrides the max speed is illegal. YOu wont be insured and your bike may be confiscated.
mooi
Thank - You . ( 2022 / June / 14 )
The speed Box is just stupid ! E Bikes can only reach 16 mph for a reason
Because they are only bought by idiots? I only use a bike to commute but I regularly hit 23mph on an ordinary push bike so why pay far more money but get less performance from it? In some places it isn't road safe not to be able to excede 16mph (try it on a busy roundabout).
Gravity !! Lol
Hay muy pocas cosas útiles y prácticas para los ciclistas. Futurista, sí. Práctico - no.
Yeah I would not mind trying some of these like the trailer if it did not cost $600.00
2:00
3:10 Good luck aligning those tube wheels.... what a joke.
Bikes this more showing more adaptation more advanced future more promiscuos 👑👑👑🔰🔰🔰
👍🏻😎
Loopwheels was cancelled.
At least for bicycles or mtb.
New sub ! Liked 🚀🚀😀🙏
At what point are square wheels actually useful, need special paths (that no one will ever install) just to ride it, that is just people with too much time on there hands
It's just a demonstration bike for a science museum or the like. Some things can just be cool, not practical.
@@robneff7084 ok, yeah I can see that
Price we're we get from
I'm a pretty sharp guy gear on the front if that works why not Square gears on the back wouldn't that be the same effect anybody correct me if I'm wrong it just seems like Common Sense throwing it out there for the public consensus
ha 485lbs... I bet most bike frames wont support that rider.
The prices on all of these products are incredibly overvalued. Only a moron would pay these prices.
These aren't high volume features. You pay more when they're made in a batch of 500 or 1,000 instead of 100K at a time. When they get competitors on Amazon or whatever, then the prices will go down, but not before.
rubbee $1000 to totally stop you using a bike to exercise on it, might aswell stay at home and eat crap
Does Incredible mean stupid?
Great vid as always. The very last bike is absolutely useless... Gimmick only.
but still interesting ... and like the title says, something I haven't seen before.

Looks interesting and has some useful applications, but... isn't bicycling supposed to be a form of recreation (sport) where you do it to be self-empowered and perform actual physical exercise (use your body)? It's like renting a segway to go mall shopping, i.e. just another way to become increasingly lazy and self-entitled. Just hope it has cup holders for your Starbucks Grande Frappuccino! Zzzzzzzz.....
everything is over priced and most are useless
Here in the U S we call it a allen wrench so speak proper English AH .
I'm an American and I knew instantly what he was talking about. Don't make us look like freaking a-holes.
ARE THE BIKE FOR PEOPLE FROM FIRST WORLD 🌎 WHO DO NOT HAVE A MONEY TO BUY A OLD CAR 🚗???
Sometimes bikes are the better choice even if you have a car. I have a car and motorcycle, rode 500+ miles on my bicycle this month. 🤷🏿♂️
They’re for people who: like to get exercise, have had their license suspended, have a medical condition that prevents them from driving a car, are too young to drive, students who aren’t rich but need to get around while in school, or for people who to prevent pollution, or would just rather no spend the money on a car.
Wow, let’s just imagine the halfwits riding their chipped bikes on pavement and footpath. Accidents waiting to happen…….
