    In your would have example
You wrote: If I were you, I wouldn't have quit my job before I found a new position.
The more correct one: If I were you, I wouldn’t have quit my job before I had found a new position.
Reason: It emphasizes the completion of finding a new position before quitting the job, which is often the intended meaning in this type of sentence.

Hi. Thank you so much. I have an important exam next month. I can't explain these sentences with your argument. Please explain for me the reason we use would have p.p in the sentences.
They can simulate how certain words would have sounded when they were spoken 8000 years ago.
When we listen to speech, wecan be led to think thoughts that have never been thought before and that never would have occured to us on our own.

"If i were you, i wouldn't quit my job" and "if i were you , i wouldn't have quit my job" what is the difference in these two sentences?
1st one means future, and 2nd means past? Am I right?
