Like Hitlers suicide is childishly bad. the movie is from 1972 but the acting and the deaths are like from a 50's soviet movie. It has nice uniforms ands some great scenerys. I'ms ure the government gave the production tons of money and locations to film, but man... I don't know what vital points are you talking about. This movie implies Hitler killed Eva Braun and then Lange had to kill him. it's like a freakin cartoon. No witness in the bunker said anything like this.

While not having the scale of Liberation, Long Day's Dying from 1968, Paths of Glory from 1957 or The Train from 1964 are all very serious and certainly not romanticising crap like some other western war movies of the 60s-70s. The Longest Day from 1962 would also qualify.
Probably the closest counterpart to Liberation is A Bridge Too Far from 1977 that is, quite frankly, not that different; apart from being a much better done movie. The thing is, Liberation series is not really even the best Soviet war movie(s) - it just is the best of the "epic" ones. It does not really have that much weight, really. The Ascent (Voskhozhdenie) from 1977 or The Dawns Here Are Quiet (A zori zdes tikhie) from 1972 are much better at relaying the message that the war is indeed terrible and actually having interesting characters.

"Mass rape of German women". The funny thing about Western statistic is , the number of victim was calculated by 10-100 times the "birth rate of Russo-German hybrid" . So ridiculous. I just wanna say, yes, the "mass rape" is true, but the number of victim is not hundred of thousands or even millions like how Western media said. I believe that Russian young soldier didn't wanna rape a baby or a 80 years old woman. And there isn't any order from the Soviet High Command to force soldier to rape.

Especially for clinical idiots - the Warsaw revolt was originally planned in such a way as to liberate Warsaw BEFORE the arrival of Soviet troops. To create a legal / propaganda fact that Poland has a functioning government, and it was not liberated by the Soviet side, but liberated itself. The uprising was planned so badly (there are good analyzes) that it could not be successful at all, but the planners purposefully went for the mass destruction of their accomplices, that is, they simply sacrificed these lives for their political ambitions. Subsequently, they blamed the Soviet side. ( indeed, they shouldn't admit to their own crimes ) : )))) And Western idiots quite seriously believe in it. Although it is not difficult to check - the Soviet troops encountered fresh German reserves that had just arrived, and got bogged down in battle with them. Idiots "forget" that the Soviet offensive had already lasted a week by that time, the advance was 200-400 or more kilometers in different sectors and the supply lines were greatly stretched.
As for mass rapes - I congratulate you, because it was you who showed your idiocy. It has long been well known how these figures were "calculated". ))) But cave idiots don't even know their own sources. )))
Congratulations, Goebbels and his modern day friends have shit in your head. )))

Nicely done - incredible how uncannily similar they have created the looks of Hitler, Stalin, Roosevelt, Churchill, Goebbels and Himmler. Loved the attention to detail - when signing the wedding register 37:53, Eva is shown scratching her writing (she had to scratch out "B" in her surname and write "Hitler").
Very faithful rendition with one exception - showing Hitler too cowardly to shoot himself 44:40 and Linge having to go in to do the deed. I guess that proved too difficult to resist especially when the viewership was a populace that suffered 20M+ casualties just 25 or so years before the movie came out.

About Fritz Diez, the actor who plays Hitler: he was a KPD member, was a victim of the Gestapo already in 1933, right after the Reichstag fire and fled to Switzerland. However, apart from managing the Volksbühne and directing and performing a great number of plays, he also was the actor of choice if they needed a Hitler character. He said about this that the Hitler role was an ungrateful one that pursued him throughout his life. Apparently he didn't want the role in Liberation, because he feared typecasting, but the party forced the engagement on him

I think one of the thousand lessons we can learn from all this is that there's a right time to give up! Just think how much better off they ALL could have been if they hadn't STARTED the war! People would be living on Mars by now, I often say.

This war had to erupt, it's not only Nazi's fault, but in fact mostly France's, one cannot put reparations on another at the scale and weight that French did on Germany. It caused pauperisation of the nation and poverty, then in 1929 Great Depression hit, killing what left of industry. In circumstances like this, radicalisation is just a matter of time. Look deeper and wider, if you want to understand processes in nations, countries or societies. It's never flat, one dimensional problem and it takes time to develop.

The Danish-Prussian war of 1864 was not Denmark's idea.
The Franco-Russian war of about 1870 was Prussia's idea.
During the sane times after that, Germany formed from Prussia and others and behaved relatively well for a young state.
WWI with Germany attacking France was Germany's idea.
France was building a world-wide Empire at the same time, much like Britain, Germany and others.
To start a war, lose it and pay reparations are the normal run of affairs for aggressors.
