Despite the potential Danger, to Patrick. It still is 100% hilarious, to see how comfortable these bears are, on your patio. It is like some comedy. And, they just, come visit, like they belong. Scratching themselves Enjoying the view, licking up the birdseed and then, time to go....I swear at 2:17 that was a "thank you," or almost, "your the best" love tap. Stay safe Patrick. the fact that the mother simply gave a look at you first, then eat, with her cubs, in your presence.. then when leaving, no need to stare at you again. you are no threat, neither an annoyance to her. even better. you are a benefit for her familly. im just amazed there in my chair... i can feel total respect from both side. giving me hopes that , in the end, some are learning and evolving with their environments...
What a slice of heaven that place is Patrick! And the way the 3 of them all sashayed onto the porch with that air of ownership was a hoot! Little Milo is very clear about telling you he loves you... ❤🐻

I say this all the time to people. They think they can outmoded a bear. If your in the vicinity of any large predator and it doesn't attack you it chose to let you live bc as humans were pretty much fucked when it comes to animals like these if they decide they are hungry enough to eat us

What privilege to see bears and humans living in a cooperative relationship. While it looks simple, I suspect it has taken Patrick a long time to gain the multigenerational acceptance in the world of bears, never forgetting they are "wild animals" not domesticated pets. Thank you Patrick for sharing your porch.

Well black bears are pretty friendly. If this were any type of brown bear this situation would be way different most likely.

bears are so gentle and wonderful , but think that for their safety and well-being it is better that they do not come into contact with humans in this way and that they learn to be wary of him. As you say, maybe the neighbors are much less kind than the gentleman and the bears ...

One year passed and those small cute bears turned nearly size of her mother.
Somebody has grown up.. standing on the railing for tiny bits of seeds/peanuts leavings... so cute, Milo!!!

how beutiful.. considering it is capable of tearin the door of it hinges and shredding things, instead it is increadibly peacful and gentle… and thanks for topping up your bird feeder. it may only be a small amount to them but i am sure they appreciate it…just lovely.

You don't need me or anyone else to tell you how lucky you are; but you really are blessed to have this as a regular experience in your life. I get excited when a new, but not necessarily rare, bird comes to my garden. Bears have been extinct in the UK since the middle ages!

I think I agree. Animals mostly experience the world with their mouths bc they don't have hands (or prehensile trunks etc.) so the mouthing was to place the man in some sort of bear framework of things.

Always love seeing Simone and her yearlings. She's a good mama bear, teaching her cubs well. And they'll have each other when the time comes to separate and strike out on their own. In the meantime, we get to enjoy another summer of your wonderful videos.
