I am sorry for the loss of your friend, Nathan. When I hear of young men taking their own lives, I have to wonder if he may have been dealing with feelings that he may have been gay. It happens a lot. In an obvious religious family, there must have been pressure on him not to be gay. Again, my condolences for the loss of your friend.

My 16 ye old son died by suicide recently and I tell you there is no denying the void of a life that should still be there. It might just feel like others don’t care. And that feeling can change. Get to a psychiatrist and then counselor they recommend that are established and good. If you really have parents that don’t care there is a whole life for after high school where you make your own path. Perspectives change. I never knew a person could hurt as bad as I do from loosing my son.

That’s insane, I understand if they didn’t recognize your brain was bleeding since it’s internal, hard to tell, but the concussion part is very noticeable, they’d have to deliberately ignore something is wrong for that.
Idk your age, but I self-medicate with weed (legally) and that helps me. I used to be on Zoloft, an anti-depressant, that also helped. I know medication isn’t for everyone, but if ever you’ve decided that you’re going to take your own life, why not just stay here a tiny bit longer (in the grand scheme of things) to see if anti-depressants can help you.

@@user-sf9gs2pg1bWe had stuff like this in my family too, where major issues would get ignored or blamed on you. One time my youngest brother fell out of a tree and was very obviously concussed and he just recovered by laying down at home and that was it. I've had about 1-4 head injuries too, including being knocked unconscious, but they were probably less severe, but I didn't talk about getting knocked out for years because I thought my parents would scoff and say I was making it up. When I was 5-8 my parents would get mad at me for getting swollen and almost puking every time they'd force me to eat stuff I was allergic to, and a couple of times it took 3-6 months for us to get taken to a doctor for major health issues that wouldn't go away on their own, like multiple simultaneous bacterial infections or long-term untreated asthma leading to hypoxemia. My mom couldn't understand why I was a clean freak and OCD about germs for so many years because she and my dad were adults with money and a car so they could go to a doctor and get help any time they wanted but as an invisible and isolated kid, I had to wait for a parent to feel like helping me and since we didn't go to school, it's not like a school nurse could've told our parents to help us.

As a Parent... You should talk with your daughter, and be there for your daughter. One thing I notice in all of these videos is that it seems like the parents really were never involved and just not there when the children needed it, or weren't there for the children to confide in.
I had abusive parents who I never trusted or could confide in, I tried hard towards the end to confide in my father, but he would just counter with all the bad he's had in his life and saying how everyone else has it bad too.`
It's crazy to me, seeing all these kids who have fun and actually have a life... Who are so depressed that they take it.

Do NOT medicate your child. It's probably the best thing you can do. I was medicated and it made everything SO much worse, not to mention it was incredibly hard to get off the pills when I was 17.
I'm 25 now and have had to deal with my trauma and issues by myself & with the help of my husband.
Look into a functional doctor who can test their blood and address nutrient deficiencies as well as gut health (regular psychiatrists & MD are idiots... I speak from firsthand experience & experience of others). Neuro feedback, EMDR, and CBT can be immensely helpful treatments. Address any generational trauma that plagues your family. Lastly, get them off the internet as much as possible...it made my mental health deteoriate quickly.
      Best of luck.

@@AlvinKazuI think it's more complicated than that. I have good parents, especially my mum, but I do not feel/want to confide in them when it comes to certain mental health issues. Anxiety is ok because I don't see stigma over it, but with more serious issues I don't talk to them about it at all because although I know they likely won't judge me, it's still scary confiding in the fact that you have had mood swings before & gone completely off the rails. I believe some of it's partly societal too.

I started suffering from depression and mental health problems as a young teenager. It seemed to happen overnight. I remember trying to explain the thoughts to people who would say, “What are you depressed about?” Anyone who has been clinically depressed knows it feels more like possession than sadness. (IMO) Depression is terrifying because these thoughts seem to be generated by someone or something else. Kids don’t end their lives because they’re upset about failing a test. It’s as though the brain turns on itself and you’re not able to think rationally. I’m 52 now and after years of drug and alcohol addiction and therapy I’m sober and in a much better place. You can learn to live with this only when you can learn to love yourself. That’s easier said than done but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. My heart goes out to anyone struggling with depression or any mental health problems. Especially parents who lose their child to this terrible affliction. ❤🙏

4 years ago, my 30 two-year-old daughter ended her life. The youngest of my 4 and I still don't believe it. It's still like a dream. I find it hard to face reality but I and our biggest regret. I shouldn't say the biggest regret, I guess. Her and maybe her husband's biggest regrets would be that they didn't say anything to me or theirecipients so it came as such a shock because we were an adult expected. Anything like we were told on March 25th 20 I have a hard time believing suicide is preventable. I truly believe that if someone wants to do it. Especially if there are adults like my daughter was who did a lot of research on it for months in advance. She had a plant she literally saw us through the whole holidays in 2019 and still had it played before him, and hers was not the face of depression. I don't know the pain she hadn't sighed. I couldn't eat that guestimate the pain. It just doesn't ever makes sense and would never will

@@watch-Dominion-2018His son was taught to hide his emotions from his parents from a very early stage in his life and he kept the mask on. If he could rely on his own parents for true help and felt comfortable opening up to them, he wouldn't have done what he did. I know this sounds harsh but the blunt reality is, children are a product of their own environment and the trust he had in his own family wasn't there. I'm not saying we should play the blame game, as there's always factors involved we don't know, but if people actually did some deep unpacking of these situations, it's not hard to come up with these conclusions, especially if you've been through it yourself.

It's ok not to be ok ... That's what people may say ..but in the end they too just walk away and it's only their comment that's left there to stay ... What is depression they ask? ... Perhaps it's something that's happened to you in the past .. or perhaps you're worried about the future ? Usually it's here take this pill .. go to therapy .. everything will be ok ... You'll get through this too.. Don't worry they say .. but in the end they too just walk away .. they don't seem to understand that Some people feel like an outcast in this land .. full of people that just don't understand .... Just like this story about Nathan He was in the boy scouts and on the football team .. he had a great family n friends and his number was 42 .. he seemed to have everything but before everyone knew it his life was through .. but he suffered from depression.. and no one knew really how to help him.. or what to do ... and now they share this memory of him so that people may not soon forget what him and his family went through and perhaps prevent this terrifying event from happening to you ... His family Wonders why he wore that t shirt of a fallin angel but I know why that is and my answer is true every 30 seconds there's another fallin angel dying of suicide and this time Nathan that fallen angel you wore represented you 💜

Committing suicide is not enduring to the end (Matthew 24:13). It is not abiding in Christ (John 15:1-6). It is not continuing in His goodness (Romans 11:22). It is not holding fast the word (1 Corinthians 15:2). It is definitely being moved away from the hope of the gospel (Colossians 1:23). It is not holding fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end (Hebrews 3:6). It is not holding the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end (Hebrews 3:14). It is refusing and turning away from Him who speaks from heaven (Hebrews 12:25). And, it is not overcoming the world (1 John 5:4), but rather being overcome by the world and the devil (1 Peter 5:8). That doesn't happen to those "born of God."
We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. (1 John 5:18).
The above list of false teaching on suicide opens wide the door of death and Hades (Luke 16:19-31; Revelation 20:11-15) to those in despair.
Some might argue, "What about Samson? He committed suicide." Samson's "suicide" was actually an act of war, as he killed three thousand Philistines in his vengeance upon them (Judges 16:28-30). He died in his effort to kill others, as he said, "Let me die with the Philistines!" (Judges 16:30). It was not, as a typical suicide of our day, because of a lack of hope, or a deranged mind. He died with the Philistines to "take vengeance on the Philistines" for his two eyes (Judges 16:28). Plus, this was the only choice he had, to kill them as he did.
Typical suicidal people today are those who have no hope, and they are thus not in Christ (Ephesians 2:12; 1 Peter 1:3; 3:15), or they have been moved away from the hope of the gospel and are thus lost (Colossians 1:21-23). Those with deranged minds, or who "might have a mental breakdown," are those who do not have a sound mind and are therefore not in Christ (Isaiah 26:3; 2 Timothy 1:7). These people will end up in hell if they die in such a state. Such people are not saved.
On the cross and in His death, Jesus did not lose or forsake hope in God nor rebel against Him as those who commit suicide today do. Moreover, no man could or can do what Christ did, lay His life down of Himself (John 10:18; Ecclesiastes 8:8 “No one has power over the spirit to retain the spirit”). He also was murdered by men (Acts 7:52).
    Paul says,
if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, . . . (Colossians 1:23).
    Jesus said,
he who endures to the end shall be saved (Matthew 24:13).
God does not promise salvation to those who forsake Him (e.g. 1 Chronicles 28:9; John 15:1-6; Hebrews 10:26-31). Paul warns,
Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. (Rom 11:22 NKJ)
“Mental Illness” (as in the realm we are talking, suicide, self-destructive behavior) is a symptom of a “debased mind” (Romans 1:28). When someone is so utterly given over to wickedness, hopelessness, and rejection of Christ that they kill themselves (as masochistic behavior is noted as demonic in Scripture, Mark 5:2-5; Ephesians 5:29 “no one ever hated his own flesh”), such behavior reveals there is no faith in Christ. God has made Himself very clear: “the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God” (1 Corinthians 6:9-10), the “unbelieving” go to the lake of fire (Revelation 21:8). The Bible is not a lie.
