- A jig we learned recently with photos of Achill, Co. Mayo. We live about an hour's drive from Achill and run residential Irish Traditional Music Holidays. The holiday is tailored to each individual and combines morning instrumental tuition with a trip to a session at night. Afternoons are free to explore the beautiful surrounding area and various local visitor attractions. For more details please contact us at info.dulahan@gmail.com
If you are interested in learning any of our settings of tunes we play, we also give online lessons via Zoom. Please contact us for further details and pricing at info.dulahan@gmail.com Видеоклипы

Hi Sojnab 1, Thank you for the kind comment. Good wishes as ever to you from Joe snd Adele.
The banjo sounds amazing, but it takes away from the Irish/Scottish jig. The banjo is an African instrument, americanized by the slaves ( who performed the best soul, heartfelt music) in the south.
While that history of the banjo is accurate, the four-string tenor banjo has firmly placed itself in the realm of traditional Irish music instruments.
