I come back to this performance again and again, I love it so much. And I think this may be my favorite jig of them all as well. I first taught myself this tune on the mandolin about 6 years ago. I searched and searched on youtube through countless performances, both live at home and recorded, and this one just moves me like no other. I taught myself using me ears and eyes and this video and went so far as to try to translate a lot of the fiddle player's ornamentations to the mandolin as well. Though I must say, I have still never been able to manage to match your speed! You make it look like it's no big deal but playing this fast is no easy feat. Thank you for sharing this performance.

This is my favourite rendition. The open chords mix very well with the fiddle melancholic playing. I find the third theme particularly moving.
I thoroughly enjoyed that at a high level. Especially the phrased riffs at 1.40. felt my spirit fly

Superb. Just learned this on the sopranino recorder that most people think is a whistle.
