Just seen that there is actually a book by that name but it peddles the very same theology you guys are warning people about which is ironic but yeahhh, i still think its a fantastic idea.
Aljazeera did a report on the Kenya Branhamist cult a couple of days ago and it turns out some of them are still starving themselves even after their rescue. People left their families in the city to that forest without telling them where they’re going! Extremely sad.
I'm really glad he got 10 years of hard labor, i wish it would have been life without the possibility of parole!!! Why only 6 years? It didnt reform him, that for sure!!!
I was born and raised in this cult. My mother's parents lived at Shiloh as children and two of my great grandparents were buried there. It still survives to this day, in increasingly toothless form, but in my day it was certainly damaging enough. When I was still a part of this, I was taught and truly believed that the people who died of scurvy on the Coronet were heroes and martyrs. I was told that the people rebelled against God and his prophet when they decided to return to port. It wasn't until years after leaving the cult that I read a description of those events by someone unconnected, and it dawned on me that Sandford was simply trying to evade the law, and was willing to sacrifice his followers to the death if necessary. It seemed to obvious that I wondered that I had never realized it before, but that's what cults will do to you. I have family members who are still completely loyal, sadly. My grandparents died loyal as well. I'm not sure how I managed to break free, but I'm so glad I did. Or rather, continue to do, because I can still to this day find strange little lingering pockets of influence in my psyche that I have to try to root out like tumors. Like I said, even in its less powerful form, a sect like this can cause incredible damage, especially to the children who were raised under its thumb.
Wow, this is one of your best! You have really done a lot of research! Wonder why so many Elijahs had risen in so few years nearly at the same time? I have never been in a cult because I started at 7 yrs old in a Christian Church and even though they didn't teach much, between their crumbs and the old time radio preachers I listened to on the radio, I got enough to spot disaster! WMB was my dad's friend, but nothing I read in transcripts or especially tried to listen to ever made sense, so after 5 minutes I'd had all I could take. I'm very thankful for getting a good theological education from the right people and especially for the Word itself with the freedom to read it ourselves!
I did research on an old, old relative in TN, I found her up in Maine, of all places around 1902, then I found others in that line, they were extremely religious in-laws, never could undstand the Maine thing, this may be a clue. She returned but died within a year, said her obit. This line was methodist.
This is horrific! Those poor souls, especially the women and dear children 💔 These cults are truly demonic. These false prophets prosper on those who are not grounded in sound doctrine then and NOW. Read your Bible, friends. Do not be deceived.
Thanks for another great video. I love how you show that historically, WMB was nothing more than one in a long line of grafters and conmen claiming to be Elijah. Thats all he was, nothing more. They say the best conmen are the ones who believe their own cons? Did Dowie really believe in himself, did Branham? We'll probably never know for sure. But whether did or didn't believe their own lies, that doesn't change thee fact that they were liars who told .ies and ruined ma y people's lives and are responsible for many deaths.
That’s another thing about these cults. They will take up your whole time so the leader and his vision are the only things on your mind. They will spend your whole weekend on church activities. I know this charismatic church where the choir practices on Sunday evenings after church and sometimes practice will go on till midnight. What time are you going to get home and have some sleep before work in the morning?
Did He really see an Angel [Demon] or He was just a Fraud? I tilt towards the 2nd Option. Adding a Supernatural event to prove someone's ministry really worked magic back in the day.
The way this guy treated others, making his life pampered and easy, allowing those around him to suffer and die so he can be comfortable. It doesn’t seem a far cry from what the false teachers of today do with their prosperity preaching. 😢
Like many he is one from the pass some today think he & others were very special & very Godly how Deceived millions are today following the so called NAR etc built on the so called Gods Generals of the pass !
It's really shocking how much suffering pe will endure if they think it's what God wants them to do! What is it in the human psyche that the survival instinct is over ridden? I never suffered the way thoose people did, of course, but I was convinced that the suffering i went through during my time in the cult was what God's required of me. It's very hard to understand.
It makes me sad that so many reject the True Shepherd for these soulless psychopaths. The desperation to become part of something miraculous or special is a pit into hell. We should be eager to obey Christ and not some stranger claiming to be Elijah. Even the real Elijah is no one to follow.
I believe that AJ Tomlinson was influenced by Frank Sandford as well. Tomlinson who was a part of the Church of God (Cleveland, TN) before they kicked him out and he went to start what became the church of God of Prophecy and thus all their splinter groups as well.
AJ Tomlinson was baptized at Shiloh by Sandford. Tomlinson's son, Homer, also formed his own sect and announced himself "King of the World." He would carry around a folding chair which he claimed was the "Throne of David." You can't make this stuff up.
Anyone saying Jesus or an angel appeared to them and commissioned them to ministry avoid them more than COVID. It is satan as an angel of light. Majority of them their ends are always tragic or say that God said he will kill me or my family member if I don't obey. They missed Jesus awfully.
This is nothing new...even today, there are people that will follow what sounds good. Since time began, Satan has been good at what he does. We are at fault if we fall for untruths without consulting what God's word says and basically common sense.

Keep up the good work gentlemen!

I would love to read that!!
Absolutely!!!! I would buy it too
You’d think once someone said they were Elijah people would say ‘no your’re not’ and leave
I tell you!!!
you’re not your’re
Instead of "no, you're not," they should say, "You too?"

I’ve noticed a pattern with these men and women who start cults, they almost always see an angel. Is it possible they were on hallucinogens?
Satan as an angel of light. I have now learnt, anyone saying Jesus or an angel appeared to them and commissioned them to ministrti, run for your life.
