Hi Emily thank you for the video. I wonder if there is a frame kit that goes on the kayak for fishing gear / cup holder etc?

Emily, well it appears that we (novices) bought the NON-elite tandem Advanced frame tandem kayak. It never seems as if we have enough air in it. My wife and I each weigh around 175 pounds. The kayak rides very low in the water for the rear passenger and folds in the middlw when portaged. I'm using a Ryobi portable electric air pump to inflate it, and even when it says I have 3 lbs of pressure in both of the main chambers it doesn't ride well - seems under inflated. What to do? Thanks

Hi Richard, thank you for your comment. Are you in America? If so, you can actually get the drop-stitch floor for the Convertible Elite which will be a massive help! www.advancedelements.com/shop/accessories/backbone/the-rigidform-drop-stitch-floor/

High Emily, on Your web site on the CONVERTIBLE ELITE: AE1007-E You talk about aluminum rib-frame technology in the bow and stern. Please explain
Also in accessory there is the BackBone / multi-sectional keel beam.
What is the material and how do You install ? Is it used together with the drop stitch floor ?
Please also show the details of the arched deck riser aluminum stays when using a convertible deck and the details of the Honey Comb Rip Stop Fabric.
In general the material spec says 3 layers of Durable double-coated fabric for the hull.
Can You give more info about this material / fabric and how You maintain it and clean it ?
    THXs

Hello! Thank you so much for your in-depth and informative videos! I'm curious about footrests (footpegs?) in the Convertible Elite. Specifically, when it is set up for solo paddling with the seat in the middle position. Is there any kind of foot support to get a push off of for efficient paddling technique? Thanks!

Hi there! Check out our Foot Pegs video ruclips.net/video/RvyJrtOLMGA/видео.html
These have been designed for solo paddling in the Convertible. 🙂

The foot pegs are well worth it. You have to attach them in set-up and take down but they have buckle clips so no big deal. I find if you inflate your kayak first than install foot pegs. It has several notches for adjustment; twist flap, find the notch twist back to lock. There is a R (right) L (left) on flap. Find the middle sweet spot and then use a marker to mark one of end foot pegs so you know where to install the next time.

Emily - thank you for the video. I've been "shopping" for a kayak for 3 years, and this video finally got me to pull the trigger and get the Elite! I'm incredibly excited for it to arrive. Do you have any recommendations for foot rests for when paddling solo in it?

Also, with the drop-stitch floor in the elite, do you see any need whatsoever for the additional dura-floor assuming I'll be bringing a dog with me on some trips?

She never did answer your questions…what did you regarding the footrest in solo mode

Hi! Yup you can still add a drop-stitch floor to the Non-Elite.

I am a 184 cm tall guy. So what to choose between Frame, Elite or maybe Convertible?

    • @OzinflatablekayaksAu
      @OzinflatablekayaksAu  Год назад

This is tricky because people have different leg lengths, but generally speaking, your height will be fine in ANY of the AdvancedFrame kayaks. The "cut off" for the AdvancedFrame and the AdvancedFrame Sport kayaks is 6'2", and there really is no heigh limit for the AdvancedFrame Expedition Elite or the AdvancedFrame Convertible Elite. Cheers, Emily.

Very much appreciated, I am closer to 120 kilo but it looks like it will be very sturdy, Do you have any experience with the decks or spray skirts for this model?

    • @OzinflatablekayaksAu

Yes, I do. Are you thinking you will need the deck and skirt? Cheers, Emily.

@@OzinflatablekayaksAu I'm considering them, I live in an area where I have access to ocean waters and heard mixed things on the skirts. The main thing I heard is that the skirt pops off easily and that the one with shoulder straps was the only one worth getting.

    • @OzinflatablekayaksAu

@@koru3920 I haven't had that feedback from customers, but I have been told that the skirts are HUGE. This is mostly a problem for small people, though. Cheers, Emily.
