- Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame is a Boss in Elden Ring. Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame is a Legend boss and the embodiment of the Frenzied Flame found in Midra's Manse. This is an optional boss as players don't need to defeat it to advance in Shadow of the Erdtree.

I never understand when people show videos and they have a much less aggressive boss than me. When I fight all the aggro is on me and I am just rolling like sonic the hedgehog

I was going to say exactly the same thing. Maybe it's because I'm at NG+7, but every DLC boss that I've fought has been on me. I can barely even get the Mimic out half the time. Much less get him to keep aggro.
He used summon. Easy mode
If you use your MIMIC TEAR you can equip Shabriri's Woe beforehand, and unequip it after summoning the ash. Works fairly well in the main campaign but I haven't tried it in the DLC. It wouldn't surprise me, however, to find myself still being aggroed bc DLC Bosses seem to be a law unto themselves...🤣

The infamous glass canon Comet Azur one shot works too. To setup use Greatshield Soldier Ashes, hit the dark moon and as soon as your boys surround him again unload with the infinite FP and magic tear. Buff if you got them.

This WOULD HAVE been helpful if not for the fact that he just ignores my mimic every time.
you have the pussy cat of the lot..... my god my guy is nuts... I have tried this numerous times... my Mimic is killed fairly easily tried to keep it alive with heal thy self but apparently does not work in the room... tried putting the warming stone in my pouch so mimic would use it and he does but he still dies.... but man my bad dude easily takes the mimic and me ... I have yet to get lower than 1/4 of Midra's life ... the half super easy and after that it is just a shit show. Soooo off to see if I can find out how to make it to the end of this fight
Use heal from afar if your mimics health is getting low 🙂
I got lucky and got a bleed in as he went up in the air and it stopped him from transitioning to phase two the rest of the fight

Rot breath and blood friends arm with savage lions claw made it a fairly quick fight too. I never thought of using flies!
He goes at it with my mimic but still kills me when he aggro towards me and I’m spamming flies the whole time 😂😂😂😂

Bosses with crazy AOEs just become plain annoying for me and on top of that the Bosses can pretty much one shot you unless you have crazy hp. I just much prefer Bosses in DS3, Demon Souls, Lies of P where there is a sense of battle about the encounter rather than just avoiding the one shot death. I decided I am just going got bulldoze through this DLC with crazy OP weapons rather than embrace the challenge and try something new and different.
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your help! The challenge kept me engaged for two evenings, and I must say, I found it even more difficult than Moogh. Your strategy was incredibly helpful, and I truly appreciate it. Thanks again!

You didn't even get him to do the drop that lights the arena on fire (second phase). Weird.
I've noticed if bleed procs while he is in the air he will just come down and not do it.
You're missing a lot of opportunities to get in between his swings and roll past his position mid animation to get behind him and got more bleed hits in.
I think its better to stagger him with a bigger weapon TBH.

Wow… much of the ER content, mainly post DLC, has become toxic.
Maybe it’s just me - I don’t visit only RUclips for hints, techniques and strategies to me help me improve my gameplay - I also really enjoy watching other people’s gameplay (even if they are much better than I) AND the conversations about said gameplay.
This is a game right, shouldn’t we be having fun?
Unfortunately, it seems like everyone is either hating on the game or more often, each other.

Cheese in the sense of why learn anything about the boss. Panic roll if he's close and spam some ranged attack to brute force the kill. It's not really cheese to me. Real cheese is attacking him and he has no ability to hit you.

Bloodyfiends arm +25 lions claw bleed mine was at 183 and mimic tear and spiked cracked tear and opaline hardtear and golden vow. Ez win

@@cosmicbilly Agreed. I felt like he was one of the most fair bosses in the dlc once you learn his moveset.
He was fine for me. What makes him "bad"? Too easy or too hard? His AOEs don't linger and I liked that a lot. The music is great. His arena looks awesome in phase 2. This boss was pretty good.

So ng+15 is the exact same as 7.

Because you probably used furlcalling finger remedy and forgot to turn it off.
You can't summon spirit ashes while that's active.

Even if you don't summon anyone, if it's left on without deactivating it, you won't be able to use spirit summons.
I literally just did it to confirm and doesn't work for me.
As soon as I turned it off, it started working again.
@@cosmicbilly I’ll have to check, because I’m not saying I know 100% but that ain’t the way it’s ever worked for me to the best of my knowledge. Because I’ve attempted to summon people in before, couldn’t get anyone, so went in the boss room and used my mimic.

@@2THLESS Blessings and ashes are very important but you know what is even more so?, your BASE stats….. because what does the scadu blessing base it’s numbers on??? Your BASE STATS, that’s like says playin with 10 vigor in the DLC doesn’t matter because you can just pick up scadubranches, it ABSOLUTELY matters because that 10 vigor is still 10 vigor in the DLC buddy
