I think people really need to manage their expectations for games like this. It started as a one-person project and now there's still only about 30 people working on it. It's not gonna be as great as these demos. Same goes for the WuKong game.
why make that assumption? sure temper expectations but if they look good why wouldnt they be? a lot of games dont look great in motion and usually arent
Why u make that assumption lol? The dude been working on this game for 10 fking years... only to be undermined by some random shit dude on internet named ''yes''
@@PhilipId 😂😂😂
@@FultonRecovery If I was the dude I would be really pissed rn, imagine dedicating a good chunk of your life to your dream project, only to get undermined by some random shit dude on the internet who probably never did anything worth in his life and spends his time throwing shades in other people projects?
Valheim was made by 5 people and it became hugely popular, and is an awesome game.
5:46 cut scene started again from around 5:24, camera fixed when player in control, the camera move "cinematic" when in cut scene mode.
"I don’t know what’s happening, I just know that it looks cool" It's the embodiment of why I don't like this kind of games, cool graphics and effects but the gameplay is just dodge for 2 hours then spam him to death when he stops attacking. The graphics are cool tho but I personally don't like it
Same, it feels like it's all flair and no substance. I might be wrong and It might actually end up being a good game, but as it stands it doesn't look like something that would be fun to play, even if it looks crazy.
I dont know man, you could describe DMCV like that and its a game with A LOT OF SUBSTANCE. Probable the most mechanically rich game ever made. Engaging af. This is a bit more flashy, but if theres cool mechanics, maybe itll be something amazing. I agree it look a bit too mashy, though
5:47 actually I think that was a cutscene or maybe quick time events since the camera was so close that I think we just simple watch.
These guys obviously wanted to make a game about vergil but cant get the license to do it lol
I agree lol
Why about him specifically?
Because of the combat style? Or the character?
@@Boris82 i could see exactly the animations of:
Trick dodge
Judgment cut
Judgment cut end
Drive
Also the claws are like Beowulf
@@giuliopugliese6952
I see.
Still doesn't mean they wanted to make a story about vergil :)
@@Boris82 no one talked about story, the most notable part of Vergil in DMC is his combat style and this game clearly has many nods to it
14:25 i'm pretty sure that's Summoned Skull not Obelisk my man :D
Notice me prod lol. Jk love your content man my favorite youtuber
Me as a Chinese, really don't know when our game developers can make games so good, I was so surprised.
Imagine playing this on acid 🥵
i promised to myself never to go further than weed and alcohol
@@heirofheart766 good for you little buddy
let me know when i can have a adjust particle effect intensity slider
Just watch its gonna be a city building gacha game when it releases
Genshin impact lol
It’s a project supported by Sony and it’ll be on PS5 and PC
First few minutes and this makes me think code vein and genshin impact had a baby.
More like Final Fantasy and Ninja Gaiden/Devil May Cry
It’s literally noctis sword switching mixed with attacks from Virgil and other games
This game has nothing to do with souls lol. The combat is a lot more DMC inspired
You're right. Some of those moves are almost directly ripped from dmc combat.
@@AcousticOlli I'm pretty sure it's people who are only aware of dark souls due its popularity but have never actually played or beaten it. 3rd person action games like dmc are more explosive and action pacted. They are about stringing moves together and building an unending conbo that makes you feel unstoppable. Dark souls combat is not only slower but much more deliberate. They play almost like rhythm games where success is about timing and knowing when to strike and dodge.
12:48 *SLAY ALL*
Look who it is
@@GodOfCasuls general kenobi
Meh, it looks cool, but not nearly as interesting as Black Myth for me
9:40 They gave him clouds advent children omnislash with a drill down ending lol
Eh, this one looks to generic to me, im more excited for monkey king
Evolution of gaming. You saw it here on Prod!!!! Thanx brother
11:47 had me weak lmao like they could for all we know be aliens or parasites that took over the minds of what used to inhabit that place (I mean Sir drago tried to take over -diablo- I mean John's body) not to mention if anything has swords for hands it's likely regarded as a monster teir animal I don't know if there's any lore already released
I immediately subbed once you gave the link to the original video. Class act.
It’s on PS and PC. Was supposed to release on PS4 in 2020 so expect it sooner rather than later.
It's from chinese novels:mythical kungfu transfused into this game.
saw this in a ad on instagram 7 years ago and have been waiting for drop since
When he said "That's not a cutscene" I gasped and felt like my brain was gonna blow up
This reminds me a lot of Wuxia/Xianxia novels. The "Sword skateboard" Is common in those novels, known as "Flying swords", The eastern dragons, The "Soul Swords" etc, all things that are very common in those genres
Bleak Faith Forsaken is also worth looking into. Looks like a Souls-like with an incredible Setting
His sword is like a Shardblade, with his own Spren as well. That's pretty cool. Anyone that wants to know what that is, look into the Stormlight Archive.
With those two fight at the begining.. kind a reminds me of Chaos Legion
The yellow guy POV: U Fight Gilgamesh from FATE
@4:06 looks like Fate/Stay night: Unlimited blade works level cool but in actual gameplay. When is this getting released? the initial video was from almost 5 years ago, no?
This is set for ps5, and it's been in development for a few years actually so might get some more news on it soon at E3 or next year
5:30 what kind of cartoon did u watched dude?, that looks fucking amazing
The Gilgamesh animations on that guy alone are enough to make me buy this game. Beautiful.
Ohh i remember watching the concept for this back in 2016 to think they would finally release it. Cant wait to see how people will play it.
I was watching this in 240p and even THEN this is still insanely impressive
Souls-like? Hell no, this is a Spectacle Fighter in the same vein as Devil May Cry and Bayonetta. Maybe even ramped up a bit. I have a few small issues with it though. There seems to be very little impact with your attacks, which these kinds of games kinda needs. At least a little bit more than this. And it might even be a bit too busy visually with all the effects making it hard to avoid attacks. I guess it's just a matter of "getting good" xD
Seems quite interesting!
when you said "bro you just woke up Obelisk the Tormentor" I laughed so hard because you read my mind. Good stuff Haha
My favorite part is 12:07 when Manus, Father of the abyss shows up out of no where 😂
I remember hearing about this from the guy who was developing a DBZ game on unreal engine ages ago, saying that this game was being made by ONE guy who was "blueprinting" everything
The chidori call-out was money, yugioh reference too
can't believe i've been following this game's developpement since 2012-13 :O my man really managed to make it real huh
I noticed that the animations do not carry the wieght of the big Boi monster 12:04
