I think that’s kind of the consensus. Dylan is an amazing vocalist, but the songs just aren’t interesting enough to justify being so long. They mean virtually nothing in the plot, they’re not really great out of the context of the musical, there’s no flashy choreography or anything interesting on stage to make up for the boring songs, and lyrically they’re not amazing either. And the fact that there’s TWO of them makes it even worse.
