I have the problem with both my fuel gauge and my temp gauge, and I saw how there's a line of contacts for each of the main components in that cluster. Great video, thanks, man.
I just finished doing this fix. Before soldering, there is a conformal coating on the pins that should be taken off. When I took off the coating, the solder was broken on the pins of all the LED connectors. I resoldered them and added more solder (hopefully it will help with strength). I had been seeing issues with the speed and fuel gauge, but the temperature gauge pins were also cracked. My display works excellent now. Thanks for the video, it gave me enough information to fix my issue.
Do you have any idea about the problem of my upper cluster?the problem is the upper cluster is still on even the engine is already off. Thank you and bless you
Yes that can cause that. But in this case it wasnt really eratic, just reading backwards or a couple lines wouldnt light up. Has been doing great since we did the repair.
