After multiple months of debating if I wanna try this myself or not I finally bought some 10” Meathooks and I don’t know why I was so worried, it was the easiest upgrade ever. The fairing makes it seem intimidating but it’s super easy! And thank you for the step by step video it made the whole process super simple!
I ordered 16in plug and play bars from dominator on May 25th, on June 5th I emailed for an update, they told me the bars would ship that Friday or the next Tuesday. They did not ship and Dominator will not respond to any of my emails. Turns out, this very issue is a constant complaint on BBB with this company...
Excellent explanation and these are the bars I planned for my own bike. Harley here in canada told me I couldn't get them in 10 inch. Thank you for showing me that I can good video.
I purchase the bars for my brother, and unfortunately they sent the wrong items and I must say dominator industries company has the worst service that I ever had with after several emails I’m still being ghosted. I just wanted to share my experience with that company for future customers to be aware of.
@@dansproshop yeah, they don’t have any phone numbers the only way of contacting is by via email . Their only response is “I e check with tech and they’ll get you dialed in “ I know you don’t represent them bud I’m just getting pissed by the whole situation.
I'm eyeballing a set of 12" all in one for my 08 street glide. after doing a demo ride on the 24 road glide limited with the taller oem bars, it made me want taller bars even more for my 08 SG
Did you have any problems with Dominator Industries? Ive read a lot of bad reviews on forums. They are the most affordable 1.5" diameter meathooks I could find, with a decent width. The factory 47's are a little too wide for me.
I absolutely love working with them. You know how things work. People only leave reviews when they are upset. Rarely does anyone leave a review when they are satisfied with service. Best of luck!
You did a great job making the video. The only suggestion I have is I would have liked you to show the handlebars side by side. I have a limited like you, but I thought the stock bars were 10” too. What are they 8” bars?? I always thought 12” was the way to go but you made a good presentation for the 10”. Do you find the bike easier to handle with the 10” or the same? Take care.
Hey Dan, I am currently putting 12 inch miter apes on my 2008 street glide. However, I am having a very hard time pulled the slack out of the wires to get the throttle and hand controls in. Did you run into this or do you have any tips or advice?
The clamp location is still the factory OD so the original clamp will work. If you want the better clamp you can use the link in the description of the video
So I was wondering were those the 100% plug and play bars because on their website for the 100% plug and play bars it says, “Factory Harley Davidson twist grip sensor fully installed and PreWired!” So I was just wondering which ones those were like if they were just prewired or the 100% ones.
If anyone can help answer my question, I've been looking at the 12" meathooks pre wired, I've got a '21 48 which is dual cable throttle, do these bars have those built in?
If your throttle is drive by wire or (electric) you can have internal wires. If your throttle is cables or (manual) you have to run them exterior because cables cannot bend like wires. Hope this helps!
We were just checking everything to make sure it works and unfortunately our heated grips don’t work and we have front blinkers but no back? Any suggestions?
Just a little update we did loosen up all of our mounting and everything started to work (most likely a kinked or squished wire). The only thing we had a problem with was our heated grips weren’t working but found an extra accessory power cable snugged up in the frame and now they work!
The only thing I don't like is the tie downs being mounted that high pull the front the forks down so they're compressed while on the trailer going down the road. That's not good for fork seals at all. Thankfully, they make soft straps so you don't have to put all that stress on your fork seals when you trailer. Also, gotta give Kruesi his credit for the Crown Royal bag idea. Haha
That's what I've heard. They are the most affordable 1.5" meathooks I could find. Plus, the width isn't too wide. The Factory 47's are 37" and that's probably a little too wide for me.

Great video. I did 10 la chopper bars on my 15. streetglide. I’m about ready to do the same on my 2020 cvo streetglide
Thank you!! Good luck!

@dansproshop thank you for replying, bro.
I plan on installing these same bars, they will be 14”, will I need anything additional other than the bars and maybe a riser?

Lootttsssss of lube. Trust me. lol
Wonderful job 👏
Thank you! Cheers!
When installing the new bars, should I replace the bushings even if I buy the anti roll clamp?
It’s not a bad idea!
Great video!!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks!!
I like their products but I'm confused by the pre-wire bars and the all in one add on kit. Do I need both ?
Just get the pre wired and you should be set!
Thank you from a new subscriber!
Great video 👍
Thanks!
Amazing love it 😍
Thanks !!
Where did you purchase the 1 .5 riser clamp from im doing 12 inch 1.5 meathooks pre wired on 11 streetglide
The clamp location is still the factory OD so the original clamp will work. If you want the better clamp you can use the link in the description of the video
I'm kinda wondering how your bars in this video had plug ins for the throttle? I had to run my wires all the way through.

Did you have any trouble with company? Their BBB rating is not good but I really like the bars lol
I can only speak to my personal experience. I had no issues at all and I absolutely love the bars!
Yes they are terrible
If I have to take off brake line and install longer one is bleeding going to be necessary?
Yes. 100%
We were just checking everything to make sure it works and unfortunately our heated grips don’t work and we have front blinkers but no back? Any suggestions?
Oh man. There are a lot of potentials there. Did you have any specific trouble?

@@dansproshop thank you! Your video was the best help we found going through this whole process. It really did wonders!

Haha. Thanks!
How long did it take to get your bars
3 days
What can you do if the new handlebar throttle wire came with a white plug not a green one. ?
Nice like it mate
Thanks! I think it turned out great!
Streetglide cvo 2015 possible???
I don’t see why not. The cvo is just a fancy street glide. Everything underneath is exactly the same
Any different for 09 street glide?
Some parts may be different, but the process is the same
Only for newer bikes, us guys that have and love our older classic bikes must look elsewhere. There are other shops that do this too, if not better...
Garbage quality bars. Garbage customer service. Buyers beware.
