Just finished installing bars on my 04 FXDWG and the tip about dropping the rear wheel was a huge time saver. Thanks 🙏
I’ve got an 03 getting ready to install hc 18” bars. Any tips or troubleshooting you came across?
@@djkilpatrick5256 I used wire lube on the cables to pull them through the bars and a trick I saw online was to use a shop vac to suck the string through the bars in order to pull the new wires through - Worked like a charm. The main harness was a little tricky to pull through the front but with some patience it eventually came out after I watched this video and lowered the rear end to access the panel under the fender. PS - take a picture of the wire harness connectors to make sure the wires go back in the correct place...
@@MrJonsong sweet. Thanks bud
I wish I had my own shop and career like you man lol. I’m so addicted to learning about bikes 24/7. Your living the dream man!
I think I wanna make a small shop. For general bike maintenance , and modifications.
Your honesty will get you Gods blessing.thanks for your hard work wisdom and knowledge. God Bless your family.
Best in depth video I’ve watched so far. Thanks!!

What can i say !!! two thumbs up...you got it ,best teacher ever !!! not complicated with you,!You just need to listen and look that's alll...
Incredible string of videos...thanks a bunch from those of us who are new to wrenching bikes but have visions and ideas which must be realized!! Priceless know-how!
can you tell me what exact bars those are please
Awesome clip Robert. Well done. Thank you 🙏
Thanks for the video, would love to see a video for installing apes on an older model Road King, I have a 2000 and this is my next modification.
What is the make and model of these bars?
Very nice fork: bars alignment.
Excellent info. I'm putting similar bars & new tins my '00 Wide Glide. MMI never told me wiring was in the backbone.
Can you post a pic when you get the new bars on? I have a 00 WG I'm looking to put new bars on
Awesome video , feelin more confident to take this job on myself 🤘
Very informative! Thank you!
+Phillip Monroy You bet!!! Thanks for watching
Thank you for your video it helped soooooooo much!!!
Helpful..indeed
Just bought a set of 14" prewired ape hangers off ebay and was hoping someone posted something on youtube to give me some pointers. I think I'm mechanically inclined enough and confident I can do this with a little instruction. I used to wrench on my older bikes all the time but I'm real sure that my 2008 Fat boy is going to be a bit more challenging to say the least.
I am glad to see you guys posted something. I haven't begun my project yet but I'm sure this will be a huge help.
Here's the best part...Ironically, I purchased my pre-wired bars complete with all the necessary cables from an organization called Hill Country Custom Cycles. Maybe you've heard of them. I'll let you know how it turns out.🤞
Hey Scott I just recently purchased an ‘11 fatboy myself. How’d the install go for you? You go through any tough troubles? Thx
I got a 2000 dyna wide glide and I'm trying to to put 16 inch meat hook ape hangers on it and for extension cables I'm only seeing wire kits to do it one by one but I found a couple sets of handlebar control switches with the wires that have the connector pieces like the ones in the video so I didn't know if I could buy the handlebar control switches with the connectors or if I needed to buy the wires and do it individually cause the person I bought the bike from cut them and tried to solder them and I don't think they knew what they was doing trying to get help to do it the right way
Great instruction. I like those bars for my recently acquired 2014 FLSTFB, Do they come in Black? Matte, preferably. I've done plenty of wrenching on metrics but this is my first HD. Very Exciting!
Great explanation!
Thanks for the great video
VERY NICE HANDLEBAR
Awesome video. Subscribed.
Love the 95th Dyna. Best paint scheme the MoCo has ever applied. Would've been a great time to take apart the switch housings and added somevchrome button caps :)
Thanks for the great video !!!!
Thanks.
Thank you so much
Do you install for a 2014 Heritage. Thanks Boss.👍👍👍👍
I have 6 in risers w stock bars, myb 10 in apes?
Great video really helps, can i ask will a set of 10" ape hangers fit my dyna superglide custom 2010 without changing any of the cables? Thanks
When changing stock handlebars on a 2003 HD Dyna WG to 9' mini ape hangers, will I need to change the cables? I'm thinking of replacing the handlebars. Thanks
Would this tutorial work for a 17’ softail deluxe?
any install video for a breakout from 2018 ?
i just got 10 inch ape hanger bars but they are not dimpled what other hardware do i need to buy to get it back together
I have a 2002 Vtx 1800s and I am currently looking for hangers to install on my bike is it possible hangers like those will fit a Vtx if not what do you recommend and if so what modifications has to be done to fit correctly??
Thanks in advance
How do you install the grips and controls with that taper?
Great job guys, but I'd like to bring it to you, to much work for me, and I want it done right,Lol!!
What risers are those?
what about turn signal switch in the switch houseing?
Can you simply not drain the tank from the fuel valve?
Nice
Would this be the same concept for a Dyna Fat Bob
Hey boss is it possible to buy a long sleeve shirt HC in black.
Are the plugs the same on a 2006 hearitage Softail and a 2012 hearitage Softail one plug each side ?
Are these the narrow bars?
How about a video to replace handlebars on a1997 Ultra Classic? Putting 10” Apes on. Stock cables should be long enough from what I’ve been told but a video would really help me. Ty
Bet that wiring pull wouldn't be so easy on my 2001 FXDWG.
can i buy this in spain ?
What's the price on those ape bars with the wiring already installed for an 07 suzuki boulevard c50t
Anyone know how hard it is to swap out 18" apes for 18" apes? I want to switch styles. If everything is virtually the same, could it be as simple as loosening the grips and reverse feeding cables and wires and not mess with anything internally?? Thanks
Yes
What about 1995 and earlier?
What model of Ape hangers is that?
+J H Hell Bent
Крутатень👍🤟
Anyone know what the speedo mount is and if that can be purchased separate? I've been looking for one like that for a minute now.
Can see its not for beginners.
Can it be done in 3 hours by the dealer or experiance dude ?
I’ve been plenty of people on diff Harleys never need to cables
Oh..a purple wizard sleeve.
+brandon jones yes, it’s magical. LOL
FIX THAT TANK
Let’s talk about how unsafe these are in a front tire blowout
in what world are dynas up to 2017 carbureted lmao
All that for handlebar swap? Wtf
what's the point of making a video where you just fast forward through the process of removing cables and wires?
Dude likes to hear himself talk. I bet he’s really hard to work for.
