When we did a quick test of Awesome GTI's RS6 vs our own EVIL GT RS6 most of you guys said the stock exhaust sounded better so today we decided to do a bit of a better test. So we did a few drivebys at higher and lower speeds just to see if we could make up our mind on which sounds the best.

Keep it stock Lee, the difference is minimal. Just not worth the money.

Blimey £3.5k, and you have to be standing on the side of the road, letting someone else drive your car past, to hear a slight difference, yeah well worth it 😂
That miltek sounds no different on a drive by, I honestly wouldn’t waste my money on it
The difference in noise is not worth the money for the Miltek, bang some downpipes on the stock system

Car sound is extremely difficult to show through a microphone, I guarantee if you hear it in real life you will have different opinion. I have same issue with my e46, too loud to record with a mic.
Should go custom fine tune the exhaust to what they want. Also get rid of the fake tips.

@@h0gge016 Not really, miltek is louder and cant be picked up by the mic properly, the quieter stock one goes through the mic alot better. Hope it makes sense. ;)

boys in the world we live in today I honestly don't understand anyone who is into cars and humour that doesn't sub - I've said it before but I'm going to say it again just keep being you and doing the content you do. standing out in a crowd is what will set you in front of the crowd
Both cars sounds wicked however I don’t think that’s enough difference to justify it. I’d wait for a better system to come out!

Just want to see it go to good use I’ve just bought some Porsche 18z brake callipers for it too to try motivate me! If I don’t do anything to it in the next month who ever wants it with all the bits can have it but it has to be built to over 600 whp 👍
here is an idea for you, and you guys know I love the channel no matter what: do same tests but with small fridge and washing machine in the back, makes more sense for estate :D

As the others are saying, keep the exhaust stock. Unless you get bored and go for upgraded power... the awesome car is something else but it’s a business advertisement.. Your RS 6 is lovely, looks tremendous. Great content guys keep it coming 👍🏻

I would keep stock. Can you turn off the soft limiter with stock? Might be worth a go.

I use Millteks all my cars what I love about them is they aren't in your face loud they just amplify the exhaust note nicely. You can get much louder systems but they are terrible to live with especially on long journeys on motorways. The Milltek is just the perfect balance for me it improves the sound to a decent level that doesn't do your head in.

Standard exhaust res delete and sports cat will sound good and go well to plus lot cheaper then £3500 also u could put couple carbon tips on standard exhaust to if u want it looking good

Like all things its down to personal preference. It will sound different in person too but from what I can hear from the vid I'd keep it stock and spend the money elsewhere, but that's me.
I said it from your first vid when you were comparing the Miltek to the oe equipment. The oe is definitely “deeper” and suits the car, save ya dosh man😉

I had the sports exhaust on my 2018 RS4. The exhaust really loosens up after about 4,000 miles and sounds good, I would stick with the stock one

Honestly, stock is great for a new car!
If the miltek is 4K odd. It be such a waste of money. Your better off with a full system deleting the PPF and soft limiter

I put out PPF and did Stage 1 on my C8 and honestly it’s perfect ! Don’t need to buy Miltek.
The noise sounds very close to me, only slightly different. I’d be more interested in the difference in power from the new exhaust, would it free up any more horses out of the engine

Is it possible to do a backbox delete on RS6? On older S series at least you could. Its cheap, but could be too loud for some. There is a company in UK that makes replacement pipes for backboxes on Audis at least.
Definitely need it lowered, look at the difference in those wing mirror heights.
Ben - being an Audi man, what are your thoughts on MTM tuning for Audi?

I’d just stick downpipes on the standard exhaust personally👍🏻🔥 on the fly-bys I dare say the standard sounds louder!!
Go with resonator delete on the factory exhaust, cost effective, heavy sound deaden deleted, also get to hear the difference and then comparison in a cost effective mod, that not many possible have done
Not sure if its possible on the C8 but why don't you try a resonator delete like the c7 c7.5 gets mines been done on a c7 s7 and it make a massive difference
Totally agree with you two guys regarding the sound. Not worth changing the exhaust for minimal sound. However, i think you will opt for the Akrapovic exhaust. Better sound, better quality, better design and better looking. But i bet they are circ 4k plus. 😳 Looking forward to hearing the difference.

Love the rs6 .if your gonna do the exhaust. Throw a set of down pipes on the on it aswell. Bigger turbo and a new remap 👍

Both sounds like Dysons.. check Calvins Car Diaries RUclips videos on his blue RS6’s exhaust notes (he used to own) which VRS tuned ;)
Save your coins boys, the stock exhaust system sounds fine. A supercharger on the RS4 would be a fine project.
Definitely leave it stock Lee, I agree with Ben better ways to spend 3.5k, if there was a noticeable difference in exhausts I would but there isn't. Love the videos lads 👊

Im not sure if it’s because watching thru you tube but I think the difference is so minimal I wouldn’t bother to be honest. I would be interested to know what the akropovic sounds like 👍
It is exactly the same with my RSQ3. At lower rpm. there is a massive diffrence as the milltek exhaust remove the mid silencer.
However, at higher RPM when flat out, the difference is quite difficult to hear. I think it is also mostly due to the sound aktor (fake sound inside) and opf.
Also note that the exhaust will be homologated so it should not be louder. But the tone is much more aggressive, more heavy, more sporty.
I don't know if it's worth the price, but that's how the car should have come the first place... with more presence at lower rpm
I did stage 1, put out OPF on my C8 ... and definitely don’t to buy Miltek.... it’s just perfect 🔥
What tune did you get on it?
The camera does a really great job normalizing the volume of both exhausts. In person, I bet it's loads louder but the camera is making them sound nearly equal. Even with high quality headphones I can't tell much difference in volume. Tone, Milltek has less grumble over 3500rpm. I'd say for a bit more volume, it's not worth the 3500.
Brooooooooo supercharging the RS4?! Hell yeah. That's how you'll get views too. That's a dream build for a lot of Audi fans.
Why don't you try a back box delete on the standard exhaust? Neither of them sound loud enough for me. I think you should ArmyTrix it.

Lee, no great difference in my opinion, stock sounds mint. I would save the cash for Michelin tyres and other mods, as that’s where you will see true benefit in your spending. It sounds fantastic already, so if it were mine, I would leave it stock pal. Tyre change would be a must for me. Loving the content, keep it coming lads. 👍
Marks does sound slightly louder with the milltek but he does have 120hp more which means more air going into the engine and out, same with fuel getting burnt which means more noise even on lower rpm.
I own a golf r mk7.5 with milltek system and went from stage 2 to stage 3. I went from 400hp to 520hp, it’s so loud now compared to when it was 400hp. Same exhaust and 120hp gain but the exhaust now sounds immense like 40% louder.
You guys need to remap it first, you will be shocked how loud it will go just with a remap.
As most of the time the car will be driven at lower speeds, sitting in traffic or low end accelerations it makes sense to change the exhaust so you get smiles for all the miles.....!!!...I previously owned an S7 and just did a cat delete and x pipe , which was perfect and only cost £650....!,
When your sat at those lights , and you tap that throttle what will turn heads , and put a smile on your face ? the MILLTEK !!!!

Full 3” Turbo back custom system with sport cat’s is the way to go for me
I agree on throttle they don’t sound much different and low down the stock sounds better. It’s the down pipes that will make the difference, save your money or go for down pipes.
I do miss the 4 tip exhaust as opposed two the oval covered version.
Just shows you how much the GPF’s take away the sound! I couldn’t spend that much for a minimal change. However, i’d still want the exhaust to sound better. Could you not look at getting the standard exhaust modded? Not sure on the layout but seeing if you could have the backbox or resonators modded or taken out? Much cheaper than a full system but similar results.
Whatever exhaust it’s still a beautiful motor!!

I think the answer is,is there a decent performance improvement,because I don’t think I would change it on the strength of what I heard.
